How Do You Think Season 4 Will Open?

So how do you think season 4 will open up?

 

We all know how season 3 ends, with Twilight flying onto the distance. Based on that ending, we can assume that Twilight knows how to fly. However, during her hot minute, we see a clip of her struggling to get off the ground.

 

So my guess, is that season 4 will open with right at the moment when Twilight starts flying. Basically she'll be so excited that she won't notice what she's doing and then Rainbow Dash will be flying next to her and be like "Hey Twilight I didn't know you could fly." and then that's when Twilight relises what she's doing, get scared and start falling. Rainbow catches her and then takes her back to the castle where the rest of the plot begins.

 

This is my guess, what's yours?

I have two favorite options. Tend to swing between them:

 

1) The opener will be set between Twilight's "Alicornification" and her coronation, that would make it easier to explain things in a logical setting, because coronating her and then explain her what happened is a bit... lame. Just my opinion.

 

2) The Equestria Games. Of course, that could come with both settings mentioned before; your intro and my "gap-filler".

Nah, I'd imagine that some time has passed, but not too much- she still hasn't figured things out yet when it comes to becoming a princess.  I'm hoping that they draw some more attention to her dorkier/more neurotic aspects of her personality, to really drive home the point that she hasn't changed fundamentally.  If it were me, I'd address all of the concerns and issues right off the bat, to allay any worries. 

 

For instance, what I'd do is make sure that *all of the Mane Six* are integral to whatever the plot is, to emphasize the idea that Twilight isn't going to just run away with the show.  Make her new position *matter*, but integrate it into the dynamics of the Mane Six as a whole.  What I didn't like about The Crystal Empire was that they were just the distraction.  In the first two season openers, they *all* had their own moment of character focus, even if they were discorded.  Give each of them a chance to shine in a relevant way.

Well considering what Meghan said the season 3 finale was the first part in a 3 part thing I think it will be right after her coronation.  There will probably be an adversary that threatens the whole world of which Equestria is in, and the elements of harmony can't effect him/her.

I think It's safe assume that the issue of not fitting to be a princess will be brought up.

I think Season 4 will open with the same opening but with Twilight's Princess Inauguration and her transformation into an Alicorn that is included in the opening. Pretty much, that's it.

they said magical mystery cure is part of a 3 parter so i guess it will open with another 2 parter that continues the story of Princess Alicorn Twilight Sparkle

Megan McCarthy says she considers the Season 3 finale sort of like a 3-parter connected to the Season 4 opening, so I'm assuming it's mostly focused around Twilight's new abilities and wings. In the short scene of Twilight's Hot Minute video you see her struggling to fly in the Crystal Empire, so maybe they have a mission there, or maybe she's helping Princess Cadence out with something.

I think Dusty Soul is right,

it will continue right after the finale of season 3...

And will probably contain a chance for Twilight to show her new abilities against a new threat (or an old, returning one?).

It can, too, be just very calm, and Twilight figuring out how to handle being an Alicorn, or there could be explosions.

Explosions make everything better, as long as nopony is hurt I mean.

Well, if the (semi-popular) notion that Twilight Sparkle won't retain her wings forever is true, then she will lose them in the Opener. Other than that, it will be similar to the Crystal Empire in the sense that we will have a villain, a dilemma, a lesson that she'll learn etc.

I thought about that hot minute scene again and again... and then I watched the Equestria Girls Trailer and thought "Wait, what if this footage is just from the movie and not from season 4?"

I mean, they are in the Chrystal Empire at the beginning, right?

Twlight's first flight ends with her hitting the side of the castle; she gets amnesia and forgets who she is. The rest of the Mane6 try to jog her memory by saying, "Remember that time...?" and then various clips from Season 1,2,&3 are shown.

As I've stated in a previous thread, I believe that season 4 will open with the last scene of season 3, and the next scene will be Twilight crashing. (Cue later episode where RD teaches her to fly). For the actual plot, I suspect Twilight will have to join forces with reformed Discord for a purpose that Celestia has forseen.

However it begins I hope it is a lot better than how season 3 ended, now that we went down that acid trip it is time for some explaining like why turn her into a alicorn now? Why not actually talk to her before turning her into one? And most importantly what are her responsibilities and duties going to be? And how much of a power boost is she going to get? A villain or some kind of other emergency might explain why it was done so suddenly and some of those questions will be answered even if this goes poorly. I guess my short answer is I don't know how season 4 will open.

I'm seeing Season 4 opening in the library, with Twilight stressed out trying to find a book about how to act like a princess and driving Spike crazy looking for one.

 

She looks at the camera and says "Maybe things aren't going to be as fine as I thought." (fade to show opening)

Oh. My. Gosh. I just thought of this. Maybe Twilight has to travel around the land introducing herself to all of the other pony nations! Like Saddle Arabia and all that. And of course the Mane 6 comes with her and maybe Luna comes too or Shining Armor/Cadence.
