  1. You did the pupils like they do in the show! That makes it even better!
  2. I'll be honest, that response made me laugh a little. Some cliches like everyone has said: - Alicorns - One human being in Equestria - Dark Back stories - Tragic Romances - Some over-done mental illness - Author over describing boobs or something like that. (Only if it's futa or something, though...) - Ponies transforming into humans or vice versa. - Gay Pairings (Don't get me wrong, all for gay pride, but there are a lot of these type of fan-fics in MLP.) Have fun writing this.
  3. Get better at... Stuff? Like hobbies such as art. Is that valid?
  4. Oh, I forgot to mention Stasis. That game was great (imo), and I'm usually not one for horror games.
  5. I'll sort this out into categories (for me): Best Narrative: Life is Strange Best Soundtrack: Life is Strange Best RPG: The Witcher 3 Best MMO/Multiplayer: Rocket League Best Indie: Her Story So yeah. In my opinion, 2015 wasn't a great year for video games.
  6. Any other people out there play Wildstar?

  7. Oh, thank god I'm not the only one noticing that.
  8. I generally stick to music from the late 60s to the early 2000s. Although there are exceptions for some bands like Syd Matters, Message to Bears or Foals for me. However, genre REALLY makes it up for me. With indie music, it's completely different. With punk and rock it's old stuff.
  9. Like a lot of people have said: games (generally Xbox One, though.), music CDs (fun to have whilst in the car.), and some misc stuff like film, pony merch, crap that I shouldn't really buy, ya know?
  10. Before watching: 1. Twilight 2. Pinkie Pie 3. Rainbow Dash 4. Rarity 5. Applejack 6. Fluttershy After watching: 1. Twilight 2. Pinkie Pie 3. Rainbow Dash 4. Applejack 5. Rarity 6. Fluttershy Yeah, not much changed. Twilight's still my favorite and Fluttershy is still my least favorite.
  11. Try taking a gander at this tutorial. Unless you already have. But, for me it has been pretty useful when it comes to drawing ponies.
  12. Walk around this neighborhood that's somewhat secluded. People usually hang ornaments on the trees that you can take, so I usually do that with some others and take pictures because... You know... Ornaments on trees can make a pretty shot.
  13. Hey doodbros, so I recently just created my OC's background in a journal-type style. I was wondering what parts I could work on (in terms of story and grammar). Also, it's the first time for me writing something like this that wasn't for academic purposes, so sorry if a lot of parts are jumbled and confusing. Link can be found here. Thanks!
  14. Skype name is cNahea. Feel free to chat about anything, I'll be playing video games if you decide to voice call most likely.

mega thread What are you thinking?

My butt is a little numb. I think I've been sitting for too long.
  16. For those of you who don't know what a easter egg is (not referring to the holiday): it's joke and/or reference that can either stand right out or be hidden. For me, it was in a more recent episode when Twilight was talking about recreating a moment (or something) and pinkie says something about time travel, dressed up as Marty Mcfly from Back to the Future. So, what are you favorites/ones you really like?
  17. The overall story was well structured and detailed in most aspects. However, this may be me reading incorrectly, but I was still slightly confused as to why Frost didn't want his parents/other ponies to know about his magic. Again, that might be me reading incorrectly. There is another tiny detail that really doesn't matter much. When the conductor speaks to Frost about getting his cutie mark, I would personally use Stallion instead of adult. But overall, your story is pretty good and again, you don't have to take any of my suggestions- they're really just opinions. Hope that helped!
  18. Watching YouTube. No regret.
  19. Poltergeist. It was... Not good imo.
  20. I just read the first and second chapter. So far, it seems pretty good, although as mentioned by Seraph, check the paragraph spacing. Also, there are a few smaller things I feel as though I should mention. In your first chapter, when you said "I grew up in there," it sounds rather odd to me when put with the sentence before that. I would say something like "I grew up there, in the highest of social circles." or "I grew up in the highest of social circles there." Additionally, I saw one or two grammar things involving comma's and colons. I believe at one point in your first chapter you use a colon, when I believe it should be a semi colon (because it's connecting to things that could be two different sentences*. But, I'm not sure about that one. As for the comma part, sometimes you put a ,and when there doesn't need to be one, so I would just check that. Also, for some dialogue, (unless you meant it to be like that) it should be ,"blah blah conversation." instead of : "blah blah blah conversation," if it's supposed to be like that, then ignore this part. Overall, it's mainly just grammatical things for me and proof-reading because at some points it was a little bit confusing. Sorry if I sound rude or something. Anyways, keep on writing!
  21. Inkscape is good in my opinion, for vectoring. I didn't like it all that much, it's really a matter of preference.
  22. Well, the main is flat a little bit. And the head is quite big compared to the rest of the body. Also, I would suggest studying a bit more pony anatomy and either go for the show's style or your own. Because to me, your overall pony looks a bit stretched out. Some proportions are also uneven, such as the legs/snout/mane/tail, I would just check those parts out. Overall, just study pony anatomy and practice! Sorry if I sound harsh.
  23. You're right. Let's bump it up to 25 hours a day. --- I usually take a picture of something/anything before I go to bed.
  24. . That's hardcore. -- Best thing for me: getting a gift of $120 worth of polaroid film-- which is 48 pictures worth, but still
