  1. Alicorn. Best of both worlds. ...Sorry, earth ponies... Having to choose only one, I'd go with a unicorn, though. I don't fancy putting non-edible things in my mouth, so writing would suck if I couldn't be a unicorn. Also, for more powerful unicorns, I'm sure they could teach themselves to fly without wings. Probably wouldn't be as fast, but still, flying's flying. It just seems like life would be really inconvenient being a pony would can't utilize magic.
  2. I thought we could bring up and discuss any inconsistencies we find in the show. I don't mean this in a way that's knocking the show, and pointing out flaws, but rather, I'm interested in these kinds of things. Secrets, goofs, glitches, all that stuff. And I thought other ponies might be, too. If you find talk like this too picky, though, you're under no obligation to reply. I look forward to things you all have noticed A few that I noticed recently: Scootaloo can't fly yet, and yet, Pound Cake (Mr. and Mrs. Cake's son) can. I realize that two foals may be developmentally different, as children are. However, this seemed like a huge age gap. We don't know Scootaloo's age, but I think it's safe to presume that compared to humans, she's elementary-school-aged, putting her at 7-12 years old. Pound Cake, on the other hand, we first see flying all over the place as young as a month old. That means that their age difference is new born to, at least, 7 years old, which are leaps and bounds away from each other, developmentally speaking. We might not know how pegasi grow, but it would seem logical, for any species, that the older ones have more ability than the younger ones. In the episode "Call of the Cutie" (S01E12,) Apple Bloom is one of the only foals in her class not to have a cutie mark. Toward the end of the episode, she meets Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo for the first time. However, we see in later episodes (such as Hearts and Hooves Day (S02E17) and Ponyville Confidential (S02E23)) that all three go to the same school. I suppose it could be argued that Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo went to different schools before then, but all three seem to live in Ponyville and knew Diamond Tiara before her party. Ponyville is kind of a small town, and doesn't seem to have more than one school, and as a native Ponyvillian, it would seem unlikely that they didn't live in Ponyville before meeting Apple Bloom. Also, it seems very unclear where Sweetie Belle lives. The only time it seems explicitly implied is in the episode "Sisterhooves Social" (S02E05,) where Rarity is made to take care of Sweetie Belle by her parents, implying that she isn't Sweetie Belle's primary guardian/care-taker. However, we see implications that she may live with Rarity, as seen in "Ponyville Confidential" (S02E23) where Sweetie Belle leaves her saddlebag on the floor at Rarity's boutique, and also is seen spending time in a room that seems to be hers, or at least, designated for her use.
  3. They might have scheduled the clouds to be there for the time being, but then, for Celestia's arrival, wanted a nice clear day for her.
  4. Personally, I find it much more offensive that when presented with a cartoon character who's klutzy, googly-eyed and has a goofy voice that the first place people go to is "mentally retarded." Does anyone else feel like that? As for the voice itself, it's not suited to her character, especially since we've all heard the real thing. The original voice just fit so much more, and made her come across as more innocent. One could just as easily make the argument that the new voice perpetuates the dumb blonde stereotype. But you won't hear people complaining about that, will you?
  5. Ariel. What can I say? I got a thing for mermaids.
  6. I think it's important to note that Applejack mentions that they need the cider sales in order to have money through the winter. If they were to share their profit and apples 50/50, they'd be run out of business. In fact, it seems like Sweet Apple Acres is always in some financial trouble, so it's possible that if they shared any of their profit, business or sales that they could go out of business, and not be able to support the farm. Anyway, Flim and Flam's intent was not to share with the Apples. It was to run them out of business. So if they'd conceded at all, they might have been swindled or taken over by the Flim Flam Brothers.
  7. I've never really cared much for the Mayor, Prince Blueblood, Trixie or really, any of the foals that aren't a part of the CMC. But, I can't really say anyone from the mane 6. Though there may be some I like more than others, I feel bad saying one is my "least favorite," because I like them all so much. So, since the poll won't let me vote without answering that question, I opt out of voting.
  8. A few hundred yen, some receipts and a Band-Aid wrapper.
  9. I can't say I'd want one, but if it happened, I'd watch it, just to see how it is.
  10. MLP and Princess Debut, which is a game for the DS, for those of you who don't know. Strange, I know, but I was just thinking the other day that there's someone for everyone. Fluttershy and Liam; Rarity and Cesar; Twilight and Kiefer; Pinkie Pie and Vincent; Rainbow Dash and Luciano; and Applejack and Klaus. It just works out so perfectly. And as for the princess... hm... well, no need for her. We can lock her in the broom closet 'til we're done. *is weird* Nice, but I vote for Rarity being Miss Scarlet.
  11. In my eyes, there are no game systems outside Nintendo... And, maybe Sega.
  12. Actually, two of the most popular ships are Fluttershy x Big Macintosh and Spike x Rarity. Also, you have to consider the ratio of male to female characters in the show. I don't know exact numbers, but I'd be willing to bet there are at least 4 females for every male? And especially when you consider the very main characters, Spike's really the only male character. So it's really no wonder why they all get paired together.
  13. Banned for invalidating my post, and making me edit it to be accurate.
  14. This game is cheesy, in the sense that it's trying to make a statement, but the statement makes absolutely no sense. It's bad. It's just... bad. The concept is dumb, and there's no advancement. So you play for 2 seconds, and you're done. Not to mention the controls suck. Also, have I ever mentioned it's the goriest thing I've ever seen? I mean, I realize that's what they were going for, but why would you make a game that would deter people further from your message? That music, also, haunted me for weeks. Creepy. Worst. Game. Ever.
  15. They're also extremely deadly. In Japanese, their name means "Giant Sparrow Wasp." I've actually seen some in captivity. Scary things... Breast milk tastes different in the beginning of breast feeding than toward the end of breast feeding. Pink (or more accurately, magenta) isn't a color in the light spectrum. Things that are magenta in color give off both red and violet wavelengths. With both signals going into our brains, they interpret this as the color we call magenta. Beethoven liked strong coffee, and counted exactly 60 beans to the cup every time he made some.

