Every one of your avatars somehow looks more impressive than the last. :'D Love it!

Aww thanks SFyr!! :D I looked at a lot of anime stuff this time for inspiration. :P

  2. Yeah, KND is probably the most solid crossover idea in my mind. Adults are not all that present, and dang Eddy does have some good haphazard technological know-how.
  3. @@Pucksterv, she's adorable, haha. I really like her expression too.
  4. I for one welcome our new way of life Out with the dull, in with the askew DISCORD FO LIFE
  5. This is awesome news! Congratulations! I'm sure it'll be a big change in life, but an amazing one. I'm happy for ya!
  6. Ideally after you get a working demo going, and plenty of proof-of-concepts to show off, in my opinion. Though, probably look into what you'll need the money for specifically, how you're going to use it/need it, and where you plan to go from there. The main point is that you should probably be beyond the "idea" stage and proving to the public that you can in fact deliver when you set out on a project. I think there's a common sentiment of "everyone has awesome ideas, few people make it happen" when it comes to things like game making. You can't just pitch awesome ideas, because pretty much everyone has those. However, if it looks like this project will actually become a thing, you'll find support easier.
  7. Agreed with the people above. There are even plenty of mario platformers that play differently than mario maker. Trust me, you're good. Though really, if all that sets a game apart is level design, there's probably issues with it's uniqueness from the start. There's a lot more to go off of in a game, and that's where you'll find the reason why platformers are in no way threatened.
  8. Your books will now be attached to oversized ballista arrows for the sake of near-immediate, to-home delivery from a distance via the library's new Megaballista Delivery SystemTM. The fine print guarantees within 10 feet of accuracy, but waives any responsibility for the arrow's landing. I wish my apartment walls were actually soundproof against dogs barking and running around in the middle of the night.
  9. Honestly the whole waifu/husbando bit is fun in my eyes. Yes, some people take it too seriously I'm sure (same with everything really), and yes, some people use the term without even a trace of seriousness. It's one of those things I think can be fun, can be weird, but ultimately it's pretty harmless.
  10. Ohh, this is awesome news! I'll be looking forward it!
  11. I wish you luck with your career change, or finding your way to one of your dream jobs. They all sound just great! ( Also, ebay flipping sounds fun. It sounds like something that could be good money if you're knowledgeable/skilled in that area. ) Anyways. I'm a full time undergrad student preparing for a career somewhere between biochemistry and computer science. I'm currently in year three of... six or so. On the side, I'm hired on as the tumblr artist for this site, and I make some money through art commissions. :grin2:
  12. Welcome to the forums, Frostbite. I hope you like it here, haha. Have you been finding your way around alright so far? :grin2:
  13. @@daileyart, Welcome to the forums, Daileyart! Considering the show's been around for quite awhile, I imagine you're pretty well off with drawing ponies, eh? :grin2: I got into the show around Season 2, but took up drawing ponies a ton later on. Anyways, I look forward to seeing your art and tutorials. They sound interesting. Once again, welcome!
  14. One week later, and my computer is alive again! :D Yay.

Lmao, thanks! Sadly it might take me a little bit to get oriented again. xD Now I gotta reinstall everything 'and' get to the stuff I've been needing my computer to do over the break. Woo. :P

At least you got it to work again ^^ Have fun :P

... and pls make more Pixel Wavelength comics c:

  15. @@Sapphire Lightning, truuuueee, but I think that's one of the few exceptions. Plus, in that case, the visual difference between the toons and humans helped reinforce their differences in other ways too. But I'll definitely give you that it worked there. I was more thinking like, if you mixed south park with simpsons, family guy with avatar the last airbender... stuff of the like. I can't see it fitting together well, so I imagine one would be converted to the other, as many (most?) crossovers do so. :grin2:
  16. I think it's a popularity thing. I've not seen quite as much set in Detroit or Dallas either, which are the two cities I've lived closest to in my life. As for the places I've actually lived? No hope at all, they don't really have that powerful of a name or reputation. Meanwhile, New York especially is huge in terms of recognizability. But yeah: LA and NYC are probably the most famous cities you could pick out of the US. Makes sense for most media to be based there on average.

Holy wow. Your avatar is one of the cutest things ever. :o Very nice!

Oh my, thank you! Coming from the master of cute pone art, that means a lot! :P

Heheh. If I 'did' have such a title, I think I'd have some very solid competition. ;p Again, Quartz looks just adorable!

  18. Computer's fried. Yay. Looks like I'm making friends with my old laptop and regular pencils for awhile. c:

      Lmao. xD Seems so!

Though I almost regret not getting a slightly better one, back in the day. :P

  19. I hate studying the day before tests. :c I always feel like I know enough to justify stopping then and there, and goof off instead. ...Which is a terrible way to prep for a test.

I know that feel. However, it has happened to me lately because I've been VERY lazy. I don't know what the heck is wrong with me. I did pretty damn well in high school, but as soon as I entered college, I became the king of procrastination. :c Good luck!

Honestly I think it happens to a lot of us though, haha.

Personally, I think it has a good bit to do with all the freedom of choosing when to work and how. xD That's what got me to put things off so much.

Alright. I'll admit to having your stories on my to read list, but I haven't just yet read them. Though after seeing you on here, I'm seriously considering bumping it up to my next in line. Anyways, I have a question or two for ya, if you don't mind. First, are there any other stories that heavily influenced your writing? Like, has any other story been inspirational to what you have written/currently are working on? Second, are you planning on working with changeling in future stories? After Advent of Applejack, and such. ( Or, perhaps other races that are used less, such as batponies or griffons? )
