  1. Thanks, I'm in a bit of a mad rush of upgrading PC components in preparation for an incredibly long and boring summer.
  2. About to drop a rather large chunk of cash on an almost new 24" LED monitor (hopefully). I just can't stand the 15" 16:9 on my ThinkPad anymore.

    movies/tv The Hobbit

There were some cool parts but I always have trouble understanding these types of movies, because they don't make me care enough about the environment, the plot, the themes etc. Maybe I'm not the right kind of audience for them.
  4. Nope, no one as yet. My 14 year old sister just might be one, but I haven't caught her watching any of the episodes yet. She knows more about my love of the show than anyone else though. I told my parents and they don't seem to be very interested for whatever reason, but I'd love to show them a small segment of the show to see if they like it. I'm toying with Rarity's whining in A Dog And Pony Show, and the song 'At The Gala' when the time comes.
  5. Listen To Her Heart In My Pants.
  6. His Skype name is penaattori98 if that helps. Nicknames don't help because they can't uniquely identify a Skype user. *facehoof*
  7. Assuming we're talking about new music here, that is the fault of the end user, not Pony.FM's. I think in time we can expand to include an 'archive' section, where we can obtain pure lossless copies of classic pony music from 2011/2012 where we can, though unfortunately some of it will have to be MP3 only.
  8. Right, I'm going to get back on topic here. If we are going to stick with lossless, shouldn't we have a mechanism in place so that we can reject fake lossless files that had been created from MP3s? If you go into any spectrum editor you will be able to see where each format cuts off the spectrum at a different point. For instance, MP3s cut off between 16KHz and 20KHz, whereas FLACs/CDs cut off at 22KHz. There should be a mechanism to reject any lossless file where the spectrum cuts off at 20KHz or less. This thread explains it a little bit better than I can.
  9. Was solely on Google for a very long time (made my account in 2007 when it was first launched), but I've now got something against Google's mission and policies so I've made a Yahoo account to migrate to. I'm hoping to delete the GMail side of my Google account by the end of the year.
  10. It appears I never posted mine here! patrickharper1 I'm online at the time of this post if you want to chat. Just avoid asking me for life advice, 'cause I have difficulty empathising with others.
  11. Very rarely, sadly. If I am pushed hard enough and for long enough in an argument in my parents, then I will give in. But apart from that, my eyes are usually dirty as hell.
  12. I'm pretty sure there's already a thread that was heading in the same direction...anyway, I don't think theaters would see it as enough of a big deal to warrant that kind of setup. I mean, I don't even know if there are enough bronies across the world that would book a screening for any one occasion in any one cinema. Anyway, it shouldn't matter because we should be able to enjoy th films in the same way as the girls can, without the segregation or the midnight hours. Its universal.
  13. Finland, easily. I have family over there so it kinda makes more sense for me to like it. But for everything else, you've really got to go there to see the elements at work.
  14. Depends on what I'm doing in that particular subject. For instance, I like ICT whenever its a theory lesson, but I hate the coursework side of it. By contrast, I love the composition side of Music, but when it comes to theory my mind groans. I don't really have anything that is consistently good (maybe English, PE), but I have plenty that are consistently bad (Physics, Maths, Product Design).
  15. I don't really have any good friends that I haven't been forced on, I have one which happened to be the son of a friend of my mum, but our interests kinda split up several years ago now.
  16. Piano, ever since I was about 6 (2003). I'm up to Grade 7 in it. However, I've dabbled with guitar (2006-2007) and the Trombone (2009-2010).
  17. I love how the votes for this are like, smack bang dead in the middle. Seriously, its worse that we as community can't even decide on how we judge ourselves! We need to stick to one voice and not try to do too many things at once. As it is right now we're kinda losing focus a bit.
  18. Yep, I avoided the earlier MLPs like the plague and I'm pretty sure these were the generations I thought of when I first heard of 'bronies'. But, times have changed like, big-time and I love the current generation more than anyone could ever have imagined.
  19. On my Firefox I've got Adblock Plus, FlashGot, DuckDuckGo Plus, and Linterna Magica (installed inside Greasemonkey). Can't remember for my other browsers.
  20. Hi there scratch-meister... What cart are you using right now on your turntable?
  21. Hmmm, it all depends how the regular ponies are going to act towards you really. And what about all the indigenous peoples and those living in economically deprived/corrupt areas? What difference would it make?
