  1. Walmart sells real ponies? What kind of exotic walmart do you have in your town? >Jealous!
  2. Yeah.... Only a robot would know that. Fine, if you don't want your settings changed that's up to you. But I'll be keeping an eye on you from now on. Robot. And, for the sake of staying on topic. Yes, once again welcome Dark Bison. You'll find most of us here are great people, and I'm sure you'll love your time here. Just watch out for robots disguised as ponies. If you suspect somepony of being a robot, just throw a hard math question at them. Only robots will get it right. Anyway, enjoy your stay!
  3. Uh huh.... What's the square root of 4,096?
  4. Well said. We'll love and tolerate the crap outta ya no matter what. So cheers for being all Hipster with the Barbie stuff. Maybe someday it'll be mainstream too.
  5. *gets out toolbox* Well, maybe I can reprogram you, get you off those factory settings. Tell me, would you like a humorous, witty, or serious greeting? *fiddles with tools for a moment* Hmm, I don't see an access port on you. Where's your Dialogue Settings Interface?
  6. Finesthour, man *drapes an arm around your shoulder* Let's work on some variety, eh? You sound like a robot issuing the same greeting to every newbie.
  7. I think a more appropriate question would be... "why do you even know about that Barbie adventure!?" MLP is acceptable girl stuff. Barbie is not. I kid, of course. Regarding the OP question, and this may surprise some, but I will explain my answer, if MLP broke the 4th wall I'd compare them to Sailor Moon. you respond. Yes indeed. Take the pilot episodes from season 1, you have a group of friends, perfectly normal ponies who have never known any special abilities, but it turns out they possess the elements of harmony within themselves, which give them special powers when combined allow them to defeat the sinister evil, Nightmare Moon, who had been imprisoned for a thousand years. Now, compare that to Sailor Moon, where a bunch of teen girls, perfectly normal in every way (well, if you don't count Usagi's incessant whining) discover they are actually Senshi with unique powers and combine their forces to fight a sinister evil, Queen Beryl, who had been lurking in a shadow dimension for close to a thousand years and was trying to steal energy from earth, etc... The girls in Sailor Moon don't always get along, but they do learn a lot about friendship along the way. They face enemies and hardships, but they grow closer because of it all. They argue and quarrel, but deep down they really care for each other. In MLP the ponies have issues each episode, they sometimes quarrel, but they really love each other too, and every time they face a challenge they grow closer from it. It's not a perfect comparison, but there's enough there to see a lot of similarities.
  8. Kinky! Anyway.... Welcome ProjectRKA. What sort of project are you? A government experiment? A secret project? Is Celestia building another Solar Prism to channel the sun's power into a giant laser beam and shoot it at the Griffon Kingdoms?
  9. We're doin Sennnsaaationaaaaal! *ehem* Welcome to the forums! Where'd ya get your user name?
  10. This should have been a poll. Overall, I'd say rarity has the best singing voice. Which makes sense, since her VA is a professional singer. Runner up is Rainbow Dash, and only because she hardly ever sings. The only time I ever heard her sing, that tiny part of 'At the Gala' was the best part of the entire song. I WANT MOAR! Following that I'd go with Sweetie Bell. She needs more 'good' songs. Hopefully they'll have a CMC episode at some point where she finally earns her cutie mark, and we get to hear her sing something awesome.
  11. Let me break it down for you. Season 1 (on netflix) is with the 9th Doctor, a rather silly looking chap in a leather jacket with very short buzzed hair. He's very different from Tennant and Smith, but he is who he is. In his own way he makes a pretty decent intro to the new Doctor Who. Throughout season 1 he takes his new companion, Rose Tyler, on an incredible journey around space and time, showing her the universe and reintroducing the audience to the world of Doctor Who. At the end of the season some cool stuff happens and he ends up regenerating into the 10th Doctor, David Tennant. Seasons 2-4 (on netflix) are with the 10th Doctor, the eternally awesome David Tennant, with the best hair ever, and the coolest voice antics. The episodes get better and better as you go, highlighting in the climactic season ending arc at the end of season 4. It's important to keep in mind, if you get far enough and don't give up on the show, that between the seasons after 2, there are special holiday episodes which are not listed among the regular season episodes. Especially after the end of season 4. The Doctor does not regenerate into Matt Smith's doctor at the end of season 4, but rather there are several stand-alone episodes following that transition him to the next Doctor. So, if you get that far, keep an eye out for extra episodes. I can provide a list if you want, and I'm sure others here can too. So yeah, enjoy! It's an amazing show. Totally worth it if you give it a serious chance.
  12. If anybody here actually has a pet pony, I think they should win the grand prize.
  13. You forgot the part at the end that makes it scary. You know.... "OoOoooOooo!"
  14. You didn't like the episode last week? Come on, how often do you get to see Twilight pull a Pinkamena and go crazy?
  15. Postcount war between Gummy and Finesthour. Fight! Fight! Fight! Err... No, Celestia, I'm not trying to stir up disharmony among your loyal subjects. Why do you ask?
  16. Well, it may have something to do with our watchful admin. I've noticed a few posts here and there that were deleted and marked 'trolling'... but yeah, for the most part. This. Is. So. Awesome!
  17. It's like the snowball effect. Once something starts to grow it continues gathering momentum and mass in the same direction faster and faster. With most fandoms, the early fans influence the direction of the fandom as it grow by gathering more like minded people into the mix who continue to spread the fandom in the same way. With MLP, the fandom was born with a lot of creativity and expression as a central part to it. This attracted more people who enjoyed that sort of thing, contributed their own creativity, and so on. I personally was attracted to the show because of all the art and comics. I'm not much of an artist, but I'm already working on giving back by writing a fanfic. And so the snowball effect continues. We see the entire fandom generating creative original content, and we're impressed, and we want to be a part of it. So we work hard to contribute stuff of our own and keep things rolling. The show itself is awesome. But it's the fan community that really keeps this going. We've made the hole fan experience about 20% cooler.
  18. Orange Candy slices, they're like gumdrops, but in the shape of orange slices. Very tasty.
  19. Spike and Rarity... really, there's a case of cradle robbing if ever there was one. He's a baby and she's full grown. Lucky boy.
  20. Yay. Why can't other forums be nice like this? There's one I helped found a while back, and it's falling apart and members are leaving cause they're mad at each other over stupid stuff. I mean really, bronies can't be the only people capable of getting along on the internet. Why is the rest of the world so sour?
  21. I don't think this forum has a Royalty of the Board. Although... if Twilight Sparkle doesn't mind, we might be ok with making one.
  22. Bill Amend shares our love for zombies.
  23. You know, Finesthour, it is really hypnotizing seeing a long line of endless bouncing Pinkie Pies hopping by down the entire right hand side of the forum.
