  1. Devil May Cry. It looks cool, but I just don't find the gameplay very enjoyable.
  2. Well that didn't age well.

  3. I have a bad habit of spending money on things I don't need, but I've been getting better about that in recent years.
  4. I lift three days a week, and my job is pretty physically demanding, too. Slinging around +50 pound packages for a few hours is rough. Not that the exercise helps there's barely a strand of muscle on my body. Fuck genetics, honestly.
  5. Montana, without a doubt. Specifically the western corner where all the forests and national parks are. Summers aren't too hot, gun laws hardly exist, the population density is low, there's mountains, and it's beautiful. Oh, and there's no sales tax. What's not to love?
  6. Sister where you go, I can't follow Always in my heart, though far apart
  7. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.
  8. You ever get the feeling something is horribly wrong, yet everything looks to be going just fine?

I hate that feeling. Of course my stupid paranoid brain is not going to let me think about anything else.

Being someone with crippling anxiety and a way too active mind, I know this feeling all too well. I get worried over so many random things usually based on "what ifs".

  9. Have acquired bike

  10. "For this $60/month loan, we need your excess monthly income to be $700."

    Bruh.

    Go fuck yourself.

  11. Earlier today. I'm a really envious person. It hurts when someone puts in less work than you or isn't as good at something as you are, yet they get rewarded and you don't.
  12. I don't know. It's either this or the original Warrior Cats forums, back in its glory days when there were more than ten members online at any given moment. I have a lot of really good memories of that place, and it's one of the reasons I've grown to prefer forums over Discord and other similar stuff. Then again, this place is really special to me, too. I'll just say they're tied for best.
  13. $1M is waaaay more than I could ever use I guess I'd probably buy a decent house, a reliable motorcycle, and a whole bunch of tools and supplies for my fursuit making business (and immediately quit my day-job). That would probably be $100k or less. Then I'd set aside a chunk for savings and probably throw the rest into a certificate of deposit or a money market account or something. I could also do stocks, but I don't like the risk associated with that.
  14. 17. Senior year of high school was my favorite year of my life so far.
  15. Depends on what it's for. Usually I only have peanut butter with a PB&J sandwich, and in that case I prefer chunky. It's nice to have a little texture rather than just a mouthful of mush.
  16. If all you're gonna do is browse the internet, you can easily get away with spending $400 or less, or half that if you go the used route and don't mind doing a little work. Or just buy a Chromebook for $250. With the silicon shortage and other stuff going on right now, computers and computer parts are a bit more expensive than they should be. Definitely look for a computer that has a quad core CPU and 8 GB of RAM. For internet stuff and watching videos, that's all you'll ever need. You could probably get away with less RAM, but I wouldn't recommend it. Oh, and my biggest tip is to get something with an SSD / solid state drive. If it says it has a hard drive or an HDD, avoid it. Even something brand new will feel slow if it has a hard drive. Or, you could replace the hard drive in your current computer with an SSD instead of buying a whole new computer, or have someone else do it if you don't feel comfortable (it's the easiest thing to replace on a computer. Plenty of walkthroughs on YouTube). My parents' computer is over ten years old and is still very useable because of that. That being said, if your computer is junk, don't bother. Fast storage won't do much if everything else is slow.
  17. Deep breath.

I will not be toxic. I will not get political. I will not say something I'll regret later. I'll just have to put my dream off for yet another year and work that much harder to make it come true.

Ugh. Why does the world suck so much?

ikr? I'm tired of this too. :worry:

  18. Won't be getting a bike this week because my DMV appointment for my license took nearly four hours and the dealership was about to close when I finished :Cozy: But at least the dealer was kind enough to put the bike I wanted on hold for me, which was nice. He also said most of the good credit companies are closed on Saturday, so I guess it kind of ends in my favor, even if I do have to wait a bit longer.

I think I may have found one of the fabled morally straight salespeople.

  19. Wasn't gonna finance a motorcycle, but I was recently informed how essential a credit score is for getting a loan on a house, and I have barely any credit right now. I was also planning on getting an older bike, but considering there's like no used bikes in dealerships around here, I guess I'm going the new route (well, there are plenty of used Harleys, but I'm not gonna pay $25k for a used bike just because the gas tank says 'Harley Davidson' on the side. Harleys are built like junk and horribly under-featured anyway :derp: fight me).

So uh, if all goes well, I should have this baby on Saturday. Not quite what I originally had in mind, but it's growing on me. Hard to argue with the $7.6k msrp, too (ignoring the fact that the bike I was originally looking at costs just over $2k, and doesn't have any dealer's fees or sales tax, other than what I'd pay at the DMV :okiedokieloki:).

Is that just to build credit?

It's gonna be my main (and only) mode of transportation, so it's not just for credit. Credit is just a little bonus for when I eventually get a loan on a house, and it also allows me to get a better bike than I otherwise might be able to. As much as $7k hurts, if it's a reliable vehicle for the rest of my life, then it's definitely a worthwhile investment.

Although, I'm not gonna go for that one anymore. I visited that dealership and don't really feel comfortable working with them. There is that other dealer selling the Suzuki S40 I mentioned, and they seem much more trustworthy. They've also got some other good bikes I'm gonna look at. Not to mention the price is way more palatable.

Do you have a good job? Putting money into a IRA and 401k? Good to do that early.

  20. Wait part two of Re:Zero's second season started airing all the way back in January? Why am I always late to this stuff

Well, at least I've got a few episodes to binge now.

  21. Just rode a motorcycle for the first time today, and it was a lot of fun! Took me a couple hours to get used to using the clutch (my scooter is automatic, so it's a bit of a change), but it started to feel pretty natural by the end of the day. Stalled the engine more times than I would care to admit :lie:

I'll get my license this weekend (well, my certification, which basically acts as a license until I can get an appointment at the DMV), and I should have a bike insured and registered late next week. I'm looking at an '81 Virago right now, which will hopefully still be for sale next week.

      :yay:

My scooter is automatic as well, but I used to have a manual gear moped back in the day, and there was just more driving feedback (when you get used to it).

I'd be scared to death of riding one of those.

You definitely feel more connected to the road with a manual transmission. Helps you stay focused, which is really important for not dying on the road.

It is a little intimidating at first, especially when you're taking tight turns, but it's not so scary after a while. I'm actually more scared of driving cars than I am of riding bikes, oddly enough. Just feels more natural. I never could get the hang of using a steering wheel, being off-center in the car, or the sheer size of the thing.

Having an MSF coach there the whole time I'm learning helps too, I guess.

  22. I used to eat super fast, but I've kind of slowed down in recent years because it was contributing to my stomach issues. I'm probably about average now, unless I'm eating around other people. Then I eat really slow because I'm trying to eat quietly and not make a mess.
