But I must concur - I think Spike deserves the vote based on merit alone He's done a lot in the series, and has whole episodes centered around his development. The show wouldn't be the same without Spike, and that's something you can't say for his opponent.

 

Plus, the poor guy is so unlucky

These tourneys have that effect I remember, during the Twilight Sparkle vs. Rarity matchup in the March Madness Tourney, I actually got my phone taken up by my school because I was checking the scores in class while I was supposed to be doing work. It felt like going cold turkey until I got it back at the end of the day, and I was like, asking for my friend's phones so I could check the scores :V 

 

And, oh god, that mini-heart attack every time Rarity lost the lead

 

Can't (Can?) wait for m6vsm6 to roll around God, it's going to get insane.

 

Also, it's nice to see Spike getting some love around here. While he's at the back end of my top 20 characters in the series, I'll gladly support him in this match He doesn't get enough respect, in my opinion.

Yep, Spike gets kicked around a lot, including on the local FB group I'm part of. Spike has his fair share of praise worthy moments.

For a while, it seemed like the dream was real for Cadence, but Rainbow Dash seems to be taking a pretty firm lead. She's got her work cut out for her if she wants to catch up.

I was going to vote for Daring, if only because she is Dashie's idol (which makes Daring Do about 20% cooler ), but everyone gave me the feels by reminding me that Spike is often thrown under the bus (taken for granted in-show, and more or less spit on IRL), so I couldn't bring myself to continue the trend.

I considered voting Daring Do, but...  I felt like Spike earned this one.  Some people really seem to dislike him, but I never have.  And my mom likes him, so there's that lol.  A vote for Spike is a vote for baby dragon-loving mothers everywhere!!
