And that, my friend is why this is cartoon targeted at young girls. Where I come from, we call this over-analyzing.

The fact that the laws of physics are regularly violated in the world of Equestria is already known for a long time.
I'm more wondering how granny Smith would survive the jump. The bowl of water was so small and the height so big that it certainly wouldn't end up just breaking the spine, If she had landed others would have to scrape her off the ground. Beating records? Rather nomination for a Darwin Award.

The people knocking the over-analyzing here must hate these videos:

Like these videos, I think that the overanalysis in the first post is just an entertaining way at breaking down the absurdity of cartoon physics. You all are taking this way too seriously.

That scene immediately called to mind an old running gag of Tex Avery's (Looney Toons/Merrie Melodies) where a character would do an absurdly high dive into a drinking glass.  They'd neatly fit perfectly inside the glass at the bottom - no shattering, no injuries, just what looks like an uncomfortable and inconvenient position.  I'm pretty sure DHX was channeling that joke in this cartoon - certainly not the first time they've given nods to the old Looney Toons rulebook. :)

I love the old good Looney Tunes.   I know that characters there act like they had the bones of rubber. But somehow such extreme gags doesn't fit to MLP for me. Of course we already had e.g. flattened Twilight by door or Applejack flattened on the ground after jump from the ramp. But jumping to the glass or bowl of water from a great height is just too extreme for this show in my opinion.

I think the title is meant to read "Over analyzing..."  ;)

But yes, your points are valid for a real world scenario like this.

Yes but this isn't the real world it a cartoon, you dont go doing math on stunts done in bugs bunny do you?
