Growing up as a Nintendo kid, Gamecube was the second system I ever owned after the N64. It is one my favorite systems ever, but I often feel that it doesn't get enough love, so I am here to ask you fellow bronies, what are your favorite games on the Gamecube?

My List is decently big:

Super Mario Sunshine (Best platformer ever!)

Paper Mario Thousand Year Door

Mario Kart Double Dash

Super Mario Strikers

Luigis Mansion

Zelda Wind Waker

Zelda Twilight Princess

Metroid Prime Trilogy

Resident Evil 4

Viewtiful Joe

Kirby Air Ride

F-Zero GX

Pokemon XD

Fire Emblem Path of Radiance

Pikmin 1&2

As you can see, I love Gamecube games :P

EDIT: HOW DID I FORGET MELEE? I swear I had it down. I must've assumed that was a given, lol. Anyways, add melee onto there

LoZ: The Wind Waker, and Super Smash Brothers: Melee. Without a doubt the single two games I played every goddamn day when I still owned my Gamecube. If you're wondering what happened to the little guy, let's just say my step brother thinks he knows what he's doing when he really doesn't. Ended up breaking it. Damn you.

007: Nightfire

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

Pokemon colloseum

Yeah, the GCN has always been underappreciated. Some of my top favorite games are on the GCN, it was Nintendo's best console IMO. Not every series was at its finest on the GCN, but the majority of the ones I liked were, and my disappointment with any of the games I didn't put at the top of the list (like WW) were not really anything I can point to.

Animal Crossing

Super Smash Bros. Melee

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Super Mario Sunshine

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

Those are probably my most favorite GCN games, but I enjoyed several others thoroughly, as well.

Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life (I never actually got this game, I only rented it. =( )

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Luigi's Mansion

I'm sure there's some I'm forgetting...

My favorite GameCube game by far is Super Smash Bros. Melee. It's insane how much replay value it has ^_^ I'd buy a GameCube just for this game alone.

I also liked playing Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door a lot. I played it at my cousin's house a long time ago, and it was really enjoyable. Never got to finish it though :(

Oh the GameCube... So many memories with that little black cube. I had so many games but I'll try to pick a few out:

Luigi's Mansion: it was short, but oh so sweet. I prefer it to dark moon.

Super Smash Bros Melee: did anyone not have this one?

LoZ Wind Waker: I found this buried in my basement! Very excite!

There were many I loved to play, but these are my faves.

Super Mario Sunshine

Pikmin

The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

Pokemon Colosseum

I own collector's edition of Zelda, Twilight Princess on the gamecube, and WInd Waker. I also own Thousand-Year Door, S.S.B. Melee, Sunshine at one point, the Soul Calibur with Link in it, played XD Gales of Darkness, and I proudly own Luigi's Mansion. Also at one point we owned some Harvest Moon games. Pretty typical.

So many memories with these games :)

  • Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (Favorite GameCube game, beautiful)
  • Super Mario Sunshine (hardest 3D Mario game, love it)
  • Super Smash Bros. Melee (Favorite fighting game)
  • Spider-Man 2 (Best Movie game)
  • Mario Kart: Double Dash (Best Mario Kart)
  • Animal Crossing (awesome animal villagers)
  • Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom (This game went quite well with my Sponegbob obsession back then and is a pretty decent platformer)
  • Pikmin (Immersive, intense, challanging, unique)
  • Pikmin 2 (even better then the first)
  • Game Boy Player (GBA/GBC/GB on the big screen- nuff said)

The Nintendo GameCube was amazing, still have my indigo console working perfectly today, even after 12 years.

Super Mario Sunshine, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and Mario Kart: Double Dash are among the best games I've ever played on the Nintendo Gamecube. Those games were essentially Nintendo's peak. Super Mario Galaxy was of course very epic, but I still feel the Nintendo Gamecube is a very underrated system and that they dished out some of the best games in the 2000s.

There is only one game to rule them all. Mario Kart Double Dash is the single best game for Gamecube ever. I loved that game so freaking much back in the day. I never owned a Gamecube myself, however, so I just had to play it at friends' houses.

Oh man, I loved the gamecube so much. The Legend of Zelda Windwaker was the first legend of zelda game I managed to get through the first level and I wanted explore every region of the game. It felt like there was so much to the game, so much to see and do. I never did 100% it, but I did still beat it.

But enough talk... Have at you!

CELTORE'S TOP GAMECUBE GAMES

10) Spongebob Squarepants Battle for Bikini Bottom (surprisingly fun)

9) Pokemon Colosseum

8) Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness

7) Luigi's Mansion

6) Kirby's Air Ride (City Trial mode)

5) Super Mario Sunshine! (woo hoo!)

4) Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door

3) Super Smash Brothers Melee

2) Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

1) Custom Robo

A bit funny that a third party title was my favourite, but custom robo was such a fun game! I loved the RPG segments, the funny dialogue, the customization and the battling itself. Although the game was extremely linear, I really loved it and continue to play it with friends from time to time.

Ah, the Gamecube. I had so many memories with it. It was one of my first consoles, besides the N64. My favorite games are:

#5: Mario Kart: Double Dash!! A game that never seems to get old.

#4: Pikmin 2. I enjoyed the Pikmin series, even though there was only two of them. (Well, three now since Pikmin 3 is coming.) Pikmin 2 had me busy for a very long time.

#3: Kirby Air Ride: City Trail was addicting. Enough said.

#2: Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. This is certainly the best one in the series, and I never got tired of playing it. Sticker Star was good, though.

#1: Sonic Heroes. My favorite game on the GC. It felt the most repayable to me.
