Foods you dislike that everyone likes?

I don't often enjoy eating in general. I only eat because my body needs it to keep going. It's rare I'd enjoy it.  Don't get me wrong here, I don't have a eating disorder or anything like that. Chewing is just tiring.

Steak. It's not bad but it takes way too much effort to chew. It's not gum. Speaking of gum, I don't like that either although it's not really a food. I always get paranoid that I'm gonna swallow it.

Judging by the fact that everyone LOVES to shove onions into every online recipe even though just having one on my tongue makes me want to vomit...yeah, it's onions. :okiedokieloki:

I don't like any sort of dessert with nuts in them. Whether its candy or brownies.

Same for cranberries. Some people make cookies with cranberries in them around this time of year. No thank you.

Coffee - "Nasty stinking bitter puddle water" is a quote I heard on youtube. I fully agree. :glimmer:

Alcohol - leave produce to rot and then drink it. :glimmer:

Mayonnaise - I don't know if it's the taste or the texture or what, I just hate it!

Lettuce - I don't know how many people actually like it but it's on everything for some reason.

Pumpkin pie is genuinely disgusting.. every Thanksgiving I decide to try it again yet every time it STILL sucks. I also can't stand a lot of traditional fruit pies but with those its a texture thing

I can't stand cheese. Don't know why, but I just hate the taste of it. If there's a little bit of it on a pizza or something, I'm okay with it, but I always avoid it when possible.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

I HATEEEEE hamburger helper, the noodles are just awfully textured, it makes me gag every time my mom serves it to me, I also hate:

Mac 'n' cheese

Oysters

Scalloped corn (there's macaroni in it)

Scalloped potatoes (NOT Au gratin potatoes, those are yummy) (I like my taters with REAL cheese thanks)

Grapefruit (but NOPONY likes frapegruit)

PEARS (icky textures)

Oatmeal raisin cookies (I like raisins, HATE oatmeal)

There's not a lot I don't like though

Cottage cheese. In the south, cottage cheese is a common and well-liked dish. I hate it. It tastes and feels like chunky spoiled milk to me. :yuck:

On the flip side, a food I do like that is not commonly liked: Raw tomatos. The big ones. I eat those like an apple. :ooh:

Oysters

Oh that's a good one! I also hate oysters but at times it seems like every single person on the planet loves them as some sort of amazing delicacy, they are boogers in a half shell! :ButtercupLaugh:

YES! finally someone else! There is a thread with the opposite title as this one and that's one of the things I mentioned, love a whole tomato, heck I'm gonna grab one out of the fridge right now.

I suppose its not really "food" but I'll add that I don't like mint at all in any from, garnish, gum, ice cream, toothpaste, anything, not a fan at all. :jazz-hooves-please: yet so so many love it.

jkjk. That is interesting though. I am curious, is it something specific about mint you dont like, or is it just the entire experience of "mint"? :o

Lmao! :PIPPIPHURRAY: well it's kinda hard to explain, the whole coolness that mint gives your breath and all that I don't mind but the smell and taste really throw me off, I find it to be far too strong and it's like spicy and bitter in the weirdest way? :jazz-hooves-please: while also being uniquely mint. The experience is fine but I just cant stand the taste and don't particularly like the smell. my work around is strawberry toothpaste and non flavoured floss.

Very interesting. I think I know at least a bit what you mean, because I've had mint leaves before. They're kinda eh because of 'plant' flavor, and can be icky. But also, like, mint oreos I had once. Way too much. Way too strong. Did not like that, nor did stomach.

You're probably right on it being spicy. I bet its similar to the chemical spicy plants produce, which is a defense mechanism against predators

Chestnuts and Sweet Potatos...

I mean... I do like Chestnut cream, or fried Sweet Potatos, or sweet potato noodles.

But roasted Chestnuts and Sweet potatoes? Yikes...

Here in Barcelona, instead of Halloween we have this "Chestnut day" in wich everybody eats roasted chestnuts and Sweet Potatoes. I just find them just boring and not good tasting.

Nowadays, the tradition is being mixed with Halloween. Called "Castaween". It's strange for me that children ask for roasted chestnuts or they gona throw eggs at your house...
