  1. Don't TL;DR this cause then the title wouldn't make as much sense I was playing a song on my violin, a rather moody one. After I was done, my violin teacher said to me: "real professional violinists think of a story when they play the song." He told me to think of a malancholy situation while I play the song, since there wasn't enough feeling to it. The night after that I practiced the song again. I remembered my teacher's advice. As I played, I imagined a funeral, the corpse surounded by a crowd of friends and family members. I found that picturing a real funeral wasn't easy, my mind morphed into other thoughts easily. Something sad... The first situation that came up in my mind was still a funeral. I then thought: How about a cartoon funeral? So I imagined another dead guy with his sad friends and family next to him, but that was hard to imagine too, especially while playing the violin. I thought some more, and naturally, the thought hit me: cartoon=poniez I like thinking about ponies whenever I can (who doesn't?). So thats what I used. Now I needed to find an old pony. Easy. Granny Smith. I imagined Granny Smith on her death bed. (OMG *sniff this is more depressing than a real funeral! ) To my surprise, visualizing MLP was so much easier than the other things I had tried. Then I had another idea: I am Big Macintosh playing the violin in Granny Smith's funeral, with LOTS of other ponies watching, so I better play good. I thought of this situation everytime I practiced that song. I felt that the piece, with a sad storyline envolved, was more moving and sounded much better than I used to play it. When my violin teacher came today, I played the song once more. He was VERY impressed. In fact, I was so damn good (I generally don't brag but I must now) that he said: "Out of the 7-8 years I have taught you, this lesson is my favorite lesson. You have never played so well before." I had emotionally moved an old man (my violin teacher is 80 yrs old) with my playing, for the first time, and I was quite proud. MLP had always been more of a distraction, a hobby that gets me sidetracked. However, this time it helped me achieve something I could never do before: play the violin with emotion. It worked like magic. Has MLP helped anypony with achievements throughout their life? It certainly has for me. *On side note big thanks to Granny Smith for dying so many times in my mind lol

  4. If this comes true, then it is the greatest prophecy by mankind. Even though there has been some scientific evidence that something could happen (excluding Nibiru theory and other superstitious crap) I think that it is just the end of a calendar cycle. I think people made a big deal out of it because the calendar cycle started so long ago that people misinterpret the date 2012.12.21. According to some ancient text from a stone inscription some taken knowledge will be returned. However I don't know much about that. Oh I read about this the other day: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2012/01/pictures/120103-end-of-world-maya-calendar-apocalypse-nasa-new-year/#/comet-impact-earth_9709_600x450.jpg
  5. All the stuff from Sugarcube Corner I wonder what Zecora's potions and soups taste off.
  6. I started talking to my mom but it was this other woman, who was dressed and looked nothing like my mom. She glared at me as though I was mentally disabled, and walked away. Then I found my real mom.
  7. Same here! On a car, I also imagine a dude outside running, and dodging all sorts of obstacles. Sometimes that someone is super Mario/luigi, or some guy on a skateboard. One thing that I do without thought is that when I'm walking beside a person, and talking to that person, I tend to walk towards them gradually, pushing them to one side. It has been like that for many years. I guess I can't walk straight. People usually blink automatically, however, sometimes I forget to blink my eyes, especially when I'm daydreaming (all the time). It looks like I'm staring at something, hard. However, I'm not really seeing anything. I sit really still, and I forget to blink my eyes, and occassionally, I forget to breath for a little while. It looks like I'm frozen in time. However, I can't really help it, I do this every now and then. It just comes and goes. When I place a Lego minifg head with a face, on its body, the face HAS to be EXACTLY in the middle, symmetrical. One eye has to be on one side of the body and the other eye has to be on the other, and the mouth is split in half by a imaginary symmetrical line. Sometimes I spend very long periods of time just adjusting a Lego minifig head, and if it isn't the way I want it, I go crazy. When I'm walking on a sidewalk with a mosaic pattern, I tend to walk on one specific color or shape the whole way I only wear polo shirts in public. All the time, 4 seasons. I never wear a T-shirt. Once in a while I jerk my neck hard in one direction, as though I'm doing a tango dance. However it is to relieve my neck muscles. It looks weird in public; I'm walking and my head suddenly bobs side to side, the left and right. My handwriting is very terrible, almost non legible. However, I like my handwriting, as I am able to read it easily. What I really hate is very neat handwriting. It looks like printing, but its not, but its alined and neat, but kind of not. It drives me crazy. Either type your words or write messy.
