Not really, no. I mean, I talked/talk to myself almost all the time, but I never really had an imaginary friend or anything. I did however used to pretend that I was part of some sort of military unit, actually talking to my 'squad mates' and interacting with them sometimes, so I suppose that's sort of similar. xD

I have an imaginary friend. When I was younger I used to pretend he was playing with me and stuff like that, but now that I'm older he has moved into my brain. Me and him have conversations all the time. It normally sounds like I'm talking to myself haha.

Yeah, I had a few back when I was kid. I liked using my imagination to create things, so I thought making up different people and creatures was fun.

Nowadays, I just create fictional characters instead. :P There is one that I sometimes imagine myself talking to, mostly to get to know her character better. She is a ghost, so it's easy to picture her as someone only I can see. I guess that would count as an imaginary friend? I promised her I'd write her story. =P

Nope. As imaginative as I may have been, I never had an imaginary friend. Sure, I made up characters and yeah, many of them were recurring, but I wasn't as... attached, I guess? Yes, my imaginary creations were only around when playing make-believe.

Yup, I named her Jello.

She was a alien from the planet Mars, her skin was Purple and would change everyday for some reason.. one day she keeps it purple then the next thing I know its red... or even yellow.. to this day I still don't know why she did that.. wish I had asked her..

When I was really little, I had an imaginary friend, but it was so long ago, I don't remember what his name was! It was probably John or something lame like that.

Now my imaginary friend is.... (drumroll please) Myself! I just self-insert myself (in my mind) into random situations, and always am a Gary Stu in my imaginations.

Yes I did, in fact, it's sort of how I came up with "Light Streak" as an OC name.

As a kid, I had an imaginary friend that was a super hero and kept me safe. I named him "Streak of Light", which I later changed to "Light Streak."

I sure did! her name was Rosie, she was a human, I had her for a while. I think it was because I wasnt allowed to watch the show Caillou so I made up an imaginary friend about it. I dunno man, I was a weird little kid

ITT not sure if joking around or actually schizophrenic

This is kind of a sad and pathetic story, but here goes.

I used to have an imaginary friend when I was 8 years old because I grew up with just my mom and my older brother. Anyway around this time I only had my imaginary friend to talk to and my fucking older brother would mercilessly pick on me and hit me because of it. He was pretty stupid but so much bigger than me that I couldn't do much to fight back.

So one day things are especially heated between my brother and I. We had this big fight where he chased me around the apartment and broke a bunch of stuff but ended up accidentally knocking himself unconscious. Like, out cold. Looking back it was probably the most hilarious part of my childhood. So my mom comes home shortly afterward and finds all this mess and my brother on the ground. Fortunately he didn't have a concussion but the turd tells my mom that the whole thing was my fault.

Later that night my mom comes into my room and tells me that she knew it wasn't really my fault but that she knows the reason he picks on me so much is because I still had an imaginary friend and that maybe it's time to get rid of him. I tried to argue with her but she said he had to go. I'm really sad and pissed off about all this but later that night while I'm watching TV I get this really good idea.

So after school the next day I end up dropping Bloo off at Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends where he was allowed to stay as long as I kept visiting daily. This went on for several years until I realized (after starting heaviy medication) that Foster's was just an abandoned old house and there was no such thing as imaginary friends.  smile.png

I had many imaginary friends in the sense that I would love to play around with them at home. I would never show my imaginary friends whenever I went out in public though, since I knew the repercussions of acting like there was one in public...

Also, I never really had an imaginary friend in the sense that people dramatize in movies. I just imagined doing things with them on my head without actually playing them out.

I did. Several, actually. He was more of an imaginary brother. His name was Jack, and he was the best brother ever. And before you ask, no, I'm not an only child. My brothers were just assholes, so I created the ideal brother. Kinda sad, now that I think about it...

I also have somewhat of a TULPA, if that counts.

I tended to be rather lonely when I was little so my imaginary friends were literally the only company I had.

I had two, both of them were girls XD . Their main purpose was, of course, to keep me company and entertain me, but also to prevent me from doing some things I know I would feel sorry about if did.

I actually catch myself talking to someone and responding to myself too, but it's just not like that anymore... even though, I talk to myself literally everyday, sometimes for hours XD

I never had an imaginary friend that I actually thought was real, but I did create characters in my head that I called "imaginary friends". They were pretty dumb...one was a red ball with spikes coming out of him, I think his name was Spike. Another was a dragonfly that had a French fry for a body. I called him "French Fry". :P

I dunno about imaginary friends, but when I was little, I used to talk to my stuffed animals and give them personalities.

Hell, I kinda still do to a degree, only when I'm in need of something to hug when I'm super depressed and/or lonely...sucks being single.
