  1. Now that just sounds silly. We all know the series villain is that one dragon who suggested looting Equestria for all its pillows! Who would ever think of something so evil as to rob our little Equine friends of a good night sleep. Taking away those fluffy bags of comfort is considered a crime against Pony-kind according to the Geneighva Convention!! Worse than Joseph Stallion, he is!
  2. *Contraversial Opinion Time* The Duel between Darh Vader and Ahsoka were so good that it topped both of Vader's duels with Obi-Wan.

  3. People keep finding this every single season. "Sir, these two characters had a friendly interaction with each other!" "SHIP EM!!! LET THE FLAGS FLY!!!!" SHIPPERS!! SHIPPERS EVERYWHERE!!
  4. Yeah. The episodes are starting to really starting to flow better. I do have to ask the though, why are the writers hellbent on making Bubbles scary?! It's like the MLP fandom's fanon characterization of Pinkie Pie on crack!
  5. Well I need a reminder. Was there an episode in the classic series where 2/3 of the girls got new powers and the other one felt left out or vice versa? Because the new episode had that.
  6. Okay. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for Game Gear. WHO'S THE SADIST THAT MADE THIS!?!?!?!?

  7. So Ms Bellum appeared in the new episode of PPG and the Mayor actually saved the day. WHAT MAD UNIVERSE IS THIS!?!?!?!?

Yeah, but she'll be gone on her thousand day vacation. xD

  8. I have to say it's grossly unfair to deem the new PPG show as bad because of Horn, Sweet Horn. Especially for this fandom considering that MLP has made some episodes that are just as bad if not worse. Bridle Gossip, Feeling Pinkie Keen and Over a Barrel anyone?

    1. ponylaces

      ponylaces

Wait, do people seriously think that PPG is bad solely based on one bad episode? Seriously?

  9. Pretty much have to agree with ManGuy here. I pretty much like the show myself. Yeah it had a bad episode, but to be fair MLP had quite a few bad episodes in Season 1 (Boast Busters, Bridle Gossip, Feeling Pinkie Keen and Over A Barrel, anyone?) and it's had episodes throughout it's entire run that are probably just as, if not more offensive than Horn, Sweet Horn. So, yeah, I find it pretty unfair to write the entire show off as bad for that one episode alone considering some of the bad episodes we've seen from MLP.
  10. Happy Birthday Buffalo Dude!!

  11. Does anyone else think that the 5th Gen Console Era (PSOne, Saturn, N64) was the most hideous time for gaming graphics-wise?

I agree with Nuke that the transition to 3D is mostly to blame. There are very few games from that era that hold up graphically

Some N64 games if uprezed or run in emulators can look very crisp and smooth. PS1 had very grainy visuals when attempting 3D. The nicest looking PS1 games were high res 2D. Also a lot of N64 games ran at 60FPS. Nintendo systems are usually very good with frame rate.

  12. So how long until we get to see Vanhoover, eh?!

    1. Jammo

      Jammo

Unfortunately this show seems to use Manehattan as it's go to urban setting.

I kind of worry that Vanhoover only exists in this universe as a production joke that won't be explored.

Heck. Maybe they'll be like Blizzard and pull a Pandaria. Turn a joke into interesting lore. I hope so but you think they'd mention the place more.

  13. 1. Every show ends eventually and another gen will pop up. Even if nobody asked for it to happen. 2. As to why everyone's certain that there will be a Gen 5 (and there will): Transformers. This is Hasbro you're talking about after all.
  14. Considering that this is the fourth incarnation and it's proven to be a massive hit I'm going to say no for this one simple reason: Transformers! That and there are fans of G1 that still exist, some of the creators of this show were fans of G1 to begin with. Now you can tell us about how bad Tales,G3 and G3.5 were until you're blue in the face, If MLP was able to get to it's fourth incarnation and create a big hit with said incarnation there no way the My Little Pony franchise is going to die off.
  15. Ah man. Darth Vader vs Ahsoka. Those feels, man!

I still haven't seen Rebels. Man people hated on Ahsoka so much when Clone Wars was new, but I'd argue along with Ventress she became the most interesting and developed character.

  16. So I am playing Mega Man Powered Up. I hate Fire Man. Especially during the boss rush!

It should have been re-released on the 3DS instead we get a remake that looks like the original 8-bit version.

      bronywhocodes

actually, that makes sense seeing as it was originally a nintendo ip.

  19. The Powerpuff Girls are back and the reboot is glorious!! But with that said, geez, they need to take the time to reintroduce the characters from the original series!

I saw the three episodes out and honestly I don't know why the old fans are mad. If weren't for the obvious changes (art though only slightly, voice cast and the appearance of new tech) it could easily pass as another season of the original show. So far Princess Morbucks and the Mayor have made their appearances and they are perfectly in character and the writing is actually pretty good. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.

  20. So we've got one of these threads, eh? Well, I'm not really concerned, I don't think the quality will drop. I find the new seasons better than the old ones anyway.
  21. Okay, so I saw the second episode and you know something? It was pretty fun. I liked it and it gives me a good feeling about how the show is going to turn out. However there is one major issue I had with this episode, It's something that should have been aired later. Now you're probably wondering "Coffee, if you liked the episode so much, why do you think it should have been aired later?" Well to be honest, the fatal flaw of this episode is that it already treats Princess Morbucks as an established character. Now, before you say "but we already know who she is!" yes, I'm aware of that. However it's only us, the old fans, who know who she is and how she operates. And this is something I applaud the episode on, they got Princess Morbucks spot on, this is totally something she would do, it's completely in character. But do keep in mind that this is a reboot, this is a show that's meant to introduce a new generation to the Powerpuff Girls, so while we, the people who grew up watching the original know who these villains are, the new generation of kids don't. I know some of you don't like hearing this but the new generation is the primary audience, we aren't, and while I do think it's a good idea to keep the older generation invested (Walt Disney's "If you only aim for kids, you've failed" quote and all that) you do have to keep the generation in mind. So while I liked the episode, I think they should have saved this one for later and that they should spend the time to reintroduce these villains for the new generation of fans. While I do appreciate that they're aiming to get the old fans attention, it felt like this episode was trying to get our attention only. New audiences who haven't seen the old show are probably going to think "Who are these characters?" and are probably going to be left confused as they don't know them. So tl;dr, good episode but they've to think about the new audience and spend the time to introduce the classic villains to them. I think this is my problem with the show so far: It's acting more like a new season than a new show.
  22. It could have been better but the first episode was alright and the show still has my attention. The good news is, it isn't terrible. I have seen plenty of awful shows (Teen Titans Go, Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, Johnny Test, etc.) and this doesn't even make the cut. The problem is right now is that it's...okay. Just okay. However like I said, this is just the first episode and maybe it's just going through the "First few episode/first season rough patch". A lot of the shows I like had those so I'm going to need to see a few more episodes. I definitely see potential in it. HOWEVER THAT OPENING, GOOD GOD, THAT WAS ASSAULT ON THE EARS!!!
  23. So saw the PPG Reboot, I can't say I know what to think of it.
