Bieber Fever Running Too High?

1. Smoking weed. Or "holding it for a friend" is the most likely excuse.

I know this tends to be a charged issue, but honestly, this is one of the most benign things he could have done.

2. Getting kicked out of clubs.

Okay, I agree. That's not so good.

3. Lashing out at the papparazzi.

I say, good for him. Those people need someone to lash out at them, because seriously, they's disgusting. Unless you mean getting physical with them. I don't really know the situation, but the paparazzi deserves to be told off.

4. Getting tattoos.

This is a bad thing? I mean, I know some people don't care much for tattoos, but I don't see anything wrong or immoral about it. I believe he should be of an age to get them at this point, right?

Okay, kiddies, it's celebrity gossip rant time. I think the problem is that so many people put celebrities on a pedestal that when they mess up, make mistakes, do the wrong thing or do something we disapprove of, it's shocking to them and makes them disappointed in the person. People completely forget that celebrities are humans, and sometimes, they mess up too. However, compared to any other people in one's life, celebrities tend to receive the most outrage, in my opinion. This may be a quantity issue, being that celebrities are more well-known than the people in one's life. That's probably part of it.

However, individual responses are much stronger, I think, for the exact same scenario between a celebrity and someone that someone personally knows. This may be due to an anonymity factor, being that they don't know you, you can be more harsh, as opposed to someone who's in your life you might lose if you're too hard on them. But why? I mean, it's good to wanna straighten out the life of someone in your life, but why do you give a shit about what celebrities do in their free time? In my opinion, celebrities are just workers. They act, they sing, they host, they do stand-up and a plethora of other jobs. That's what they're there to do. If they're doing that poorly, then yes, I feel that as a consumer, you have the right to complain. Especially if it's a movie you paid to see or an MP3 you bought. But anything outside of that they do... so what? Do you care if the guy who bags your groceries smokes pot with his buddies on the weekends? Do you care if your waiter is actually an alcoholic? Do you care if the guy fixing your shoes goes to strip clubs? No, you don't. They're there to provide a service to you. As long as they're doing that to an acceptable standard, you don't give a crap what they do with their lives. Why are celebrities any different? As long as they're producing something to your liking, what do you care what else they do with their lives?

The only thing I can think of is that they're in the public eye. Okay, you get more exposure to what they do, but why care about it? Because they're "role models?" Yeah, that's probably it. I think that parents should explain to their kids what a real role model is and the types of people whose actions they should be following. And with the stipulation that not everything that someone does is always right, even if the do a lot of good. We need to get rid of this kind of black and white mentality. Because people are always going to mess up. People need to know that so they can learn how to deal with it, instead of blaming other people for their screw-ups. Don't allow your kids to be come so, so influenced by someone. Teach them to be more independent.

And I'd like to go on record saying that I'm not a fan of Justin Bieber in the slightest. I just get annoyed that celebrities get such a bad rap whenever they make the smallest of mistakes. Even if I don't particularly like them, they're still human, and the treatment they get, sometimes, is deplorable.

He's pretty much the same as every other teeny bopper that's ever been churned out by the music industry.  The only noteworthy caveat is that he was discovered through the internet.

I dislike how they are treated differently for us. Like they are SO important....just because they acted or sung, or whatever the hell they did doesn't make them better than us. I'm sure all of us on this thread would be famous by now, it's just that we aren't recognized.

I dislike how a lot of celebrities are famous just for being famous and not because they actually contributed anything of value to society. If it were up to me the people that became famous would be the same people that became famous in the days of the Renaissance and Enlightenment era's where scientists, inventors, artists and philosophers like Leonardo Da Vinci, John Locke and pretty much all the founding fathers were the rockstars of their time. And the musicians and singers who got famous would be the ones with actual talent, I still can't get over how many of the ones that are famous today don't write their own music or lyrics and how many of them lip sync.

Society is twisted. We worship those who sing and act, two things that we could live without of. Why don't we give our respect to Important people, like doctors and farmers. They have very important jobs that are very important. But insead of giving them a small "Thank you" we run off to the store to buy Justin Bieber watches, perfumes and albums.

Also, celebrity crushes:

You are crushing on a stranger who you only know rumors about and their apperance with the mask of makeup on.

Beiber Fever has been running to high for a long time.

First, I don't like him because he thinks to highly of himself. Have you seen the way he walks, like he's Celestia himself!

Second, his fanbase. With his huge fanbase, his ego has blown out of proportion! Have you guys seen what he wrote in the Anne Frank Muesuem? He wrote she would have been a Belieber. How horrible, not everything is about you Beiber!

(end of rant)

I feel kinda sorry for the guy.

Beliebers are bucking terrifying, and I don't mean in the usual, jokey "his fans creep me out, lol". I mean that some of his fans are genuinely scary, and they've been turning on him at ridiculous levels lately. They unload hatred upon him when he doesn't meet they're standards, which has unfortunately been a lot lately.

And yes, he's an ass, but what did you expect after years of this BS? He has talent, no doubt, but it's being wasted on mediocre pop songs and an obviously fake public image. The tattoos, the shirtless-ness, the pseudo gangster look, it just feels constructed.

I'm not saying Bieber's imploding or anything, but he can not be loving all of this.

I don't hate him, but I don't like him either. Beiber can come across as arrogant at times (I remember seeing him act cocky when he was guest performing on The Voice) and apparently people who have worked with him (even some celebrities) have said that he acts like a demanding spoiled brat. I'm not sure if the latter was just a tabloid rumor though.

Smoking weed and getting tattoos aren't that big a deal though. That "cut for Beiber" thing was just uncalled for and lots of celebrities (and people in general) get tattoos as soon as they turn 18. I dislike the way he acts  but I also don't believe the guy deserves to be hated so much. His extremist fans can be just as bad as the haters though.
