gaming The Games that you never got around to finish.

Resistance 2, Skyward Sword(I usually start playing in December, but I stop once January arrives), Rage, Homefront, The Chronicles of Riddick, Dead Island, Deus Ex, Metroid Prime, Geist, and Mass Effect 3. I have a good reason for stopping ME3: every time a play, people need me to do something every five minutes. It's like clockwork!

Almost every racing game I've played.

Call of Duty 3 on PS3: There was this one mission where you had to use the Sixaxis remote to row a boat and GOD IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE! I couldn't get to the other side of the river so we lost World War II. The end.... lol

Rayman on PS1: This game... THIS GAME!!!!!!...... It's my bane... To anyone who beat this PSX nightmare.... You are a gaming god.....

Mass Effect 2:  I don't know... I just lost interest really fast.

That's all I can think of right now..... meh

IS IT A DUCK!!?? A PLANE!!!?? A TREE???!!! NO! IT'S DUCK TREE PLANE MAN!!! DEFENDING TURTLES EVERYWHERE!!!!

So many games :|

Time to make a list I guess

Pokémon Rumble Blast/ White/ Black 2 - Since I'm always on the computer and never really use my DS these have just been waiting to be completed. I almost beat Pokémon White, but never got around to fully beating the Elite Four for the real completion (after beating N and Ghetsis).

Halo Anniversary/ Halo 4 - Never got caught into the story lines and missions so I just stopped :| Though I wish I had at least finished Halo 4 to see where it leaves off.

Battlefield 3 - Didn't even start the story campaign. If it's one thing I don't/didn't like about the Battlefield games it was their storylines, they weren't all that great when compared to their multi-player.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 - Same reason as above, except the fact I only bought that game to fool around with some friends, barely had any interest in the game itself other than that reason.

Dead Space 3 - Got so confused on the story due to the Co-Op of how far I was with one person, then seeing how far I actually was solo. Got bored of having to do the same missions in hopes that the person I was with would continue on to parts of the game I had yet to play. Good game though.

Grand Theft Auto IV / Ballad of Gay Tony - As much as I wanted to complete these games, I was ALWAYS more interested in their sandbox multi-player :3 (as everyone is). Nothing gets better than that, couple friends just screwing around in Liberty City. Did get through about 1/2 the game in the original GTA IV.

Probably more, but this is all I can get from the top of my head.

I'm usually one to finish games once I start them, so most games that I've tried out I've either finished already or am currently playing it. One game I never managed to finish though was Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. I started it at my cousin's house way back when, and we had to leave before I could finish it :( it was a lot of fun from what I remember. I'd like to finish it (probably start from the beginning though since so much time has passed since I last played it), but I don't have a GameCube so yeah. Plus, I don't know where to get the game for an affordable price. Amazon has it, but it's like 90 bucks.

Ugh, I has too many. It's a bad habit of mine, starting games and then starting other games without coming back to the first one. I rarely quit games because they're too hard, I just start playing others. Let's see:

FF7

FF3
Persona 3
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor (and Devil Survivor 2)
Luminous Arc (and 2)
Odin Sphere
Soul Nomad and the World Eaters
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Advance Wars 2 (and Days of Ruin)
Silent Hill 2
Any Elder Scrolls or Fallout game (I just keep getting lost in side quests, and then eventually make a new character before finishing the last one)

Probably more I'm forgetting. I do this far too often :(

All the Half-Life games

I don't see why people get so excited about these games, they're astoundingly boring.

Mind if I ask why?

Disgaea 4 - As much as I love Disgaea 4 (and all the other Disgaeas) I played it off and on for a while now and haven't gotten around to completing all the post game stuff yet. Honestly, I was stuck on the Zetta part for an entire year and just beat him 2 days ago.  -_-

Persona 4 Arena - I never bothered to finish the story of the game even though it's canon. I just played the multiplayer all the time.

Phantom Brave: We Meet Again - I left my Wii when I went on to college so...

And that's all I can think of for the moment. Pretty short list

Final Fantasy I - Its not that I've given up on playing this, I am actually very close to finishing it but some weird problem when I get to the Temple of Chaos thingy in the past. The ladder leading to the next floor is always blocked. I'm not sure if this is because I forgot to do something or if it is a glitch. I would be very grateful for any help and suggestions.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword- I got stuck at the earth temple and haven't played it in months.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance- Spellican is too powerful, though I recently went back to attempt to beat him with no luck.

