  1. I know saberspark already beat me to this, but I feel like saying it anyway:
  2. No, I haven't been offended by the show (or anything that I can think of for that matter). The show has made me cringe before, if that counts.
  3. Well food's food, I guess. I'm not going to starve to death because of something as arbitrary as a cannibalism taboo.
  4. This might sound like a good idea now, but I feel like every show is going to do it in an attempt to be the next Steven Universe, and people will get sick of it.
  5. Oh for fuck's sake. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxKtZmQgxrI The new version is the one Cartoon Network wants people to watch, and will advertise it heavily. Boy, how did you come to that well thought-out assumption? Since I don't like it I must be nostalgia blinded, despite the fact that I didn't grow up with the original series, and I only first watched it two years ago. If you actually read the rest of my post, you would know that I didn't simply criticize it for being different, but rather that it doesn't work as it's own thing. It tried to appeal to a new generation by using memes, (thus dating itself in the process,) while at the same time attempting to cater to fans of the original using nostalgia. It all comes off as an incoherent mess of trying to target everyone. Normally when reboots and spinoffs remove elements from the original, they would usually put something in it's place to set it apart as it's own thing. In this case, the show is (according to the creators,) supposed to be more "character driven" than the original. Ironically, the main characters in this reboot are one dimensional, and the "character interaction" consists of references to the original that newcomers wouldn't get, forced jokes, and nothing of substance.
  6. Honestly, I didn't put much effort into making my "offensive" post. It was just my attempt at making a dumb reference, which in hindsight was probably too obscure to be worth referencing in the first place. I suppose one may argue that it's a double standard that I called out the PPG reboot for being cluttered with references, but it's okay for me to make them. My counterargument would be that the PPG reboot doesn't work on it's own partly because of the references, but you don't have to have seen Plinkett's reviews to understand what I said in my post.
  7. The Powerpuff Girls 2016 reboot was the most disappointing thing since my son. I mean how much more could you possibly fuck up a premise as simple as The Powerpuff Girls? And unlike my son who eventually hanged himself in the bathroom of a gas station, the unfortunate reality of the reboot is that this generation will always remember Powerpuff Girls as the reboot. Forever. It will never go away. It can never be undone. So where do I possibly start? Nothing in the reboot makes any sense at all. It comes off like a script written by a nostalgia-blinded amateur who just discovered internet memes. It's like the writers finished the script in one draft, like they turned it in and they decided to go with it, without anyone saying that it made no sense as a self-contained story, or was a stupid incoherent mess of references. I guess at this point, who's going to need to expend the effort into making the audience have a connection with the story, when they can easily reference things the audience likely already has some connection to? Cartoon Network probably got rid of anyone working on the show who thought creatively a long time ago. I also think that everyone just assumed that a Powerpuff Girls reboot would be an instant hit, regardless of how the execution was. Really, how hard could it be to screw up? It's like screwing up mashed potatoes! You boil the water, and pour the packe-
  8. I finally got around to finishing Wolfenstein: The New Order. Holy shit, if you haven't played this game already, play it.
  9. Silent Hill 2, but we all know that's not going to happen since Konami is Konami. #beatingadeadhorse
  10. As long as I die when the world ends. I don't want to be aimlessly wandering in an empty wasteland or floating in space for all eternity.
  11. I find Donald Trump pretty fascinating.
  12. I've decided to give the show a break. I'll probably end up waiting until all of Season 6 has aired before watching it.

  14. If you think you're creatively drained now, just wait until you get a career in animation. Anyway, just make sure you actually like what you're doing, and you're not simply doing it to be another "me too!" brony animator. It will show in your work. And unless you're a masochist or insane like me, don't become an animator. Your job stability is dependant on your country having a low dollar value, so foreign companies will be more willing to pay you due to the lower exchange rate. Deadlines are tight, and not turning in your frames in before the deadline will cost the studio money, their likelihood to get work, your job, as well as your likelihood to get hired by another studio.
  15. Yay, Kevin Conroy is back. (I already heard Mark Hamill was returning.) Still waiting for a release date.
  16. If you somehow thought My Little Dashie was depressing, wait until you see this. There's also this adaptation of My Little Dashie, which is miles better than the original. Rest in Pizza Rainbow Dash.
  17. I have to admit, I actually kind of like this series. I was expecting the worst after seeing things like "Bronies VS Anti-Bronies". You know, I was expecting a really dumb, pandering, meme-spouting Brony video. However, I found myself laughing quite a bit throughout this series, and actually really enjoying it. There also some genuinely interesting reactions in this, and some really good skits. Sure it's a little ham-fisted, and a little corny. But you know, it's a video made by fans for fans. It's not made by professionals. I was thinking of myself, and my initial reaction to the show back in the day, and what it would be like to go back and re-experience what it was like to first watch the show. It just struck home to me. Ultimately this web series is about friendship, it's about good times, It's about new experiences, and I think you would really have to just be a complete stick-in-the-mud to not have a good time with these funny guys! This series was like being invited to watch a show with a bunch of old buddies. And when ACRaceBest comes around, you know it's the height of the episode! Bronies React is a web show where you can just relax, have a good time, and enjoy the ride! Bronies turn up the comedy to 11 in their new show that's as satisfying, as it is highlarious! Bronies React is like eating rat poison; It really is a good idea! Bronies React is funny bro! It's 20% cooler! Stop thinking brain, you're going to hurt yourself! Derpy, Flufflepuff, hahaha, Lyra Heartstrings, she sits like a human, ha. Blender in my braaaain! ACRaceBest is hilarious in Bronies React, it's like fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Fork in the brain. Bronies React is hilarious bro. What do you know?
  18. "Game of Ponies". Very creative title. Also, I wouldn't recommend non-ironically referencing fantasy shows better than MLP.
  19. Game of Thrones, Better Call Saul, Daredevil Season 2, Steven Universe (Hopefully), Archer, and maybe I'll get around to finishing Batman The Animated Series, Beyond, etc. I know, right? And who's this Walter White guy people keep talking about? ...I'm tired. Shut up.
  20. It turns out buying Stardew Valley isn't exactly the smartest thing to do if you're a procrastinator.

  21. Dear god... what have I done?!
  22. For me it's a toss-up between Steven Universe and Rick and Morty.
  23. Huh. The MLP fandom never ceases to amaze, I'll give them that.
  24. No, because there isn't a big enough audience to make it worth the investment.
