Which season is your favorite?

I would have to say Season 2 is my favorite. The first episode I actually watched was the season premiere to Season 2, and it was awesome. And all the other songs and episodes in the season were top notch in my opinon. The other seasons were okay, but S2 takes the cake.

Season 2 because most of my favorite episodes are in there (Lesson Zero, Read it And Weep, and a few others) -- plus, it had some of

the prettiest screenshots ever. And the songs were fantastic. And Discord and Queen Chrysalis! Yes!

 

Season 1 was a close second, though.

 

Season 3 is not second because I:

 

-- Didn't really want to see a 'reformed' Discord

 

-- Not very many episodes

 

-- Twilicorn -- because now all of my Twi - ships seem ridiculous except for TwiMac.

Season one I'd say, just because of how awesome the pilot episodes were. It was a great start to the series and I couldn't think of a better way to introduce all the characters.

I was S3 for a while, as it was going on and shortly after, but looking over it again, I suppose it's a bare match from S2 and S3 for me.

• S2 had Discord, Luna returning, numerous cute episodes involving Dash like May the Best Pet Win! and Read it and Weep, several of my more memorable singular episodes like Hurricane Fluttershy, and an incredible finale (even if Chrysalis is my least favorite main villain )
• S3 had more Discord, Scootalove becoming canon, excellent new characters like Babs being introduced, easter eggs like Rainbow's Dad being revealed, Dash finally getting something to do with the Wonderbolts, WHICH MEANT MORE SPITFIRE <333, and overall, most of its' episodes were pretty good, albeit two or three 'meh' ones.

I have tried looking everywhere for a question like this, through Google and the forums. I want to know what is in your opinion the best season in MLP: FiM? I know that Lauren Faust left in the early season 2 and there is a bit of debate over the internet about Lauren Faust and Meghan McCarthy, also other writers of the show and who they think is/was doing a better job at creating the show. I personally liked season 2 and 3 more then season 1. I am sorry if there is a discussion about this already but I could not find it

That debate is really dumb and pointless. They both did a good job. Why can't they leave it at that? Anyway, I enjoyed season 2 the most because it held some of my favorite episodes from the show.

It was not meant to really be an argument on who is doing better but an opinion on what season you liked the most and I want to see other peoples opinions on which season they prefer not who is better.

Season 2. It contains IMO the most entertaining episodes, plus it contains majority of my favorites. Season 3 had it's good moments (like Magic Duel and Sleepless in Ponyville), but I felt the writers weren't as innovative as they were when season 2 was in the making.

Season 1 was the starter for the series, to most, it's a mixed bag, but it does contain a good amount of fan favorite episodes that most will enjoy.

 

Season 2 was hands down the best from beginning to end, also expanding towards more locations, character developments, and ideas.

 

Season 3 was not as bad as others say, sure, it's short and not much to say, but it's the small moments in there made it great like babs seed, the crystal empire, and more.

 

Personally, I find season 3 too hated upon.

For me, the first season was the best.

I don't know but there's something here that leave a feel of nostalgia at the end of each episodes.

Season two was good too, but it lost this nostalgia the first season had.

In season three, it is really good, but for me, it's the worst of all three.

 

I'd like more episode where it's the night, they are my favorite.

Sorry, I made this thread before season 4 came out for a reason. When season 4 does come out, I don't mind if you post this up again. It would be interesting to see if anybody has changed their minds

Season 1 started the series with a bang, but season 2 was the best starting with Discord and closing with Chryslis. Season 3 had its moments, but season 2 wins hands down.

Season One is just a starter to the show, and I think that it was a mix of good and bad episodes.

 

Season Two also has a mix of good and bad episodes.

 

Season Three to a lot of people is really hated upon but, all three seasons had a mix of good, bad, and okay episodes.

Season 2 is definitely my favorite and for many reasons. The episodes were all awesome, including my favorite, the wedding ones, it was the first full season I enjoyed with the fandom, and the fandom just seemed better back then.

Season 2 for me as well. It's the season that has most of my favorite episodes, and it's the season I started watching most when I started watching the show.

I'm gonna go with Season 3 mostly because of Magical Mystery Cure but also all the other great episodes including but not limited to Wonderbolt Academy, Sleepless in Ponyville, and The Crystal Empire.

 

Although Season 2 comes in close second, especially because of A Canterlot Wedding. <3

So hard to choose between season 1 and 2, but i think season 2 wins because it brought us the Canterlot wedding (this day aria is the best song ever) and Return of Harmony episodes. I kinda feel like the Season 3 was worst season, and not just cause it was shorter. A lot of the episodes were kinda....eh.

The opener was "eh" and that finale still makes me want to bash my head against concrete.

I think I will stick with Season 2 as my favorite because it has the best episodes at this moment.

 

That's just me though, season 3 was pretty good and so was Season 1, but I still think Season 2 is the best.

with out a doubt season 2 is my favourite it had some of the best episodes such as Luna eclipsed, lesson zero, its about time ALL OF THE RARITY EPISODES WHERE EXCELLENT the start of the season with discord and the ending with the introduction of shining armor princess cadence and queen chrysalis

I personally don't have one, so I'm not voting, they all have their mix of good and bad episodes and I just can't pick.

The two parts of every season really did it for me, and then you have the other great episodes throughout the seasons.
I just can't pick, but If I really had to, Season 2.
