  1. You could always make character files for MUGEN, although that's probably not quite what you're looking for.
  2. My question is, if Applejack is her mom, whose the dad? Yeehaw! Maybe Applejack is hiding it for a reason. Subliminal jokes aside, I don't think there's anything real to that argument. I think some people get high and come up with ideas they think have leads and this just happens to be one such idea.
  3. When did Babs seek anyone's attention by being a bully? I was under the impression is was a one time thing she jumped into in order to avoid victimization in a place she thought would be a safe haven. I would agree she did it for a certain kind of attention, or to avoid a certain kind of attention, but I wouldn't say she did so for attention in general. And as far as her manners go, nothing she did before and after that particular episode seemed to suggest she had bad manners. She wasn't a jerk until she felt threatened. On a separate note, I believe I once heard about Lauren having said Scootaloo's parents were always away on business, or some likeness, and that Scootaloo was just really good at eluding the babysitter. And onto the point of the post. I think it's feasible that gaining a cutie mark is related to knowing one's own purpose, or talent, and it is easy to see how having parents around would hasten this. Parents, usually, are among the biggest supporters of our lives. They are mentors, educators, and providers. Someone without that influence wouldn't have that support. Applejack and Big Mac are almost always busy, Granny Smith never wakes up from her nap. Sweetie Belle seems to live with Rarity primarily and Rarity is always busy with her lines. Scootaloo has Rainbow Dash, after a point, but I honestly have to question Rainbow Dash's influence on Scootaloo's self-realization quest. Apart from their immediate counterparts, all those three would have are their peers, the most prominent being Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon (who obviously are as helpful in this matter as would be a pile of sand in a greased baking tin) And then there's Cheerilee, who might have been a huge influence if the Cutie Mark Crusaders would have had a "Twilight Time" with her. But Cheerilee's schedule might not have allowed it, though she seems like she would be more than willing to act a mentor. And then there's Twilight whom I believe played a nice role in their cutie mark acquisition but it is probably a subtle and general role. Luna is probably one of the biggest aides (their selves notwithstanding) as she was able to directly see their fears and guide them through them. All in all, I think it's less related to biological relationships and more about the emotional ones.
  4. Some people have reported having changes in thoughts and behavior from hormone therapy. So there is a possibility of them changing as a person. However, I would still love the person I am with. But you don't have to be in a relationship with someone just because you love them; the definition of love isn't attraction. Or there would be a lot of incest going on. Like more than we already have. Alternately, nobody would love their family members or their friends. That aside, it would depend on if that person retained the qualities I fell in love with, or if I fell in love with that person's new ones. The question appears to focus on the body of the person, and if I would stay if the body was changed. And the answer is yes, because it is the effort of the relationship and the memories and the moments which I value most. Some people value sexuality. I just happen to not. Some people value physical qualities. I just happen to not. So I'm not here to say it's wrong to leave someone if they change their sex.
  5. I love a good duel as much as the next person (hell I dream of shooting lighting bolts from my face) but I don't want it to cost the show it's fidelity. Something along the lines of what's already happened would make the movie interesting. But, as was said, it can't just come out of nowhere. It needs to make sense; not just be there for the sake of being there.
  6. I never realized that before. I do believe at one point Fluttershy said she was a year older than Pinkie Pie
  7. Mountain Dew. Hands down. Though I do have a bit of a relationship with coffee
  8. This is like breeding horses. At least from my viewpoint. You watch it's birth. You watch it grow up, hell you raise it yourself. You laugh with it, or you cry with it, or both and more. It's an intimate dance throughout a forest of emotions. You walk through your character's shoes. And that character teaches you something about life, even though it was your own character from your own imagination. It comes to life. It has a real impact on you. Some people could sell their character. I will admit, it's a wonderful thing to contribute to the story. The show is where the inspiration came from. And to see it come full circle, to see your own character living in the world it was meant to, that's something special. As long as the character remained true to itself, and grew at least within reason, I could let my character leave the nest. But it wouldn't be about the cash, or the recognition. It'd be about the character. The story. I could do that.
  9. If there is any chance that a live action movie will increase the fan base significantly, they will probably do it. I think the majority of fans here know that it wouldn't be very good. First of all, in order to make the ponies look good you would need lots of special effects. And then there's magic; more special effects. It would be a waste of time. An animated film would be so much more practical.
  10. This is feasible I think. If you think about elements from a spiritual/classical standpoint, you have Earth, Fire, Water, and Air (also sometimes Life or Nature, Emptiness, Sound, and Light) And if you think about the qualities the three primary races have, they are akin to some of the elements. For example, earth ponies possess qualities of the element of Earth, such as strength. Earth represents other qualities such as growth, prosperity, stability and foundations; the earth ponies and their ability to grow food for the other races quite makes them the foundation. Pegasus ponies represent Air. Qualities of Air include thinness and motion. Thinness can be related to the pegasus' grace or apparent lightness, as they can stand on clouds. And most pegasus ponies are fast and active, Wonderbolts for example. Pegasus ponies are usually in charge of the weather and skies. Fire is often seen as a creative element, centered around the concept of power. It is an element of change. So there is your unicorn magic. And even the negative quality of tyranny is seen when magic gets into the wrong hands. In Equestria, it is almost always magic of one nature or another which brings about lasting change. All that leaves is Water, from the classical view. Maybe there's some seahorses or something.
  11. Spike was Dragon Lord. He is the savior of the Crystal Empire. Twice. He was potentially the first person to propose that changelings can change. What else? Lots of little things, nonetheless important. Even in real life, we have examples of people who can go big but don't want to. Spike could have gone big, and didn't want to. The only thing he seems to want is friendship to spread. And it already is. So I think he does have his purpose, or is at least satisfied with how things are going.
