    Sore and exhausted. Work has been killing me this week

    Some leftover beef liver and bacon. Was gonna eat it for dinner but decided to cook some fish instead

    Absolutely not and I'm doing something about it. I've done a 2 1/2 week transition into keto and switched over to "ketovore" full time about 2 weeks ago. This is a meat heavy version of the regular keto diet. I seem to be responding well to it as I've lost 17lbs this month. Being overweight with my family's genetics pretty much means suffering with complications of diabetes til death, which is usually early 70's at best. It's almost a mathematical certainty, but by losing the weight, I have a chance at having a long life with few health problems.

    Eh, newer operating systems don't excite me much. I was perfectly happy with Windows XP during its heyday. lol It's nice to see Aero make a return tho. I remember it from Vista/7 and liked the aesthetic of it.

    Work was pretty uneventful. I picked some wild Huckleberries along the creek bank earlier this evening and went for a walk afterwards. Also, gazed at Venus well after sunset but couldn't stay out for long cuz of the mosquitos

    I was watching Venus along the western horizon. Had to come inside cuz the skeeters were getting pretty bad

    Today was a pretty good for a Monday. Heard several Bob White quail this morning while walking to the car and picked about a pint of wild Huckleberries earlier this evening. Also enjoyed watching Venus on the western horizon, at least til the skeeters showed up.  :sealed:

    Really amazed at how these bushes are loaded with berries, especially considering their small size. Most are about 2ft tall or less.

    Yep. I seem to have a special connection to "Come as you are" by Nirvana. Usually feel better after blasting the guitar solo a few times

    Gaming will be far more advanced than anything I have. Other than a few modern platforming games on my pc, I'm still stuck in the PS2 era. 50 years from now, we might get fiber internet. Nah, probably not

    I wanted to but the fact that you have to sign in with a social media account. like Facebook. was a deal breaker for me

    I tether off my phone, so technically wireless. Other than satellite and Verizon 4g lte, there are no other options for internet service here.

    I was 28 when I joined the forums, but that was 3 years ago. Yeah, time flies

    Broccoli is one. Never would touch it until earlier this year when I had some broccoli cheddar soup. Now, I eat steamed broccoli.

    I drink a glass of sparkling water everyday. I don't drink regular sodas and only very rarely drink diet sodas

    Gonna saute some shrimp in real butter for dinner. Afterwards, I'll likely go for a walk then chill on the back porch and listen to the sounds of nature.

    I really want to go swimming but the creeks are up from yesterday's rain

    Picked some wild Huckleberries this morning to go with my brunch, along with a couple blueberries.

    Shouldn't increase my carbs too much  :mlp_icwudt:

    I still do tho I have a weird relationship with video games. Interest comes and goes and I can go thru a video game drought that last several years

    I rewatched a few MLP episodes last week while out sick. I don't really watch much TV

    No, I'd like to get an antibody test done before I consider that route. I've been exposed multiple times by family members that were sick with covid and may have already had it, so I may have antibodies. I plan to get a test done at my next doctor's appointment.
