Koelath 445 November 8, 2013 Share November 8, 2013 While I normally take showers at school, I do prefer baths. It's much easier for me to relax and unwind after a hard day in the tub with some aromatherapy going on as well. Soaking in your own dirt and germs, mmmm, so relaxing... I get city water and go for showers. When I do indulge in the occasional hot bath, I honestly just lie there and chill. It's not as relaxing as it should be though because the water drain's derped (it constantly drains over time) and the tub's not long enough. Afterward, I scrub down with a quick shower on account of having just soaked in my own filth.
Oblivion 20,270 November 8, 2013 Share November 8, 2013 Well I live in Nebraska out in the middle of nowhere, so we have a well house with a pump that pumps the water uo to our house, so even though we have well water we still have running water. I also like taking showers just because it's easier.
Celtore 2,770 November 8, 2013 Share November 8, 2013 Bath? What is this bath thou speakest of? I havent had one of those since I was 6. It's not because of the whole germ thing, it's just because I don't like wasting that much water nor do I have the patience to bother. I prefer showers and I find them very invigorating. For me, there are two settings in terms of the temperature: burning hot and "holy crap" cold. I have a hot shower when I want to relax or think, it simply feels amazing. A cold shower is good for when I want mental awareness or deliver a good jolt to my system to wake me up. And yes, it's city water.
FoxyCryptid 4,330 November 8, 2013 Share November 8, 2013 Unless I feel like soaking for reason I take a shower, but it can be a pain because my bathroom is kinda small so the hot water raises the room tempt and I start to overheat and nearly pass out in there. Mutemutt 773 November 9, 2013 Share November 9, 2013 (edited) Showers. long, hot showers. I like to sit down in the shower and let the water wash over me, but sometimes I like to plug up the drain to get a shower/ bath mix. Oh, and it's city water. Sunlight 357 November 9, 2013 Share November 9, 2013 In my house, we use city water. For the shower or bath thing, I'd probably go with shower, because my house doesn't even have a bath anyway. ._. When I see your face, it's like sunlight dripping...
Foxx 258 November 9, 2013 Share November 9, 2013 I use city water. Now that I think about, I haven't been in the bath since I was like, 6. I just never get the time to soak in a tub of my own filth, I guess. Guest November 9, 2013 Share November 9, 2013 My secret shower life is pretty urban. Cheapest water supply in Canada here because of the Grand River, and I'm living in an urban neighbor hood so yeah... showers. I haven't taken a bath in years! I don't know... there's nothing particularly interesting about baths as opposed to showers. I think a bath takes more water, and sometimes I used to be very silly and while moving around to get my hands on some sweet sweet soap I end up knocking water out onto the floor (When the bathroom is on the second floor of the house, that tends to be a bad thing).Yeah. Showers.
lomk 20,663 November 10, 2013 Share November 10, 2013 I can't do a bath. It makes me feel less manly and like all the hair I've spent years growing on my chest is for naught. Really, though, I don't spend more than a few minutes in the shower and I'm usually in a rush anyway. Showers are great because I'm constantly being rinsed off with a stream of fresh water and it's nice to lean my head back and let the thing massage my head. Cold showers are especially awesome during the summer after I've mowed the grass when it's anywhere from 100 to 110 degrees outside. I might even grab a beer and float in my parents' pool for a while on those days as well I refuse to let go until you're impressed. I refuse to let go until I'm depressed. Here No Longer 5,276 November 28, 2019 Share November 28, 2019 (edited) At well, "home" it's very milky well water. Seriously, it's like I'm the only one who can drink it without getting a stomachache afterwards. I used to be afraid of showering, but since I've gotten over it, I've been of the opinion that showers are far superior mostly because they're just cleaner than baths are. Prospekt 11,020 November 28, 2019 Share November 28, 2019 We get city water in my apartment. As for showers/baths? I almost never take baths, because I'm more apt to actually wash up in a timely manner when I shower instead of just sitting there in the water. I did take a nice long, hot bubble bath for the first time in a years last weekend and it was amazing. Perhaps I should do that more often. 1 Signature by Kyoshi
Splashee 28,566 November 28, 2019 Share November 28, 2019 I can connect to "city water" if I want to pay the extra. But so far, our own well works fine and the water taste good. Meaning, I choose to shower or bathe whenever I please.
Dreambiscuit 10,094 November 29, 2019 Share November 29, 2019 I'm on city water at the present. I used to have well water when I lived in a rural area though. Well water may be more pure for drinking purposes, but I still like the nasty tasting chemical after taste of city water. And I generally prefer showers for practical everyday bathing, but a nice long luxurious bath is nice for those special days when I can just soak in the tub and forget the whole world.
EpicEnergy 23,224 November 29, 2019 Share November 29, 2019 I don't use well water, and I think my water comes from the city, although I'm not sure of that - all I know is that my water is clean and it comes from pipes that lead somewhere. Also, I prefer to take showers, not baths, as they are faster and more relaxing for me. *totally not up to any shenanigans*
Phosphor 11,532 November 30, 2019 Share November 30, 2019 I have county water at my house and other property. There is a well on my other property, but the pump is in bad shape and needs to be replaced. Hmmm, sounds like a good weekend project. I prefer showering as I love the clean feeling. Every once in a while, I like to soak in a hot bath especially if I'm really sore from working outside or something.

Splashee 28,566 January 24, 2022 Share January 24, 2022 City water, and I do shower mostly. Maybe take a bath every year or so, just to really get clean (obviously showering directly after).
ExplosionMare 18,085 January 25, 2022 Share January 25, 2022 Pretty sure I get city water and I prefer showers since I’m too impatient nowadays to wait for the tub to fill up. Boom!
Magic Note 2,749 January 25, 2022 Share January 25, 2022 (edited) I'm pretty sure the water I use is city water. I prefer showers because baths take too long to fill up and they also use up too much water.
