This...this is too good to be true. The two Best Ponies are facing each other in the finals. One of the Best Ponies is definitely going to win now. I voted for Pinkie Pie for 3rd place, but during the Final showdown, I will not vote. I can't vote. I can't possibly pick one Best Pony over the other. Tomorrow, I will probably support both characters and show my utmost enthusiasm, but I will not vote. It will be interesting to see who is more popular: Twily or Flutters :squee:

 

Either way, Best Pony is going to win.

 

To Pinkie Pie! Original Best Pony, AND the pony who introduced me to MLP! I think Pinkie Pie is 2nd Best Pony behind both Twilight and Fluttershy, or would that make her 3rd best? How does that work?

I wouldn't speak so soon: Pinkie was leading Twilight the other day by more than this and Twilight made a comeback and finished strong! Nopony knows what will happen over the next ~17 hours!

I would encourage everyone to vote for Rarity, the most complex and interesting of the Mane Six. Search your feelings, you know it to be true. We, her fans, don't love her just because she is cute, like Pinkie Pie, but because she is so much more.

 

She's intelligent, talented, successful, recognized, just like Twilight. She's hard-working and determined, just like Applejack. She's generous with her time and her emotion, and does a lot for other ponies as well as her friends, just like Fluttershy. She smacks the bad guys like Manticores and changelings in the face, just like Rainbow Dash. She's usually the first to step forward in any situation, whether to comfort or to confront. She's got some of the good qualities of all the Mane Six and she deserves your vote.

 

 

Apart from that, consider what happens if she does win. She goes onto that podium in third place. Now imagine Twilight wins the final. We will have:

 

        2             1            3

Fluttershy  Twilight    Rarity

Pegasus --> Alicorn  <-- Unicorn

 

So she will be the combination of the two on either side of her, exhibiting symmetry.

 

But maybe Fluttershy will win. Then we will have:

        2             1            3

 Twilight    Fluttershy   Rarity

  Alicorn = Pegasus   + Unicorn

 

See? The very universe dictates that Rarity should be in third place. :D
