  1. I would honestly prefer to see names sorted from most active to inactive. Though maybe, if there was a way to opt-out of having your name on the list, that might be something to consider. Not sure who would want to opt-out, but maybe some users just wouldn't want their name listed or wouldn't want their birth date to be known. YES!! I love that idea! A birthday icon next to the username. Maybe I should make a mock-up image of that as well. DOUBLE YES!! Having a notification should be obvious. Guess I'll need to make a mock-up of that too.
  2. It's amazing to me how so many people miss the most obvious, most powerful message from the ponies that brought us all here in the first place. Seriously, think about it. Twilight Sparkle is the studious dork, Rainbow Dash is the jock, Pinkie Pie is a party animal, Rarity is a fashionista, Applejack is a work-focused country girl, and Fluttershy is a shy nature lover. Such characters should have little to no reason to be friends; in some cases, these character types would have nothing to do with each other, yet they are friends just the same. Sure they might have been united because of the Elements of Harmony, but they were all ready learning to like each other before they learned their destiny. Soon they accepted each other and became the tightest of friends. And it's not because they always share the same interests or the same path in life. Nope. It's because they see and appreciate each other for who they really are. When I was just a tiny little kid, I saw another example of this decades earlier. I grew up watching Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The main five teenagers also represented character types that normally wouldn't spend time together if they could avoid it. There was a jock, a nerd, a party animal, a valley girl, and a de facto ambassador. Jocks are usually bullies; nerds would never willingly hang out with them. A valley girl (or the popular girl) would normally only hang out with someone very similar. Yet they became friends anyways. They did not give in to stereotypes; they became something more. Sure, they were united under the shared cause of saving the world, but they didn't hate being around each other. And soon, they saw each other for the souls they really were. They became real friends; with an ironclad sense of friendship. I've wanted friends for so many years of my life. For the first half of my life, it felt like I was denied friends. I also fell into the idea that I should only try to find people just like me if I want to make friends. But it's not about finding an echo chamber. It's about finding people that will treat you like a decent human being. It's about natural compatibility. It's about being willing to learn from each other, and celebrate each other. We might not always be united under a shared goal, like saving the world. But friendship should be its own sacred goal worth reaching for. But if you're manipulating people and situations to only get what you want, if you are tricking people into "friendship" for your own selfish agenda... That's not true friendship. True friendship is two-sided. Both sides have to learn to care about each other. To learn from each other. To better each other equally. Friendship can lead to great growth and amazing discoveries. Those who are too proud of themselves and who they currently are? They will only rob themselves of the wonderful experiences and the wonderful friendships they could have.
  3. Nope. ...Just pretend I did. That'll be our secret. IronM17?

This is so random which means that I love it! :ButtercupLaugh:
Also, I saw Zecora doing air-guitar with a broom, Maud Pie doing the muda muda to a rock and Fluffle puff making Chrysalis blush so I'm happy now. :izzy-shine:
      Thank you, @Samurai Equine:hug2:

You're welcome, sis. Glad I could bring you some happiness. :hug1

  5. As long as it's not coming out of my pocket, and as long as they occasionally invite me to come along, then sure! Would you date someone who insists on visiting every major city possible across the world?
  6. No, I do not! Such an entitled creature. What, being a regular possum isn't good enough for you? What are you, some kind of king or something? (BTW, I am just joking. I honestly don't care. ) Do you own a swing set?
  7. I do, but I'd like to take some lessons on singing professionally. Do you have a certified license for something (besides driving)?
  8. I'd like to suggest adding a "More" button to the Birthdays listing on the side of the front page. To illustrate my suggestion, I've made some mock-up images. Clicking "More" would bring up a soft in-browser window listing all the users who are celebrating their birthdays on the same day. (Image does not reflect any real users on this forum.) This way, no one will feel like they are getting phased out just because the Birthdays widget mentioned 5 other users instead. I'd also like to think that this will encourage more socializing and potential friend making.
  9. Hello there, my crowd! Welcome to my Weekly Musings: Red Edition.

    [I ❤ JAPAN] -- [I ❤ THE COLOR RED] -- [I ❤ CELESTIA]

Police STOP - Emoticon Point Right Feel free to leave a song request. Your song will eventually be featured in a future Weekly Musings entry! Point Left STOP - Emoticon Police

Hello, my crowd! 250630.gif Sorry the delay on this one. Got no excuses this time.

bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png The biggest things that happened to me over the past week were: I got an item that I ordered online (it came from China, so it took forever to reach me), and I installed some shelves in my shed with my uncle's help. It was tough work in this heat wave we seem to be experiencing, but we got it done! And while he initially hated my fan idea, he eventually asked for it. ^_^

cel.png.932df6a068796c2120797b896cfae033.png I saw some awesome pop culture stuff! The logo for the new Masters of the Universe movie dropped. I really have no idea what to feel; all the promotional art looks perfect but story descriptions I've heard don't inspire hope. I saw a trailer for Aztec Batman; that looks cool. And absolutely no one could have predicted a  Spinal Tap II trailer.

bmc.png.dead4df5641294b1d1c51b1da6cdaeeb.png Power Rangers Re-Ignition finally dropped on Netflix and other platforms. It's just an AI-enhanced rerelease. It upscales the video to 1080p without ruining the quality; but they definitely missed the chance to make it 60fps or some other nice enhancements. Just don't turn on the subs. They are dictated by AI and either incorrect or incomplete half the time. If you have an old DVD/Bluray release of the series, hold on to that. This one isn't anything special. It's only for those who haven't seen the show before and have no other way of seeing it.

cel.png.932df6a068796c2120797b896cfae033.png MOVIE TIME! icon?1379626399 I saw SUPERMAN (2025)! I won't say much because it's in theaters. Go check it out! I will only say that I think James Gunn did a fabulous job of making the Superman experience we should be having. It's not perfect by any means. There are some minor narrative flaws that I didn't care for. However, for every flaw, there was at least two other things I applaud the movie for doing. I am hoping that this not only becomes successful enough to get a sequel, but that the sequel ends up being even better than the first movie.

