Why was Queen Chrysalis such a jerk to everyone?

Assuming Changelings aren't asexual lol. Chrysalis was just a sadist, as seen in the comics when she murders a kitten for being annoying

Good point, though I think they'd look more like bugs on a wind-shield. Imagine what happened to the Changelings inside buildings There will be demand for janitors in Canterlot..

Yea... you know that this would at least make the ponies jerks a little bit. Let me explain why....while they were indeed defending themselves... why did they continue the wedding with ALL that mess? Let alone their own psycologically shaken people? Oh the town is full of bodies n shit? Let's have a party! See what i mean? 

 

I have a headcanon that explains this. In short i believe that the changelings suffer from a disease that eats their bodies away when they are starving creating the holes and when they die completely eats them leaving nothing but dust left... Would explain the clean city.

Since Changelings feed on love, it did not make sense that she would do her best to make everyone despise her. The writers couldn't have been less subtle if they had written "SHE'S AN EVIL CHANGELING" onto an anvil and beaten the viewers to death with it. On the plus side, her obvious evilness gave us one of the best songs in the show, so there's that.

As for the stained glass, it records important history, the invasion of the capital is important. Chrysalis is splattered across the ground like a bug on a wind-sheild, she's in no position to threaten

The Changelings have good reforming opportunities now that the psychopath Chrysalis is dead. Chrysalis is Hitler and the Changelings are Germany basically

Queen Chrysalis is NOT Hitler and the changelings are NOT Germany... for one we have no knowledge of how she behaved to her own people, second Queen Chrysalis didn't mass murder everypony just for her opinion. No... just no... don't make such analogies... EVER. Cause if we're doing things like that i could very well call Luna a traitor for not being in the wedding. Maybe i could even call her disguise as Chyrsalis ((see Antony C-Bronycurious video review hilarious)) or even co-operating with her. No... just don't. Chrysalis is not Hitler. She didn't murder it cause it was annoying. She murdered it to scare the CMC. And I don't think she did murder it cause the CMC didn't seem to freaked out or traumatized by the incident. They were more bored by their imprisonment. Either that or the CMC aren't all that troubled by the sight of gore or mutilation, which might be even more disturbing.

At the end of the episode, she just stands there and lets Twilight free Cadence (the other changelings are probably idiots too as they didn't do anything to stop her), while proclaim her whole attack plan was based on a "silly sentiment"

I like Chrysalis, but she was a jerk to everypony because, well, that's exactly who she is. And she was trying to take over Canterlot. You don't accomplish something like that with a bake sale. Although it would've been funny to see her try. And she wasn't going to get there on her looks or personality either. Just saying. 

 

If you mean, "why was she such as a jerk as Cadence when acting nice would have made the plan go smoother and probably not aroused Twilight's suspicions?", that has validity. But once again, Chrysalis is a jerk. As a Changeling, she's a mess of negative emotions and it's difficult to hide that. The only positive emotions she has are what she sucked out of somepony else.

It's a pretty dark thought, but I think the reason why Chrysalis sent Twilight to the caves and taunt her was because she wanted Twilight to rage and then she's use that rage on the real Cadence unbeknownst to her.

 

I got that after watching the Canterlot Wedding Bad End comic dub video where such happens. Chrysalis didn't count on thier closeness would be her downfall.