  8. Well if your dad happens to disapprove of the show, show him this: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203707504577012141105109140.html . It should help
  9. Don't worry, within the next half century the whole world population would become bronies... Anyways happy for you that your dad stopped teasing you about your interests! I still think he should be more supportive though. After all, your his child!
  10. Once again, the magic of friendship works! Colton, glad you're here with us!
  11. Back in the fifth grade, I would once in a while hear some people gasp: "OMG u just swor! or "U just sayd teh F word!" I had no idea what they were talking about, what swearing was, or what the F word was. I thought swearing was something so serious and people would get into big trouble for it. Now, profanity slips out of my mouth all the time
  12. : magic books and wizard staff/wand : diamond tip arrows : lasso/rope : cake catapult! : animal stampede (like a huge swarm of animals to fight with her) : dual swords (can't thinkg of anything else either)
  13. I've had a few pony related dreams as well, but I can only remember one of them. I wasn't in Equestria. Nor was I a pony. But I saw Rarity and Fluttershy. Did they talk to me? No. Did they do anything? No. All it really was was a quick flash by of pictures. Quite banal a dream I'll say. However, in the same dream, I realized I was force sensitive( which in starwars means that I'm capable of using the force.) I picked up flowers from pots and other objects using the force. Oh boy I felt so powerful. As I stuck my arm out and formed a U shape with my hand, I felt a great surge of energy coming out of my hands, and I had full control over that energy. Anyways the dream lasted a while and I did the Jedi mind trick on a wiener dog and my third grade teacher. Sorry to have gotten off topic. What I'm saying here is that I wished I had dreamt more about ponies
  14. All of these are great! I particularly like and 's. CMC dresses are nice too. However I have to agree here that Pinkie's dress doesn't quite give off her personality. It's a little plain, and not party like enough. I think that Pinkie's shoes would fit well with Fluttershy, as Fluttershy was seen wearing similar style shoes in her green dress.
  15. Sounds like a great idea! When you said they will be painted, do you mean by hand painted, or machine made?
  16. Could I join too? I think this would be fun Mine is jimmychen1996. ADD NOW!!!!
  17. I agree with most of the posts here, that they are around their late teens to early twenties. But exact age? This calls for a My Little Ponytologist. Also the CMC, and other fillies, seem to be around 10-13, judging from their size and behavior.
  18. I've actually pondered over the same question as well. I agree with everything Slendermane said, however I feel that she fits into Ponyville too well. She did not really seem surprised by the customs and behaviors of the Ponyville inhabitants when she first arrived.
  19. This is the first forum which I feel like I'm part of the community! (Hugs back)
  20. For now, it's Minecraft. I'm not much of a gamer, and this is the only game I play.
  21. I discovered something else. This for sure, is an animation error. Look at Pinkie's flank. Is that what I think it is?
  22. Whenever parents approve. I'd say probably mid-late twenties. Or maybe marry if you are too desperate , since it is generally more accepted to engage in a sexual relationship after you are married.
  23. San Andreas and Vice City were my favorites. I also have China town wars. For San Andreas, I would steal a car, use cheats and fly the car all over the land. Yes, fly. Oh boy it was such fun. For Vice City, I had all sorts of weapons cheats, and would target cars and snipe people in the head until I have 6 stars. I have a special rooftop which I would hide on. Only helicopters can make it up there. Armed with a rocket launcher, Helicopters aren't a big threat as well. Also, to stop cops from following my tank, I would use the tank cheat while driving the tank over and over, until there is a large pile of tanks behind me, blocking the police. I would then blow the tanks up. China town Wars wasn't as great, but it was fun as well. I dealt with drugs and blew up gas stations. Aside from the cheats, I agree that the stories are somewhat mediocre, not too much excitement to it.
  24. Not sure if this is new or not, anyways... Twas a typical day, and I was rewatching MLP, and came across this. The first pony that caught my I was Lyra Heartstrings (is this what she's called?). Her turquoise colored coat made her easy to spot, 3 times... Same goes with some other ponies in the audience. I noticed this in other large groups of ponies too. I think Lauren Faust did this to save money on animations. I just thought this was kind of funny.
  25. I have so many I lost track! However games are significantly cheaper where I live. I live in Shanghai; here, like pretty much ALL of the games are copied/fake versions. Same with movies. However I do have a few prized possessions (real games), such as Wii Sports, Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and some others. I do agree that the Wii is slowly dissappearing, however, nintendo is still quite popular. I recently went to Japan, and every other kid there had a Nintendo 3DS they were carrying around with them. By the way, is Wii U ever going to be released? I heard of it a few months back.
