  1. Season 1 and 2 (can't choose between them) are by far my favorites. Such good, wholesome slice of life episodes... Oh, how I miss them!
  2. Man, do I love Touhou. I currently own pretty much all of the games. I beat every single game on normal mode WITHOUT using any continues. So as of right now, I'm moving onto hard mode. A couple of days ago, I actually tried hard mode for the first time (on Embodiment of Scarlet Devil) and I made it up to the final boss without using an continues. I had the most trouble clearing Unidentified Fantastic Object (if you're a beginner, please don't start with this game). Most of the patterns are sort of random and, in my opinion, luck based. Also, Unidentified Fantastic Object has one of the hardest final bosses (Byakuren) and many fans agree with this. Although, the easiest game is either Ten Desires or Embodiment of Scarlet Devil (for me). Embodiment of Scarlet Devil has the easiest final boss ever! They're both pretty easy games as a whole, to be honest. Also, the demo for the new upcoming Touhou game has been released! The new game is called "Urban Legend in Limbo", here are some screenshots:
  3. Wow, that's a tough one! I love the openings of all the generations except G4 (G4's opening is terrible and not catchy). In the end, I guess I'll choose... Wow, this is hard; I can't! All of the intros are perfect except for the G4 intro!
  4. I replied to each of your numbered opinions in order. 1. All I'm saying is that the G1 lessons are better. 2. The toys do matter because My Little Pony is a TOY FRANCHISE. 3. Well, they didn't do a very good job of breaking them. 4. Exactly, that's why it's boring. 5. Yes, the toys suck. While I agree that they don't resemble ponies, that's NOT the reason why I think the G4 toys are bad. 6. It's all a matter of opinion.
  5. You want to know why I think G1 is better than G4? Sure! Ahem... G1 had a lot of effort put into it. Everyone behind the show/specials strived to make all of the viewers fall in love with it. What is there to say about it? It's amazing. Better than Friendship is Magic, even. The dangerous plots always took the ponies on some incredible adventure where they always meet some sort of villain. The writers always sneaked in some comedy, emotion, and even suspense at the perfect moments. The lessons that the writers came up with are amazing; in G1, the lessons almost blew me out of my seat - because I realized, kids can actually learn from that, it took real-life problems that kids often struggle with! For me, most of the "lessons" in G4 are often forgettable, and most kids in real-life won't learn from it because it isn't relatable; this goes for some, if not most of the lessons in G4 (that's just my opinion). Creativity is also a very big part in this; the plots, villains, and adventures were incredibly creative. Ponyland being turned into glass? Yes, that's creative. The "heart" of Ponyland being distrubed, causing everything in Ponyland to go hay-wire? Yup, that's awesome to watch (not to mention it's creative). A purple goo that's not only covering and ruining the ponies land, but it always ruins the mood of any pony it touches? Yup, that's awesome and creative. The show/specials isn't the only good thing about G1, though. The G1 toys were AMAZING! Most of you Bronies only watch the G4 show, while thinking the G4 toys are bad. Which is a little odd, considering My Little Pony is a toy franchise. Anyway, back to the G1 toys; they were actually hand crafted. The crafters put every tiny little detail into the pony, and it ultimately worked out, because they are to die for! Not only do fans of G1 have fun watching the show, they have fun collecting the hand crafted toys. I also want to mention that G1 had good variations of the toys. Unlike G4, which has stupid variations like EQG, Ponymania, Pinkie Pie's Boutique, and Rainbow Power. G1 actually has good variations; Colorswirl Ponies? Great. Flutter Ponies? Great. Sea Ponies? Great. Brush 'N Grow Ponies? Super pretty! Baby Ponies? Great. Twice As Fancy Ponies? Great. So as I mentioned, the show isn't the only good part of G1, the toys are too! Honestly, G4 is the worst generation to me. The characters are all typical and un-original. The fashionista, the athlete, the nerd and the shy one... hmmm, do any of those sound familiar? Plus, almost everything in it is copied from the past generations, the characters being the most obvious. The show itself is boring as heck - the "adventures" are... wait a minute, they don't even HAVE adventures! And the whole "learning about friendship" thing is getting old. And please, DON'T get me started on the G4 toys! There. I made my post, and I'm quickly leaving this topic before 99% of the Brony population overload this topic with older gen hate.
  6. My Little Pony should have never rebooted, it was perfection when it first started! But they rebooted it into washed up garbage that's called G4. So if Hasbro decides to move My little Pony into G5, I'm hoping they do it soon so G4 could finally come to an end.

