heavy bass drop = Wub, something you don't get without the Sub Woofer.. sooo... yeah, it just sounds better than "subs" and connects the woofer to it in a way.

Well.. you might hear it, but without the Sub Woofer, your not getting the "effect" of it... really ruins things.

I have to agree with you somewhat.  Their charm comes from seeing them in the background and trying to explain why they're there.  There is a part of me that wants to see a character made out of them, but I also know that it wouldn't meet everyone's expectations.

 

Plus, as canon as it would be, it would be odd to hear the non-fanon voices coming out of them  .  A lot like Derpy, many of us have accepted a fanon voice for these characters, and the likelihood that DHX would actually get them as voice actors is exceptionally slim.
