  1. To quote my favourite post on the entire forums right now... Of course, not the only reasons why bronies are frowned upon. I can say that we're not immature, though from the other point of view, hating on us is just as immature.
  2. I can just picture every tone-deaf friend I have singing. Ah, the beauty of it. Well, to make things a bit more bleak(this thread is too gleeful, no pun intended), we would still be singing about our opinions and we'd still be arguing about it in song. On top of that, murderers would sing as they torment their victims. Soldiers would sing as they filled their targets with bullets. Meat farmers would *i** defective animals in song. Sorry about the brutal picture. I don't really enjoy playing the downer. (this is an outright lie) However, I never saw the purpose of only applauding the positive ends without taking the negatives. This is the single most simplistic summary of what I'm saying. It is, indeed, a very interesting concept.
  3. I would probably suddenly hate songs and prefer stale speech over it. In other words, nothing changes. Music and normal speech just take the other's place. It would be a bit dull from where I'm sitting right now.
  4. 1. Burned. Probably a lot more painful, but likely a shorter death. 2. Every embarassing moment is a part of life. I don't regret them. I can't laugh about it for awhile, but I know I will laugh about it someday. 3. Bees. I'll run, take off my shirt, jump in to a pool, use my shirt as a cover to push out of the water's surface to breathe. 4. After I lost my first pet(s, I had 2), I couldn't bear having responsibility over a life if I can't be responsible for my own. 5. The speed makes more sense. I think I could actually jump 5 feet anyways if I had the strength and stamina to run at 20mph at all. XD 6. I believe in my own life more than that of my friends. 7. I have stepped on legos all my childhood. It hasn't hurt that much... 8. I would want to be able to use a Sonic Rainboom if I tried hard enough. It feels like something I have to make an effort for. I think I'll be able to live my life without being able to predict spontaneous occurences.
  5. Shame? It would be a shame if I took no one seriously at all. It is my own trait that I find everypony's opinion worth something until they decide to prove otherwise. I am not too offended by this as it seems to be your trait, in return. 1) I see. 2) Then should I say you fail for not trying? <--- (That was a joke) The expression "fail to -" is another way of saying "don't -" or "can't -". 3) . 4) A flaw is what makes a person. Tolerance shouldn't even be needed for Rainbow Dash. It just happens that you actually need it. I did not mean that anypony else was involved. I meant that your entire ability to judge somepony, not just Rainbow Dash, seems to be based on single traits. I won't say it's wrong, but, it is quite hypocritical. Example If I could judge you on any single trait, that you should not be able to argue with, as I did, then I could say you're the type of person to look down on others and lack the appreciation for those who take the time to give you attention. (simply, I could say you're pitiful, as described above) Why is it hypocritical? Your judgement cannot be creditable if you can't accept people for only a small portion of their flaws. It's like hating on all of the brony community because all of them like something that is somewhat girlish. More accurately, it's as if you hated all showoffs with any arrogance. In which case, perhaps you would like to remove your avatar and signature, as they are a something you choose to show off (this is a minor form of arrogance, correct?), even if it's just one minor flaw amongst the positive things you have to offer. Of course, you don't have to take me seriously. I don't own you or anything.
  6. Not everyone can stand being laughed at, dear. If someone I distinctly disliked made a bad(insulting to my pride) joke on me, it's possible I would shove my thumb down their eye rather than laugh along. I do agree that most don't seem to mean anything harsh by the joke, as there was probably little or no negative intent in them.
  7. Why is there even an option to disagree? Has there ever been anypony that is NOT beautiful in their own right, yet? Sometimes I wish people would be a lot more understanding in their judgement. - Sure she's arrogant, but to say she isn't humble? She willingly stepped down when told to and only stood up when it came to the care of her friends. - You fail to understand that arrogance is the same as pride and very close to honour. Loyalty is a trait that is tied to both. - I can't actually say anything about her annoying you, that's your thing, mate. - You lack the ability to tolerate people who are actually quite dedicated to their friends, even if they're arrogant showoffs. (that's what you're getting at, I believe) If you know all this to be true, there is nothing I can comment on, as anything more will be a matter of just who you are. I do not expect everyone to be tolerant. Nor do I see Rainbow Dash as somepony who needs a lot of tolerance, just empathy.
  8. Well, questionable. I have seen quite often that people can be defensive even without excessive provocation. People tend to protect the things they love, even if it's just a comment that claims dislike for it.
  9. How is it possible to confuse U and A on a keyboard. Anyways, last day of winter, where? I don't get seasons here, and I doubt all seasons work with the same timing everywhere. Well, happy last day of winter and first day of spring to you.
  10. "Everyone is against us it sometimes seems" does not mean "it is an attack on us because they brought up bronies"... Considering the fact a generic 'bully' is used to portray despair at being unable to bully people into regularity because they now stand up for themselves and brings up that we bronies have made a stand for our interests in MLP... DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE'RE BEING SLANDERED FOR STANDING UP FOR OURSELVES AND NOT BEING what most people call 'normal and easier to talk to'. I have to agree, bronies can be difficult to talk to. We can sometimes be too defensive of MLP, even though we already know it's not something that everyone must enjoy. We're fans BECAUSE we can enjoy it. If everyone were meant to enjoy it, there would be no purpose in calling us 'fans' since everypony would have moderately equal views on it. Short version It's not an insult. It's a statement which is actually rather true. Unless you think standing up for MLP and not letting bullies kick you around for liking MLP is an insult. p.s. the last part, "TOLERANCE", seems to be referencing tolerance for the bully rather than the mention of bronies. The 2 panels before the "TOLERANCE" part seem to be leading up to it. (they ARE the panels leading up to it)
  11. Morning in Ponyville. It certainly isn't the most unique song among the others in the finale, but I really do want to hear how it would end if everything really was fine.
