music Songs by Bands that you don't listen to

Wait, do you mean bands we don't like or bands we don't listen to? Just because I don't listen to a certain band doesn't necessarily mean I hate them or anything :/

Cause there are tons of bands where I like one of their songs, but I don't care for the band enough to listen to their other stuff, but I don't dislike the band or anything.

Read the topic title, and also dislike doesn't mean hate. I just mentioned dislike in the OP because I truthfully dislike Slipknot except for that one song.

Okay well I don't care a whole lot for Fall Out Boy, but I really like the song "This Ain't a Scene, It's An Arm's Race"

Also, I don't listen to Breaking Benjamin, but I really like the song "Diary of Jane"

I don't really listen to K-pop or J-pop, but there are a few songs that I like even though I don't listen to the whole artist's album.

One of them is Bump! Bump! by BoA which I liked because of an AMV (Anime Music Video)

And the other one is Sherlock by Shinee which I really liked the dance version.

I normally don't listen to rap. In fact, I...kind of despise it. This fandom, however, has opened my mind to a LITTLE BIT of Kanye West. Just a touch. All thanks to Ponies: The Anthology. This is one of the few songs I like by him that I don't think is pure and utter shit.

Well, and Forever, but that's because Travis Barker of Blink-182 did a drum cover of it. And the chorus is used in Cryptex's The Glitch Anthem.

Avenged Sevenfold is normaly the exact opposite of what I'd listen to, but I really like a small handfull of their non-gorn/horror songs:

"You know, I don't know who or what you are Methos, and I know you don't want to hear this, but you did teach me something. You taught me that Life's about change, about learning to accept who you are, good or bad. And I thank you for that."

Not a huge fan of "Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!" (Just not that into punk, really. It gets on my nerves.) But this song, I can really get into sometimes.

Not a big fan of Florence+The Machine, but damn is this song good. Also there is the added bonus that it is a [PMV]. Ahhhh!!!!!

Need more characters for this post. That is all.

I dislike Lady Gaga in general (coming up with a mildly catchy riff, then repeating said riff endlessly over a bass drum and sampled vocals does not make you a musical genius) but I'll give credit where credit is due: Paparazzi is a really fucking good song.

I guess it's a bit odd that a metalhead would love a song like this to death but dammit, it's catchy. And awesome.

And Kelly Clarkson is really, really hot blush.png

The guy seems ok as a person, but as music goes I usually can't stand Barry Manilow.

But he did this one song on his One Voice album called Whose been sleeping in my bed, which goes for a Disco dance vibe which is right up my street, the breakdown when the hi hats and the bassline kick back in is my favorite part

It's a shame the rest of the album is depressingly dull and slow pop ballads, I have the album on vinyl and I literally don't listen to any other song on it

When it comes to electronic music, I really hate The Prophet, just to weird for my taste. But "My Style" is freaking amazing:

Otherwise, there are plenty:

"Disturbed - Stricken" (I don't like Disturbed at all, only this song and "Down with the Sickness")

"Children Collide - Skeleton Dance" (Indie Rock :P)

"Blur - Song 2"

Not so much a song, but an entire album. I think that Green Day is very boring and repetitive, as well as not being very skilled on their instruments. However, Dookie is one damn fine album. Everything about it screams "Fuck you suburbia, I hate you but I'm not going to do anything about it."

I really hate metal and music that the stereotypical scene kid likes but I do like A Little Piece of Heaven by Avenged Sevenfold. That song just works for me, like the words and stuff. It's not all deep and what not. That's good for me because I hate deep music because I fail to see any meaning besides words

I don't listen to The Birthday Massacre (nor am I interested in doing so, to be honest), but I heard their song Blue in an AMV and I liked it.

Really? Out of all the Birthday Massacre songs... the only one you listen to is Blue? I just... I... I can't...

Rather than a song, here's an artist. Daft Punk. I usually don't like electronic music since it usually hurts my head and just isn't as appealing to me however Daft Punk is simply incredible. I have their new CD pre-ordered ;)

Hey Moog, I bet you would've never expected this one. It's like the total polor opposite of what I normally listen to. Yet, I still like it

somehow :l

Yea, I like ABBA. Deal with it.

LOL @ "stereotypical scene kids listen to metal". That's probably the funniest thing I've seen all day.

I love the song Mourning Tree by Leaves' Eyes, but I'm not a huge fan of their other songs that I have listened to so far. It is absolutely beautiful.