Ooh! Me, me, me!! And the cutie mark, cuz it's kinda covered: If possible, something that's not in profile? That's the one problem I've had with this creator. That's really my only request. Personality's kind of like a mix of Fluttershy and Twilight, with a bit of Rainbow Dash's tomboyishness thrown in, if that helps at all.
  17. 10/10, you made me go dyslexic for a minute, for which I was going to give a low rating, until I read the word "chaos." Brilliant.
  18. I didn't know you could burn juice...

    1. Typhoid Libby

      Typhoid Libby

What juice are we talking here?

And how long has it been fermenting?

    2. Marshmallow

      Marshmallow

      You can.

If it's a very oily juice.

Or if your name is Sweetie Belle.

  19. I'm always moved by this song. I even took the time to learn the words, even thought I don't know any Italian. I also like this singer. His name is Grégory Lemarchal. Unfortunately, he passed away very young, and before I'd ever heard of him.
  20. Those were my 3 best takes. I wasn't sure if you wanted the whole song or just the Fluttershy part, but I did the Fluttershy part, because it was quick. If you want the whole song, let me know, but it'll take a bit longer to record.
  21. I guess, if you like a show centered around ponies, you probably like animals. And if you like animals, it must disturb you to see one die. And if you're disturbed about something, you probably wanna talk about it. And what better place than a forum where people share your feelings about animals? Comes full circle.
  22. I can't really relate, as I have absolutely zero empathy for bugs, but I think it was better to put it out of its misery. And for all you know, it could've already been dead, in which case, it wouldn't really have mattered anyway. So, yeah, no matter if it was still alive or not, probably a good move.
  23. Roundhouse kick my boss in the face.