That's it for now, my crowd. :coolphoto: Take care, and make a little room.

Wild mashup. Let's go. "DragulAPT." by DJ Cummerbund.

  10. One day, I shall be legendary too... Sparky?
  11. I absolutely loved how that remix reimagined the song! Flawless!
  12. Yes! Do you like ferrets?
  13. I'm not super familiar with Greek mythology, so can't say that I would. Would you date any Japanese mythology/folktale monsters?
  14. Yes, but not professionally. Do you own any sports equipment?
  15. Celebration is not always condemnation. Likewise, creation is not always something else's destruction. On this forum, we give users the freedom to celebrate national holidays of their countries, such as America's 4th of July celebration. For many, this celebration marks the birth and creation of their country; their day of independence and freedom. While it has the potential, it is not inherently political by nature. Any political reasons that created this holiday happened centuries ago. We are far removed from the political issues that happened & were settled long ago; and only a small few make this celebration about modern political issues. Most do not. For most, it is a mundane celebration. Eat food, watch fireworks, dress in the colors of the flag, etc. Those who choose to make it political are few and far in-between, and many of those who do probably only do so in a casual/passive way. It's hardly ever a lengthy discussion about government, international issues, disrespecting other countries, or other such matters. In short, a holiday like this is about creation and open celebration. It is NOT inherently about politics, destruction, nor the condemnation of other countries. It can potentially be turned into that, but by nature, that is not the focus. Now let's contrast this against something else, such as image of a specific country's flag being burned. This is an act of destruction, and when it involves a flag representing a country, the act itself is inherently political. Continuing from the previous example, should a casual passerby see someone else burning the American flag, their immediate thought and reaction is most likely going to be "Oh, they're making an anti-American statement." The same is usually true if you burn any flag representing any other country. It is embedded in our collective associations. To my knowledge, there is a lack of national family-friendly holidays that involve burning any kind of flag for the fun of it in most countries. While the imagery can be used for a nonpolitical reason, it becomes all the more important to keep that reason in-context. You wouldn't run up to people saying "Die!" and expect them to automatically know that you want them to tie-dye a shirt or show them your dice collection, would you? You can argue that the burning of a flag is not a political message, but you can't stop people from automatically assuming a political message was intended. It is a visible act of destruction, condemnation, and rebellion. It takes a lot of convincing to say otherwise. Now obviously, everyone is different. Many people have wildly different associations. Many people cannot help but see the political side to stuff that only has a political suggestion. Some cannot help but focus on these things, while most others aren't. We have nothing against this, but as we have made it clear in the past, political discussions have a time and place. We have created a space for it, a club known as Twilight's Soapbox. It's an opt-in section of the forum that is not public. We ask people to keep their political statements there; which we made absolutely clear in the Guidelines. We have asked people to refrain from publicly posting stuff that have a strong, automatically political association with little room for nonpolitical interpretation. We have allowed many discussions in the open part of the forum, but the staff has always been vigilant. Should a discussion start getting too political, we have not hesitated in making sure it gets redirected to the Soapbox, and we continuously encourage our users to do the same. There is no room for ignorance on these issues. In summary, we have a designated area for political discussions and statements. Making these statements outside of Twilight's Soapbox is nothing short of an action that violates our Guidelines, and ignorance of these Guidelines is no excuse. Everyone has the right to believe whatever they want, but everyone must follow the Guidelines of this forum if they wish to stay here. No amount of political thoughts or feelings makes anyone exempt from the Guidelines. At the end of the day, let's focus on celebration and fun! This is a pony forum of friendship that is all about embracing diverse friendships despite any differences. It is okay to disagree but it is not okay to encourage political discourse on a fun gathering or discussion where politics were not intended. Here at MLP Forums, we the staff have protected many groups and users from inflammatory content, and that included political discourse over celebrations and discussions not meant to be political in nature. Those who make it about politics, especially in a hateful or derogatory way, will be subject to the same warnings and punishments as everyone else. Hate speech is not protected here, but genuine discussions are allowed within the proper areas of the this forum. We only ask that our users learn the layout of the forum and to practice self-control and good disassociation skills, so as not to accidentally post in the wrong area nor turn innocent discussions into something completely different. The staff makes allowances for people still learning how to navigate this forum; we understand when they accidentally post in the wrong section. Likewise, the staff knows the difference between someone accidentally posting in the wrong section, vs. someone knowingly posting in the wrong section for the sake of provocation. No single group of users is superior to another. No innocent celebrations should be turned into anything more then that just because of one user's beliefs. While the staff is human and always doing their best to learn and improve, users of this forum are still subject to obeying the Guidelines and being personally responsible for their own behavior. Those who chose not practice their own self-control for whatever reason, political or otherwise, are actively engaging in aggressive behavior and therefore are subject to the same warnings and punishments as anyone else. We wholehearted apologize if you felt your reports were ignored. We do our best to investigate the intention of all actions, even if they do not outwardly align. It is all for the sake of making a safe, welcoming environment for all users. Rest assured that the staff's commitment to this is unwavering and absolute. Friendship is magic, as it should always be.
