So many characters in recent finales
Sepul-Coloratura replied to heavens-champion's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
The writers are not good. That's why. And it's not only the writer's fault. It's someone who's in charge's fault. They don't know what to do with the main characters, so they multiply them. After doing that, the writers weren't organized together so they make unorganized stories. They don't know what to do with all the characters. -
Who was the first MLP character you discovered?
Sepul-Coloratura replied to DivineMist1000's topic in Sugarcube Corner
Mine was Applejack. A human version in a vulgar depiction.... Later on I figured out she was Applejack. (It was a very well drawn tho.) Twilight and Pinkie Pie were somewhere around then. So it could be one of them that I saw first. I saw them on the internet. (They looked just like in the show.) Later on, I looked up about the main characters and got interested in the show. -
What rock band would be their favorite? Give me some of your ideas. Twilight Sparkle : Dream Theater Applejack : Grand Funk Railroad Rainbow Dash : Discharge Pinkie Pie : Municipal Waste Rarity : Yes Fluttershy : Sodom Princess Celestia : Captain Beefheart Luna : Rush Spike : Genesis Starlight Glimmer : Voivod Sunset Shimmer : King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard Maud Pie : The League of Crafty Guitarists Applebloom : Radiohead Sweetie Belle : Tool Scootaloo : Motorhead Granny Smith : Lamb of God Big Mac : Dance With the Dead Trixie : Electric Wizard Mayor Mare : Napalm Death

Interspecies Shipping
Sepul-Coloratura replied to Wonderbolt Slipstream's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I have a horrible headcanon that ponies DNA can combine with any spices in the universe. It's like the Xenomorph, but in a passive way. Ponies are designed to sexually appeal to any creatures. (That's why so many humans are fixated to them.) So, any other male creatures can mix with female ponies genes. By mating. (Of course ponies reproduce themselves also.) There is also another headcanon where I saw somewhere else, using heart's desire can help make interspecial babies. -
Oone of the thing is that of My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic, which is a kids show, but it also has a deep understanding of human psyche and character archetypes. Let's see this one. In this episode, Shining Armor, who is the captain of the royal guard and the protagonist's brother, sets up a shield. And when he doe's it, He shoots up with his magical horn. And every time he does that, he has this-this terrible headache. Foreshadowing that there already is something wrong inside the castle. So, the round barrier is his consciousness - his brain. What just he did is keeping the barrier updated to keep it up to his consciousness. And the only ones who can get through it is his friends, family and not hostile guests. In real life, the ones you trust and love can get closer to you. No doubt about that. Later on, it is revealed that - his own fiancee was the enemy in disguise. She was a Changeling. Witch is a creature capable of changing it's form and feed off love from the others. Early on, when the main protagonist - Twilight Sparkle catches something wrong is going on with her. She sees her brother suffering on headache and his fiancee - Princess Cadence tries to fix him with magic. It fixes his pain immediately, but instead, it turns him into a dummy who follows her orders blindly. She just made him accept her. So, the changeling fooled everyone in this show. And this part is also about how to find your true partner in life. What Queen Chrysalis - it's a kid's show, princesses are the good ones, queens are evil, there is also a study on literary archetypes about this. it's quite fascinating by the way - the queen of all changelings does is similar to what real manipulative women do to men. She didn't love him. She wasn't what she make him think she was. She used him as a tool but kept him under control so he couldn't even doubt it. It's - it's brutal! It totally is! She reduced his migraine but it was only because she was the cause of the pain. Deep down inside, he knew there was something wrong. And what Chrysalis did was to get inside his consciousness. Get inside his brain. Because when you love someone, It's not just an expression where their souls bonded. They say 'they became one' for a reason. So you get vulnerable to what you combine yourself with. So, this manipulative woman, is betraying someone who trusts her. Someone very vulnerable. Later on, the barrier breaks. He's defenceless against hostile force both mentally and physically. So the Changelings invade Canterlot. All the good guys, roughly speaking, is captured. what could they do? Well, fortunately, they did find the real Princess Cadence early on. But they are all locked in the room, listening the villains monologue. What she does is also a metaphor of finding true love. And it's a kid's cartoon and has not much time to explain everything about love, but anyway, she wakes him up. And she helps him find himself. When he wakes up, they confirm their true love and cross horns. There is lots of phallic metaphor about horns throughout literature over history though. And this is not a lustful indiscreet activity. It is a spiritual combination of the two. And a very divine act - almost a ritual. There actually are many, many literature and cultural conception about how a physical combination of two also means that of the souls. So, they cross horns, and they produce this aura of love. And the aura explodes into a giant light and expels all the changelings. This is way more powerful than the magical barrier we just saw back then. So Shining Armor regained his power to see true love and fake ones. He is now himself again. They did this by finding true love. So the true love of your life would not distract but help you see the truth. Help you see clearly between good and bad. And give you strength.