  12. Were you a Lance Corporal? As for me, assuming it's based on talent, mine would probably have to do with some sort of combo between illustration and literature. Maybe a brush and a pen crossed over.
  13. Hard to tell. I know I have a touch of all those elements, least Honesty. But I wouldn't be representative of any one of them. Now I can't say Magic, because tossing runes in a divination session doesn't constitute magick.
  14. Race/Species aside, if I got kissed by Twilight Sparkle I would enjoy it. Then I'd probably have a hit put out on me by Flash Sentry. And I would enjoy it.
  15. From what I hear, there's a bunch of people who expected the show to be a certain way and were disappointed upon discovering the show was geared towards a different audience. I, for one, find the show smashing!
  16. Well it was sort of a joke. Wehrmacht panzer crew would camouflage their tanks as hay bales. So essentially, by not being visible the hard part is out of the way. Drawing and detail on the hay bale would be watered down because it isn't the focus of the picture, even though it's the only thing you can see. And no, I am not a Sherman. I just have an.. "affinity" for Tigers..
  17. Currently looking for a job as a retail store stocker. But I intend to become an author or a graphic novelist.
  18. I saw that Tiger and I exploded. I could probably draw a panzer in a haystack. Since the subject is the panzer, I don't have to put too much effort in the hay cause it's background
  19. Fluttershy: "Kindness!" Pinkie: "Laughter!" Rainbow: "Loyalty!" Rarity: "Generosity!" Applejack: "Honesty!" "GO MAGIC!" Twilight: "By your elements combined, I am Major Magic!" Major Magic, she's our hero! Gonna take contempt down to zero, She's our friendship magnified, And she's fighting on Equestria's side! Major Magic, she's our hero, Gonna take contempt down to zero, Gonna help her put us under, Bad ponies who like to loot and plunder A voice that could pass for Discord: "You'll pay for this, Major Magic!" We're friends forever, You can be one too! 'Cause spreading friendship is the thing to do, Fighting and quarreling is not the way, Hear what Major Magic has to say: "FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC!" I'm not going to apologize for this. But let me know what you all could picture as a crossover, serious or not.
  20. Looks like Derpy is winning, not surprising though. Who even is Ace? I voted Minuette because I like her. Except for that one scene where there was three of her in one of Twilight's childhood memories, even though she was supposed to be one of Twilight's childhood friends yet she was a full adult. And there was three of her.
  21. 3284 pages and I can only advance three at a time. Instead of doing that, I'm going to post a comment, because I'm pretty sure, though not entirely positive, that it will jump to the last page so I can see who won! It looks like I can just click the button and jump to a page but it's too late. It's done!
  22. I can't agree that pansexuality is the same as bisexuality. It seems a lot of people identify gender with physical characteristics, and bisexuality with attraction to both "males" and "females" (any combination of genders is applicable, not exceeding numbering of two, hence 'bi') based on physical characteristics commonly attributed to those genders. There are people who have different physical characteristics from what traditional "males" and "females" would be considered to possess. Pansexuality is about finding attraction which does not stem from physical characteristics but from personal ones. There is the difference then, it only will exist separate so long as people consider gender a matter of the genitalia and such likenesses, as well as including societal expectations for genders. Should those disappear, then it is bisexuality that will no longer exist. Pansexuality is defined as "not limited in sexual choice with regard to biological sex, gender, or gender identity" Therefore, you could say a pansexual person is bi in that they would choose at least two separate genders for a sexual relationship, but you cannot wholly define a pansexual person as bisexual. And you cannot validly say that a bisexual person is pansexual; it exceeds the limitations of bisexuality. There may only be a fine line of difference in your eyes but written law capitalizes such things and could determine if certain people are fairly defended by law or not.
  23. Overlord sounds synonymous with "dark lord" I don't know why I have that in my mind. But it's there. Simply "Lord" would make sense to me though, depending on his position in society. Or they could call him "Rainbow Lord" to signify that he's happy inside. And also a lord.
  24. Well, considering the governmental forms all point to monarchy (I assume because of the target audience) I would say King/Queen is the right choice, the history of the Griffons considered. But as for who would be leader, it might be Gilda, if she's seen as the source or start of the fires of friendship (which I assume unite the Griffons "like never before") then they might make her leader. I believe that's how leaders are generally born is by uniting people. Of course there could be other Griffons not yet met that would make better candidates. I can't see it being Gabby but that might be simply because she doesn't have enough of an established history. But as someone else mentioned, they are Griffons and have for a long time kept to themselves and survived individually. So, even united, they might not need a leader. Then again, they are Griffons (irony) and there's bound to be some.. bartering issues.. and a legal system would alleviate those to an extent. But of course, the show's intended audience might not care, and so the writers just might never resolve the question.
  25. Is it canonically supposed to be an alternate universe where "all the ponies are human girls, same hearts and minds"? From what I've seen, it's just a different universe that just so happens to have a connecting gateway between itself and Equestria. Not all the characters are the same. I seem to recall someone on the staff saying they didn't just want to make mirror copies of all the Equestria ponies, so they made new ones. From a logical standpoint, that would mean it isn't a mirrored universe where everything is supposed to be the same. Of course, plot and canon proceed logic (a point I feel is strongly ignored by a multitude of fandoms) I agree with Twilight becoming corrupted by power because she did not have exposure to it beforehand, while Eq Twilight had always had a handle on things and a mentor for when she didn't. Twilight was downright manipulated into thinking she needed to win in order to get her.. recommendation? Or something. I don't remember what it was exactly. But Principal Queen B**** could probably push anyone over their limit, except maybe Fluttershy's parents but that's another topic.
