Fun and cute episode which I really like. I think many people are sad that it has never been answered if these two families are related or not. For me it's not a big problem because I share AJ's opinion on that it doesn't matter what a books says or not. In my second watch I understood the Twilightliscious reference from AppleBloom -

I also feel sorry for her. She was raised under these circumstances and it's really hard for a child raised with these values to know better. Children learn their values from their parents first and then later from society. So I feel sorry for her. The moment in the episode "flight to the finish" still stings very much though. Poor Scootaloo -
As my fav. villain I would pick Tirek. He's is really dangerous because he has not only the potential for becoming insanely strong but also is smart enough to reach that. He also knows when he needs to be smart. He has also the right attitude for a favored villain. And his voice actor did really awesome work On the second place: Cozy. Honestly this power hungry and insane little one was really something to witness and experiencing .. She's cunning, manipulative and insanely smart. I also think her VA did fantastic work Third spot: I want to say Pony of shadows but we only had him for one final. I think he must shares this place with her Queen. -
Did Starlight replace Spike in the later seasons?

No, not in slightest. Spike and Starlight are two very different characters with different roles and they interact also in their unique way wit the other characters. So I really don't see where Starlight replaced Spike at any point. -

I agree. I never understood why so few people like him anyway. Nothing is perfect, but as @JMTV99 said he's fine. He has advantages and disadvantages, moments where he shines bright and other where he doesn't like any other character on the show. In my opinion Spike is fine the way he is. -

I also love them. This being said I also think there are some which are better done than others. For me the best redemption would be of Discord followed by Starlight. From the given option in the poll I would say the weakest or worst one is of Sunset Shimmer. I don't hate it or anything but I think it's weakest one of this list. -

Zootopia; Legitimately Stellar, or Overrated?

Legitimately Stellar and I really enjoyed watching it back then. I was really impressed by the world building. The basic idea/conflict between prey a predators in this modern city was really well done and fleshed out. Back when this came out I also read a longer article about what the creators original intended and it was really really dark for this kind of movie. What was also quite memorable from this movies for me (I haven't seen it in ..3 years) was Judy being confronted between her ideals and the reality of life in the city. -
Nowadays really rarely. Before I had my music playlist and services I listened to it much more often.

Like the most people I enjoyed this episode. There are other MLP episodes out there with a deeper and more complex plot, but in my opinion it's also completely fine for this show. Especially if one considers that it's directly before the exciting Season 5 final. I think both songs are good while the second one is of course the far more emotional one. Considering Lena Hall is voice actress/singer behind Rara is also not a surprise. So I think it's a good episode even if it's not for everyone. -
Fun and good episode especially for fans of Maud. It was interesting to learn that Pinkie sense runs in the Pie family and seeing a Rarity which gets very frustrated and then completely Pinkie and breaks the 4th Wall. The character contrasts here goes very well with the progress of their moods. -
In my humble opinion one of the weaker premiers, but certainly still a good episode. I certainly like how Starlight's character was build up and her past was brought into this episode. Many people tend only to have one certain point of view to events and are not able to think about other point of views. This lead always to very one sided views and opinions. This is of course something which could be explored for a whole season but I appreciate what was in this episode. I still haven't figured out what the deal with Flurryheart being born as an Alicorn means. I guess there are at least theories behind it. If I'm not mistaking I saw Thorax in this episode shortly before the second episode closes. -