① These two pictures are quite self explanatory. ▲ ② But this one with applejack's eyes, I don't see her eyebrows anywhere. ▲ ③ In this picture, Applejack's eyebrows are there. ▲ ④ Twilight's eyebrows disappear and reappear. ▲ ⑤ In this one, Twilight's eyebrows aren't there. ▲ So, my only explanation is ponies eyebrows and eyelids move separately. They can move wherever they want and sometimes merge completely with the eyelashes. Sometimes eyebrows can move so fast and accurate, they sync their movement with the eyelashes while blinking.

Early Seasons vs. Newer Seasons?
Sepul-Coloratura replied to TheAnimationFanatic's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
If you are watching newer seasons, it means you already liked old seasons. I like the things happening in Ponyville scale. I like the feeling if you were to visit Carousel Boutique, you would see Rarity sewing. I like the feeling where you could meet Rainbow Dash busting clouds in the sky in Ponyville. If you visit Sweet Apple Acres, you would see Applejack bucking apples. I like the moment when Applejack and Rainbow dash running alongside together, Fluttershy having tea parties with her animals, Rarity and Applejack having sleepover on Twilight's place, Pinkie Pie passing by and saying hi to her friends. I like that there is not very much world ending crisis happening. I like that the six ponies only cared about their daily lives and not much being a special force. I like seeing a change of seasons and weather controlled by ponies. I like to see Apple families traditions. I liked when there is an issue in Ponyville, Twilight would calm the ponies and come up with the solution. I liked that going to Canterlot was a big deal.... I like some bright ideas in new seasons, but you can't win the old season's charm. I also think the older seasons had more unexpected funny facial expression. Nowadays, ponies shapes have a very precise and consist base and it is fine but somehow loses the old charm. (See Lesson Zero and how much various facial expression she makes.) -

Why does Equestria Girls get so much hate?
Sepul-Coloratura replied to Dashy 4 Ever's topic in Equestria Girls
I know there are people who like/hate Equestria Girls for stupid reasons. Well to be fair, It is an awful movie. I'm talking about it's story, directing, character design. After all these days, the character design is still bad, plots are repetitive(and still bad), and they are all sequel to Equestria Girls. They put the wrong button in the first place. I like the shorts tho. And also, using "Haters gonna hate." attitude to wipe out reasonable critiques alongside unreasonable hate can be dangerous. -

Favorite Songs From The Show
Sepul-Coloratura replied to Flutterguy1's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Mine is definitely Smile. It made me a fan of the show. My other pick is 99 Buckets of Oats, which I like to hear the full version. Equestrian national anthem is good, The magic Inside would undeniably be one of everyone's favorites. Smile The Magic Inside Equestria national anthem You're In My Head Like a Catchy Song A True True Friend Pinkie's Present Pinkie Pie's short songs 99 Buckets of Oats Generosity Let the Rainbow Remind You The Goof Off I'll Fly Raise this Barn Find the Music in You Friendship is Magic Winter Wrap Up Art of the Dress Rules of Rarity Love's in Bloom Flawless The Seeds of the Past Flutterguy's Evil Enchantress Morning in Ponyville The Perfect Stallion Celestia's Ballad What I like about Pinkie Pie and Rarity's songs are that the song itself is so much like the character, It portraits the character perfectly. -
Hi. I'm new. I like having discussion about the show, sharing ideas and stuff. I feel I'm way too late to the whole thing but I'm glad I'll still get to wait for the next episode. Feel free to ask anything. I'm also planning a MLP related music album. Contact me if you are interested in making the artwork. (Or can anyone tell me where to find some artist for the album artwork?) Thank you.