Final Fantasy IX- I eventually stopped playing, though I'm currently playing through it again.

Pokemon White 2- I have no idea why, I should go complete it soon.

Those are the games worth mentioning.

Mind if I ask why?

They just seem like any ordinary action/adventure game to me, except for the fact that you can use physics. The storyline is alright, I guess, but the gameplay isn't very brilliant.

I've been meaning to get back to Kingdom Hearts 3D, as I had a great time playing, but for some reason I couldn't progress after a certain part and said "screw it" and I haven't played in months.

Y'know, I've been on this site for almost ten years and I've never had a proper signature. Ain't that something?

I love this thread already :)

I'll try to list some:

Dark Souls (work in progress might still finish it)

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (couldn't hold my attention)

Metroid Prime 1 & 2 (some day when I am worthy)

Shadow of the Colossus (my brother has the PS3 and he is at college)

Rage (stupid FPS)

Prince of Persia 360 (dumb)

Halo Combat Evolved (almost finished but the damn final level glitched on me)

Witcher 2 (hate that game)

I never beat Final Fantasy XIII. I got stuck and eventually I just sold it.

I also never got around to beat Pokemon: Black 2 until about a week ago. I started playing it and now I've almost beat it.

I never beat Bioshock, I simply forgot about.

I also never beat the Walking Dead Game, as I also forgot about it.

I've never finished any game I've owned besides Bioshock Infinite. Kinda funny, all my friends and family think I'm a huge gamer, when really I'm not that devoted compared to most people.

Like a few others in this thread, it would be far less time consuming to list the games that I actually have finished, instead of the other way around. But, for a few worthy mentions;

Legend of Zelda OoT: I've never gotten past that FUCKING WATER TEMPLE in the countless playthroughs I've done with it. However, I'm just about to start it on my first playthrough on my 3DS version (my first attempt in four or five years) so... we'll see how that goes.

Mirrors Edge: Amazing game in almost every regard; but I have enormous difficulty with the control scheme no matter how much I play, and I often get stuck. And by "often", I mean it'll take me 50 or 60 playthroughs of the same area before I figure it out. I'm pretty sure I haven't even gotten past two or three little "chapters" or whatever.

Batman: Arkham Asylum: Again, fantastic game. I think I played this game for like three days straight when I got it, and got burnt out. Haven't picked it up since for some reason.

Trust me, there's tons more.

Jet Set Radio Future

This is a bit of a burden for me. I've had the game since launch and, despite all of the hours I spent playing through the game, I never managed to beat the final boss. I don't know if it was because reaching him was tough or if I just sucked at the game in general, but I'll never know since the disc ended up breaking a few years ago :(

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Yet another game I've spent a great amount of time on, I was never able to even get to the final boss. This can be explained though - my first playthrough was glitched. One of the main characters I needed present for the main quest disappeared for good. I made a second file a year later and he appeared, but I honestly couldn't be arsed doing it.

Ratchet & Clank

Another burdening game, I never actually beat the final boss in this either. I got to the last level, but I stopped playing the game after that point for some odd reason. Shame, as I really did enjoy that game.

Oh boy do I have a list. My Ps3 broke and I was in full gamer mode. I had over 10 games to play that I don't think I'll be able to play again

Bioshock Infinite, AC3, there were too many to list. Sad times.

Almost got my ps4 paid off though so I'll be ready for that when it comes

Diggles: The Myth Of Fenris - Tried to finish it 3 or even 4 times and failed, I like it but, too damn long and eventless. Still, I like it's mecanic and once in 2-3 years instailing it to try one more time :)

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Purposefully not finishing the main quest; IMMORTAL FOLLOWERS FTW

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3: FES

Love the game, don't actually want to finish it, though. It's such a great experience that I don't want it to end.

Fatal Frame

Lent it to a friend three years ago. Never got it back. :(  Oh well.

Shadow of the Colossus

AMAZING GAME. Love the graphics, the gameplay, the serenity of it all. Just... ugh. Dammit Celosia.

American McGee's Alice/Alice: Madness Returns

Two great games. Haven't picked them up in a while. Dunno why.  :derp:

Pokemon White (Or any Pokemon game)

My friend borrowed my copy of Pokemon White for the rest of the year. He finished it for me, actually.

To be honest, the only Pokemon game I've finished was Diamond/Pearl, since, well, I kinda had Action Replay.