    G3 Fan Club

Paradise fan-art! <3 It really un-amuses me that Bronies always pick out every flaw they find in past generations, while G4 has a ginormous amount of flaws itself (then Bronies go on pretending that G4 is 100% perfection without any flaws). The only way Bronies find older gen ponies tolerable to look at is by drawing them in the G4 style (which I'm not a fan of). This unfortunately won't change with the fandom whatsoever. ________________________________________________________________________________________ So, did any of you watch the G3/G3.5 specials in the "Mega Mare-A-Thon"?
  8. I hate it because it's not catchy whatsoever; it's just a theme song, not everyone is going to like it. ____________________________________________________________________________ If you want to hear a real intro, though...
  9. ________________________________________________________________________________________ It surprises me that people think G5 is going to have anything to do with G4; if G5 has ANYTHING to do with G4, it would automatically be considered G4.5. Everything in G5 is going to be completely new - new art style, new characters, new setting, and nothing (absolutely nothing) to do with FiM/G4. I'll say this again - NOTHING to do with G4. Anyway, to be a little more on topic here, I don't see anything particular I want to see in G5. Every generation of MLP is amazing so far (G4 being the worst in my opinion, but it's apparently really popular), so I'm sure that the next generation will have a lot of success hopefully.
  10. The pony that was manipulated to look like Derpy in the picture is actually a male.
  11. Of course, I'm fully aware that Newborn Cuties was severely lacking in effort; my earlier statement was not intended to defend the show.
  12. Do you want to know how "young" the target audience was? Newborns; Newborn Cuties was aired on a Newborn channel.
  13. Bronies need to learn My Little Pony is a toyline franchise and that the shows are advertisements for the toys. Still, it's ironic that G4 has it's own Newborn Cuties toy.
  14. It's really funny how G4 has it's own Newborn Cuties toyline.
  15. I'm not much of a G4 fan, so may I talk about G1? Ahem... It had a lot of effort put into it. Everyone behind the show/specials strived to make all of the viewers fall in love with it. What is there to say about it? It's amazing. Better than Friendship is Magic, even. 16. I'm praying that they're not! I mean, Hasbro bringing back the Flutter Ponies as teenage rock stars that are secretly evil... NO!
  17. They're putting G3 into the marathon; this is amazing! I'm only gonna watch the marathon for G3. But too bad they aren't airing G1, if only the still had rights to it... Oh well, I can always watch G1 online. This is good, though, that they're airing it next to G4, so maybe some Bronies will give it a chance! EDIT: Here's the Promo!
  18. Why did Cinderella get kicked off the softball team? Because she always ran away from the ball.

That joke is the best I have (herd) all day.

  19. Oh, that card game - I've heard of it, but I don't think I'll play it anytime soon. Although, I do like the art style on the cards!
  20. More than half of the comments here mentioned that in nearly every episode there are new characters which destroys the concept of main characters in the show and that the show doesn't focus on character development, so therefore they don't have personalities - this is so not true! First off, My Little Pony 'n Friends does have main ponies that appear in a majority of the episodes. Some of the main/re-occurring characters are Galaxy, Heart Throb, Wind Whistler, Sweet Stuff, Posey, Surprise, Lickety Split, Fizzy, and Gusty. This may seem like a lot (if you're used to G4), but when you watch the show, it seems like the perfect amount and it makes sense. These ponies re-occur in a majority of the episodes, if not all. And second, the ponies DO have personalities! Wind Whistler - An incredibly smart pony who often talks in logic and sometimes gives off the impression that she has no feelings, but she actually does. They even made a whole episode on this matter, watch "Crunch The Rock Dog"! That episode deals with Wind Whistler having trouble expressing her feelings, because she often uses logic instead of showing emotion, and this causes the ponies to believe she has no feelings whatsoever. Posey - Her personality is actually a lot like Fluttershy's; she's sweet, kind, caring, and a little shy. She loves her garden very much, just like Fluttershy loves her animals very much. Since she is used to seeing such beautiful flowers everyday, she doesn't see much "ugly" things. They made a episode with an INCREDIBLE lesson called "Fugitive Flowers". Posey learning that ugly isn't always nasty and pretty isn't always nice. Galaxy - She tends to be a leader is situations, and always motivates people and tells them to never give up. In the episode "Baby, It's Cold Outside" she sang a song about how they shouldn't give up and that they should tackle the situation. Throughout the episode, she kept showing leadership and never lost hope/motivation, even when things were getting tough. Honestly, there are MANY other personalities that I can explain to you, but that'll be too time consuming; I think I made my point pretty clear.
  21. That's like asking if a tall person is smarter than a short person. It all depends on their personality; every horse/pony has their own unique personality about them along with their own strengths and weaknesses. You also mentioned that "ponies can be a little mischievous" - that doesn't effect their level of intelligence or trainability at all. Plus, that's a stereotype, there are many ponies that are calm and very nice. So all in all, there isn't much of a difference between horses and ponies when it comes to intelligence, it's all in their personality.
  22. Well, it actually wasn't too bad for a BABY show, a lot of babies enjoy it and that's all that matters; and again, the writing actually wasn't that bad considering it was a baby show. And so what if MLP G1 is an 80s show? Almost all of the 80s cartoons are much better than the poor entertainment they put on TV today.
  23. Maybe I can defend it, because it aired on a newborn/baby channel, and it was specifically intended for newborns/babies; so I don't think it's going to be a magnificently well-written show that adults can relate to.
