I'll leave you here with the opening verse to this song.

"My mind meanders like a river
through green valleys,
searching fervently for truth
in far distant places,
though I need only look as far as my heart to find both truth and
delusion
too close for comfort."

I've been torn between Sybreed, System of a Down, Periphery, and The Browning.

Sybreed

Why I am hooked on this band? It has an interesting combination of techno sound combined with some solid metal to it. Plus that cover art fits with my love of cyborgs and robotic augmentation.

System of a Down

Just a solid band with some nice sound with exceptional singing without being too heavy. They are most relaxing metal that I listen to.

Periphery

Djent? Metal? Some nice heavy sounds and drums that make me smile.

The Browning

You want more metal in your face than what Sybreed can give you, along with darker techno sounds? The Browning would be that blend. I normally listen to this when I write my Organic Chemistry Lab Reports. It is a wonderful stress reliever.

@@Malafax,
I freaking love Tesseract. Such an amazing band.

Also, I have yet to listen to the Contortionist. Giving them a look now. :D

@@Glaive9Gko,

That is one helluva good band. Saw them live twice, and they were amazing both times. I highly suggest the video for Born in Winter.

Here's something heavy for you.

And, here's something a bit obscure, and also heavy. Meshuggah strikes again.

Why is this one of the only Meshuggah songs I've never heard? I have every official Meshuggah album and EP, but not this single. BY GOD THAT SONG IS AMAZING THOUGH! I still prefer this...

Guys, i think I may have just jumped on the Meshuggah bandwagon.

Because of this song:

I mean wow, it's sound so technical and I kinda (FUCKIN) like the riffs

That song actually reminds me alot of this:

A Machine Head/ Meshuggah co-headline tour would be sick.

This is now a MEGATHREAD!

Time to serve up some MEGADETH!

So looking forward to the new CD, with Chris Adler from Lamb Of God on drums!
