  1. Kevin Conroy's Batman was a memorable part of my childhood. Such an incredible voice actor. RIP
  2. It's actually closer to work than where I'm living now. And I remember it being cozy. But I don't know if the area itself is all that pleasant nowadays because I rarely drive through that part of the suburbs. So I'd have to look into it first.
  3. Even more Nightmare Night content? That makes me happy. And the garlic bit was awesome
  4. I was 6. It was only set up for game consoles and a combo VHS and DVD player. It was a boxy little Zenith. About 20" or so? It looked similar to this one:
  5. Leon Kuwata - Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
  6. Thinking of whether or not I should finally take the plunge and try NaNoWriMo this November. But I'm also starting a new job at the end of this month and training will take about a month. It's my first full-time job as a college graduate and I need to focus on making a good impression, as well as retaining what I learn.
  7. One Sword by Re:Make. Does anyone still listen to the old AcousticBrony songs? Those were great, but when they rebranded themselves I think they grew so much as songwriters.
  8. Just wanting to move out of this house. Which I can't do until my new job has allowed me to save enough to provide for myself. It'll pay good money. I'll be able to get my own health insurance (rather than my dad's) through a good benefits package before I turn 26, which is the cutoff here in the US for using a parent's plan. But I don't even start the month-long training until the end of this month. And I'd prefer to stick with it for at least a year before getting my own apartment just so I have solid evidence of steady income. Which means I still have to deal with the toxic narcissistic attitude I feel in this house almost every day, but at least there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
  9. I prefer albums to individual songs. And EPs can be very good so I don't count them out. Not that I dislike playlists or occasionally listening to a song on its own. But I love to just kick back and relax with an album. I've found that I appreciate songs even more when I consider them in the context of an album or EP.
  10. Nightmare Night episodes tended to be great in FiM and I'm glad the trend is continuing. Sunny as Nightmare Moon is very ironic but I think the costumes look great. I'm so glad Misty and Opaline showed up. 30 minutes of footage for episode 30? That's weird. Honestly, it's too much for a clip compilation, so I didn't bother to watch much after the proper episode concluded.
  11. 9 or so years ago, I thought the whole idea of bronies was cringe. Even now, I think there are some fans who deserve to be called cringe. But that just comes from my own preferences. I fell in love with anime and discovered that almost every cringeworthy thing about the MLP fandom is also an issue with anime fans. Sometimes it's even worse with them, depending on the series of course. So I passed the point of caring long ago.
  12. I can't really say. Not yet. G4 has overwhelmingly more content. TYT is fun but it's nothing too special. It's just a series of shorts and the closest equivalent in G4 is Pony Life. I don't go out of my way every time a new episode premieres. Not like FIM, which was a routine every weekend while a new season was airing. The movie felt fresh, but I think the MYM series will be the true test for whether or not G5 can match G4.
  13. Andrea in The Walking Dead. The Ferengi characters in Star Trek. Except for Quark in DS9. Summer in The Mentalist. Tonpa in Hunter x Hunter. Denethor in The Lord of the Rings. Reinhard in Re:Zero. Ana Lucia in Lost. I'm the third person to mention her in this thread and I think that says a lot about how unpopular she is
  14. TikTok. It's a cesspool of people doing stupid things and in my opinion, that now outweighs the genuinely entertaining or useful content. And the humor in more harmless content, free of petty drama or outright toxicity, often just isn't my thing. Deleted the app after a short while!
  15. Very fun episode. It feels a lot different from what we've been getting. If it was my decision, I would've chosen to use this plot for MYM instead. The pacing here is a little too quick for a 5 minute episode. It deserves to shine in a full-length episode.
  16. Annoyed by my mother's inability to prevent herself from taking stress out on others
  17. Season 3 episode 16 of The Walking Dead. It's safe to say I'm now hooked.
  18. I started in May or so of 2014. 16 years old.
  19. Queen Chrysalis didn't seem to try all that hard after she first swore vengeance against Starlight. I expected a little more than The Mean 6, even though it was a fun episode. Perhaps she could have kidnapped Starlight much earlier than The Ending of the End. Maybe Chrysalis could've tried to mess with her head in the same way that Tirek tempted Discord in Twilight's Kingdom. Speaking of Starlight Glimmer, I think she deserved a lot more backstory. Going from losing a friend to cult leader isn't quite believable without more context beyond just the glimpses we were given of that time gap. It's so drastic. And, come to think of it, Luna's fall from grace due to jealousy is the same way.
  20. The Walking Dead. I just finished season 2 episode 10, 18 Miles Out. I avoided The Walking Dead for a long time. The zombie apocalypse premise has never really been my cup of tea. Feels so overdone. But I'm enjoying the ride.
  21. I once played Gran Turismo 4 for a little over 24 hours straight. There's a Nurburgring 24 hour endurance race that can be completed in as little as 8 hours with the B-spec AI mode. But I wanted to do it more "properly" by completing the race in real time, by myself, without ever accelerating the elapsed time. So this was exhausting. I can't believe I wasn't delirious by the end of it. I won, but I'm never doing that again.
  22. I love it the way it is. And it's not quite the overtly "feminine" show one might expect. At least in terms of the stereotypes reinforced by previous generations, among many other cartoons.
  23. For many years to come. If not for the rest of my life. I'm nowhere near as active in brony circles as I once was. I don't watch FIM anywhere near as much as I used to. I don't consume fan content very often outside of occasional brony music from the good old days. I watch G5 but don't exactly keep up with it as faithfully as I did with G4. My tastes have evolved. My sense of humor has evolved. But I still love FIM. It's still up there with my favorite animated series of all time, even though I'm more of a weeb now. So I still consider myself a brony.
