Gamefreak has been getting treating like garbage over the whole debacle by their so called fanbase to the point they seriously tried to make up a fake sexual harrassment accusation on the game's director

With fans like that, who needs haters? :squee:

Regarding unpopular opinions on Pokemon, I actually enjoy every generation in the series and think that Black and White was genius. :kirin: I also like what I've seen of Sword and Shield, but completely understand why some people want to skip it.

Isn't this a common opinion? I remember Arkham Knight getting a lot of flack on release, especially with the lie of the titular Arkham Knight being an original character(only for him to turn out to be Dick Grayson)

Actually, that’s Jason Todd, the second Robin. But I agree to those points as well, but I think they are actually popular opinions . Thought of one, Arkham Origins is better than Knight, due to the virtue of having the greatest amount of great boss fights in the Arkham series. Sure, City has the best ones: Ras Al Gul,  and Neighsay... sorry: Mr Freeze. But most of top 10 Arkham bosses are in Origins: Slade, Copperface, Killer Croc, Firefly, and Bane

I don't like online play.

Neither do I. At most I’m considering subscribing to Nintendo Online just for Smash, but never been for online games. Only played a handful of them on PS3. In fact, I’m not much of multiplayer until general, I’m a lone wolf

I don't like the Spyro games much sorry Path

Also, Pokemon SWSH had potential. If more time was put into it, it would actually be good

Since most people seem to hate it. I actually loved Pokémon Sword and Shield. Since pokemon emerald over the years each new game has left me bored. Emerald left me with high expectations that the games have been failing to meet. The games have been getting easier and easier to the point where Sun and Moon was going to be the determining factor on whether or not I stop playing them altogether. Especially after how omega ruby and alpha sapphire were.

Sun and Moon were the first pokemon games I enjoyed in ages. Sword and Shield have been no exception. For once I don’t feel like my hand is being held and wins thrown at me like in the past games. I also appreciate how sword and shield didn’t bore me to death with the tutorial as well. It went by fairly quick which I appreciate. The less they bore me with details I already know the better. Or if they’d at least add a skip button so I don’t have to be shown how to throw a pokeball for the millionth time.

That being said I completely understand why some don’t like Sword and Shield. After omega ruby and sapphire I’ve had acouple friends quit playing the games all together over their frustration with what the games have become. As long as they put out games I enjoy I’ll continue to buy them.

However I am right on the fence with them. They’re going to have to release more games I like to win me back completely.

Tom Nook from Animal Crossing is a flippin’ saint and I love him.

I admit, “Tom Nook is a mob boss/loan shark” jokes actually do make me laugh, but let’s be real... The guy gives you an interest free loan you can pay back at ANY TIME. No credit score needed. And he pretty much lets you pay it back in fish, bugs, and fruit.

He buys coffee for the Able Sisters for no reason other than to be nice. He took in/adopted twin boys and now they’re basically his partners in his business dealings. In the original game he just offers you a job on the spot the moment you move in to help you get on your feet.

Tom Nook is a good boy.

I do not like any type of massive multiplayer game. Regular multiplayer games, like Team Fortress 2 are fun to play once in a while, even better are games like the Borderlands series that have a story and can be played with friends.

But mostly I play single player games. I like games that have interesting stories and I like the fact that I can play a single player game as frequently as I like - if I do not play the game for a few months, everything will be the same when I finally get back to it.

I think I've listed quite a few already, just going to compile those and a few more:

