Typical amount of homework you get?

About how many hours of homework do you get? (That is if your still in school)

 

For me here's the breakdown for this semester, I'm a freshman in highschool

 

Art: 15 to 30 min

Health: 15 to 30 min

English 9: 1 hour

Physical Science: 1 hour

French : 15 min

 

Total About: 3 hours 30 minutes

Thankfully i don't have to worry ever about homework again. Since i just graduated from college last year in April. I got my associates degree in Web Design and Development. But yeah the homework wasn't too bad. But sometime frustrating with some of the web assignments i had to do was stupid. I mean some of it was good but most of it was just crappy and hated the way the teachers wrote out the web assignments.

I can't really calculate how much time the homework is but I can say that I get homework pretty much every night in geometry, English can vary if we're reading something or doing an essay,along with chemistry. Spanish is also pretty much every night and not really any in the others since the others are gym, lunch, and electives.

Lunch: 11:30AM-12:00PM

History: 12:00-1:00PM

Pre-Algebra: 1:00-2:00PM

Study Hall: 3:00-4:00PM.

 

8 hours in total

 

But the homework is LARGE... large.

Weight Training: 30min-1 hour

Piano: 45min-1 hour

Psychology: 1hr-1 hr and a half

well, around "too much" homeworks. I don't get homeworks everyday, but when Math and Science cross... (which happens often)

It takes around 6 hours to not even complete. Then comes the morning, I have around 1 hour there, and if I'm lucky I have the diner time, another hour.

 

Maybe they think I'm a machine, or something. o_O I work very slowly actually lol.

Honors Physics: 1hr to 1.5hrs

 

German: usually 30 - 49 minutes

 

P.E : Is that even possible

 

English: Usually don't have any homework

 

Astronomy : None, I get everything done in class

 

AP US History: 3-5 hours a week of reading and summarizing 1 chapter from the book

 

Algebra 2: none, I basically tested out of that class so I don't have to do the homework anymore

• Computer Repair-No homework usually. Unless I have to make something up because I was sick, that is.

Advanced Gaming-Nothing really. The rare homework we get is some stupid, pointless worksheet about how the game we're making (Such as Pac-Man) relates to real life physics, and newton's laws and such. Lame!

English-The rare homework we get is some pointless thing that the teacher most likely won't even grade or collect.

Gov't-We get a worksheet most days. They're rather easy though. (If you pay attention in class that is.)

Physics-We get worksheets, and such. They're kind of annoying.

Machine Design: 1-2- hours

Aerodynamics: 3-4 hours

Heat Transfer: 3-4 hours

 

these are normal times almost every day

 

Senior Capstone Project: usually around 8-9 hours a week, sometimes more

 

This is actually light compared to some semesters I've had...

During my senior year of high school the classes that gave out a lot of homework were

 

Adv. Math: Assignments everyday and a 3 page test every Friday.

 

Accounting: The stuff was easy but got irritating when things didn't add up.

 

Composition 2: The work was way easier than I anticipated it, but we got loads of it.

 

If memory serves me right those were the three that gave a lot of work my senior year. Then I had classes that were the opposite like:

 

TV Production: I was the only student and everything was insanely easy, like editing videos and keeping the little TVs in the school up-to-date on news.

 

Chorus: 'Nuff said.

 

Yearbook: I designed everything and had the most experience in Photoshop, so I got everything done really quick. Then I would mess around in Adobe Flash lol.

 

Computer Apps. 3: Same as Yearbook, get everything done then I would mess with Flash.

Math: Generally 1 hour or less

English: ~3 hours, depending on the assingment, and ~6+ hours on a difficult assignment ( such as what I'm doing now ).

Java: Can get something done in about 30 minutes, make that 1 hour to 90 minutes for actual labs.

AP Italian: 1.0 Hour

Honors English: 2.0 Hours (Reading almost half a book daily)

AP Macroeconomics: 1.0 Hour

Honors Chemistry: 1.5 Hours

Religious Education- nothing!

- Human A&P lecture: 4-6 hours a week

- Pre-calc homework: 2 hours a week
