Lets Do Something Nice For The Staff of The Show

Alot of us appreciate what the staff of the show has done to make what could easily have been just another stereotypical "girls show" into something great but sometimes it is nice to give a little reminder that we appreciate what they do because with all the pressure they are under from both Hasbro and us it can be easy to forget sometimes. I propose this simple solution, how about we as a forum send them all a thank you card. It dosen't need to be too complicated, just a few words of encouragement and for those more artistically inclined maybe some artwork or music. I suppose I will start things off

 

Dear MLP staff,

 

Though I have watched cartoons for many years and still do I never thought one of those cartoons would be My Little Pony. Though I was skeptical I at the advice of a friend gave the show a chance and I am glad that I did. I would just like to let you know that I appreciate everything you have done to make this show one of the best I have ever seen. It has strong relatable characters, good lessons which are simple enough for children to understand yet profound enough for even adults like myself, excellent animation and story telling and more.

 

While I won't go so far as to say this show changed everything it did remind me that not everything in life is doom and gloom which has helped a bit with my depression and has brought forth a creative side in me that I have neglected for far too long. I have just bought a keyboard and have plans to for the first time in 10 years take lessons and compose music again. I know that all of you are under a lot of pressure both from fans like myself and from Hasbro and though I don't agree with some recent decisions I still like to thank you all for creating a truly great show and let you know that I and I am sure many others are grateful for what you do.

The staff put up with endless amounts of bullshit drama coming from this fandom, off the clock, on their personal Twitters and sites, all the time :3 They've supposedly even gotten death threats from some of the more radically insane people in the fanbase over Equestria Girls. Even if these things weren't true, sending a kind message to someone who works to give you something you enjoy, is just a nice idea in general, every once in a while.

 

If you're not interested, you don't have to participate ^^

While its always nice for things like this to be thought up, the writers and voice actors of MLP:FiM get swamped with fan mail every day and it wouldn't be much difference where the letter or such was from. The biggest "Thank You" we can give is to just support their decisions and watch the show they love to create.

If many of them have the time to respond to full on conversations with people over Twitter, I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't even be capable of looking at mail :3 Plus, in today's day in age, who mails classic letters anymore XD If anything it'd be unique.

I never said they wouldn't reply I just mean that they get letters every day from people, so it's not like we're doing much difference. We do more for them if we stand by their decisions and stop bitching about every small fucking detail released about the show or its offspins.

You know what, I like this idea... and I just thought of a way to do it.

 

I was just listening to this song, and I thought its subject matter seemed pretty relevant to this. You know, "don't let them win," that sort of thing. I thought if everyone could take a picture of themselves holding a sign saying "Thank you, DHX," "Thank you Ponystaff" or something to that effect, or maybe just a drawing that paid homage to them in some way, I could put all those pictures in a slideshow to the backdrop of this song. It's a classic, it's easily recognizable, and I haven't met anybody yet who didn't like it.

I like the idea so showing our appreciation for the creator(s) of an amazing TV show/ franchise, and in doing so. We show that all their hard work meant something to some people, and how MLP it’s self can move people. Also to know that if it wasn’t for them we would not be here talking about this now, and this fandom would never have been created.

I think it is a great background song for a video of you description. In matter of fact for the first few moments of the song I could visualize what the video would be like. This made me want to support the writers’ voice actors and all those people who have made MLP the awesome show it is more than ever.

This thread would need to get much more attention to warrant something like that though. Personally I think it's because it's in the wrong section. I doubt anyone would think to find a thread like this here because I can say I was surprised at least.

I totally agree, The staff work day after day, working on episodes and writing new material, also they deal with a lot of complaining. So, I say that they deserve something special.

I'm on board with this, but how is this going to be pulled off? Should we just form one mega letter that we all try to agree on and then find some way to include as many people as possible in the sig. Maybe use one of those collage's  with a shit load of OC's or signatures(drawn on tablets of course) on it as the signature. Or just simply have it say Sincerely, MLP Forums(This might be the best idea). I don't know I'm just typing out loud here.