  • Cynthia was honestly not that difficult of a champion as long as you have a decently balanced team. I honestly have always found Steven a more difficult champion than she was, considering the predominantly Steel typing, and how many types his mons f***ing resist...
  • Paladins is better than Overwatch, by a longshot, and that's not even considering the fact Paladins is free and OW isn't. Not to mention, the shamefully bad morality of Blizzard in catering to the Chinese government.
  • Apparently that Gen 8 of Pokémon has been... really bad. I don't mean just really bad for the series now (I did before, kind of), but now, it's actually atrocious with a load of design flaws, and now a scummy way of making you pay 30 bucks more for a still much less complete game than you could get with 60 before. Hopefully people regard it eventually as the Pokémon rendition of Star Wars Battlefront 2 that it really seems to be becoming. I honestly think Game Freak should be ashamed of how bad the games are. :unamused:
  • Speaking of Pokémon, Gen 2 is absurdly overrated. Gen 2 is honestly a pretty mediocre at best generation looked at a lot through those nostalgia goggles. I honestly think in retrospect that Pokémon didn't really hit its stride in any way, shape, or form, until Gen 3.
  • Also, Gen 4 is the best generation and it gets an absurd amount of flak that isn't only unjustified, but also based on utter nonsense and even downright lies. Speaking of which, Diamond and Pearl are honestly masterpieces of Pokémon games, slight frame dips be d@mned.
  • Sora doesn't even remotely belong in Smash Bros, and I'm honestly really annoyed by people who think he somehow is a perfect fit... The precedence it would have would pretty much ruin Smash by flooding it with Disney characters.
  • Fallout 3 is a mediocre at best, and honestly incomplete game in hindsight. I honestly am beginning to think that I have no idea why its still regarded so highly. New Vegas really is a heck of a lot better in every possible respect.
  • Shadow the Hedgehog is actually a good game, and gets flak that I simply do not understand in any way other than "It offends me because it's different." I mean at least that makes sense, because that acknowledges the nonsense that goes into bashing this game over and over.
  • Final Fantasy IV is honestly better than Final Fantasy VI. Not to say VI is bad, because it sure as f*** isn't, but IV is honestly the best of the franchise.
  • Ocarina of Time, while yes being a GOOD game, is nothing like the masterpiece it's often heralded as being.
  • Goldeneye 007 is honestly a bad game with horrendous gunplay even for the time that is actually a quite obvious case of nostalgia goggles being worn by pretty much the entirety of the mainstream gaming community.
  • Grand Theft Auto games are boring... Like I honestly get totally sick and bored of them within 45 minutes of play, and that's generous.
  • Gex 2 was honestly one of the best platformers of the N64 era, right up there with the likes of Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64.

THANK YOU. I am... SO ANGRY... with the news of the DLC.

I was not impressed with the games before, but now I’m like, actually pissed.

Bet they deliberately announced Mystery Dungeon to soften the blow, like Blizzard announcing Diablo 3 while they were getting heat for their Blitz Chung debacle.

I hardly hear anyone talk how OOT is amazing these days. It's kind of not really talked at all, even. A lot of the praise goes to either Majora's Mask or BOTW now.

I thought Medal of Honor 2010 was an absurdly forgettable game who's campaign felt like uninspired and multiplayer that was pretty much copying Bad Company 2's style, while I found Medal of Honor: Warfighter to be honestly a good game, with what I'd actually say to be quite solid multiplayer.

Apparently this is somehow an unpopular opinion... Fail to see how.

Second is definitely unpopular. I remember Warfighter being broken on release and requiring an unusually large day one patch to even run properly(including multiplayer). I also remember returning the game after noticing some of the guns had you zooming out when trying to aim

Exactly. Even in the first game, back when I was 12, I thought to myself the guy was fair enough never to threaten you to lose your home if you don't pay him. Plus being able to make money by selling practically anything in Animal Crossing is a Godsend compared to real life, where the only money I made outside of an actual job was selling my old video games and systems.

At least Mystery Dungeon had the more interesting story than the main Pokemon Games. Especially, the relationship between the Hero and Partner Pokemon

I do like the multiple endings. Plus, I tried to unlock as many Story Mode combinations as possible just for the heck of it.

One personal downside is I was 2 missions short of A-ranking all of them and unlocking Expert Mode

While Metroid Federation Force is not an outstanding game, it’s decent. Better than Prime Hunters. And I believe most of the hate directed at it was due to the general bad taste for the negligence on the franchise. Had they announced the development of Prime 4, and or Samus Returns alongside it for a later date, Federation Force would have been far more accepted
