it sure is! I just don't know anyone on this forum who is a G3 fan....

While this place is primarily a forum for G4, i'd say fans of the older generations are welcome too, as long as they are aware that there are quite a few folks on here that aren't fond of the older generations.

 

And what flare said, I haven't seen any G3 only fans on here yet, unless they just joined.

I like G1, for an 80s cartoon it wasn't bad, was surprisingly very dark.

 

G2 had no cartoon, Tales was G1, toys looked alright.

 

G3 liked the animation, but the writing? Blech. The toys looked good though.

 

G3.5...*shivers*....

I found this special boring... sure it had it's moments, but the squeky voices, the uninteresting villian, and the seaponies was too much

 

Eeyup, that's quite typical of such cartoons. Which is why FiM was such a surprise.

I like the old generations! I haven't watched everything, but to be honest, the reason I didn't get into FIM as soon as I did was because they had completely changed Rarity, who was my favorite character in G3 (before the core 7 stuff) I liked Minty and Pinkie Pie too back then, although I hated Rainbow Dash! I was a bit of tomboy back then, and hated the "fashion loving know-it-all about rainbows," kind of people!

I am prone to leaving both short and long posts as well as with my profile feed...