  12. All we need now is large poster-dimension'd files to print out to wallpaper our room with. Better yet, we need pony wallpaper-print prints to wallpaper our rooms with pony wallpaper prints. Lovely.
  13. Oh dear Lord. They removed her derpy essence. I am now going to choke a doll imagining it as the representation of Hasbro's moral management team.
  14. I don't think Derpy was nicknamed by Bronies. (I may be mistaken) http://mlp-fim.com/40 At around 1:50-2:00. Rainbow Dash actually calls her Derpy. They changed Derpy? Explaiiiiiiiin. D: Well, can't we just like ponies for being ponies? Adorable.
  15. What a pity. He was probably the single most powerful character to have appeared in the show. (given, not in his best shape) Though, I agree his plotline was sorta bad. There's no real reason for him to come back. He'd be a bit overpowered, being able to banish an entire kingdom into frozen non-existence for a thousand years even upon his near-death of being turned into a shadow? I find it hard, theory-wise, regardless of the writer's points, that he is fully dead. He survived as a near-powerless shadow for a thousand years and came back with enough power in his weakened form with the potential to cover all of Equestria in his shadow. He could corrupt the magic of one as strong as Shining Armour's with a bare touch(?), which, I think, is comparable, though not as powerful, as a Princess's magic. As mentioned, pieces of his body seem able to spread his essence(?) on their own without any notable assistance. On topic According to Twinhead B, it seems unlikely he will return. However, Hasbro has pulled a lot of stuff and I doubt that reviving Sombra will be outside of the ethical list.
  16. I guess no one is buying the whole 'poor family with dedicated kids' thing, from what Treble says up there? Don't you remember Hercules(disney movie) and I dunno, anyone else with humble beginnings? It's kinda harsh to say they couldn't achieve their dreams just because their parents weren't already up the food chain. On topic. Shining Armour is a fine character. I have a lot of things to say, but, this thread just feels like it was made for the sake of making it.
  17. If they're actually cool with you enjoying the show, why would they be against you buying the merc? I mean, is it really expensive or something? Maybe, buy a few sizes above yours, expecting yourself to grow into it.(you're still 13...) (this is actually always a smart move for buying designer shirts you want for thrills)
  18. The link... works. However, the image seems to be loading wrong or you uploaded a corrupt image or that you saved/uploaded the wrong file.
  19. When I take into consideration that even reading can become an addiction, I find that it's not really all that different from anything else. MLP is now addictive to many bronies here. (we can't seem to stop enjoying it even though there isn't, initially, much else to enjoy) Hard to compare something with health-depleting effects to something that actually boosts physical health and relieves stress. (for some)
  20. I can't tell if you're trying to troll or not The image is a white(or seemingly transparent) 1x1 dimension png image. Are you sure you uploaded it properly? Maybe you saved it wrongly?
  21. Fair enough. Though, the last part of your post that goes "it is something you will not want to get into" sort of implies that it is something demeaning/etc should one partake in it. You might consider using something less suggestive next time. (this is just a suggestion)
  22. During some Christian leadership camp, we were assorted into groups. The pastor in charge was giving a speech which I wasn't listening to. At some point, he says "group blablabla(mine) will go first, starting from the left side", which refers to my seat. (I was avoiding them, I didn't want to be there, mum made me go with my lil' bro) I didn't realize he didn't mean I should go right then and that he was just stating it, so I walked out on all of them across the hall. (which, incidentally, meant walking right past them) I was still a bit punch-drunk from the short nap during his speech and failed to realize my group was not in line behind me. Later, the group leader(older kid) lectures me and is all pissed that I didn't seem to want to stick as a group for walking out on them like that. I both hated his obnoxious manner and the fact I couldn't mention I wasn't even paying attention to realize my mistake.
  23. In the earlier days of my gaming history. Digimon Rumble Arena. (my first Ps1. massive addiction to this game) [1-2 years] MapleStory (I regret wasting my time and money on this all those years ago) [2-3 years] GunZ (I wish I could play this again, but it's fueled too much of my hate and despair simply by playing it) [4-6 years]
  24. I dig all your hate, too. Except this one. Wut. You could just say 'excuse me'. =| A Yotsuba fan and someone who dislikes pointless things that cause horrible disturbances. Yay.
  25. Your definition for flaws, mate. She's grown by learning, episode by episode. Improving certain traits means she also lost others. Wanting a logical explanation for everything isn't supposed to be a guaranteed flaw, in most situations, it's actually quite valid... ... until Pinkie Pie shows up. She's adapting. If you're any static, you would fit your own definition of being '1-dimensional' which I assume means 'flat' or 'empty'. She's still a bookworm. (she lives and spends almost all her time reading in a library...) Sarcasm was never her strong point, was it? I don't know, I don't recollect a lot of sarcasm. She was always in denial rather than be sarcastic, if I recall properly. All the other characters have very cleanly cut flaws, but Twily was always the level-headed one in most situations. (when she isn't, she's still wonderful...) She's still doubtful about things, even with Pinkie Pie involved in the situation. Example, during 'Keep Calm and Flutter On', she displayed doubt for Princess Celestia's expectations for Fluttershy, even though it was clearly possible within logical definitions. Here are the only changes I can see... - Physical - More understanding of magic - Able to accept certain flaws in physics - Closer relationship with other ponies.
