web 4chan is messing with the balance of the internet

Alright all you fillies and gentle colts, we got us an issue with 4chan again. from what I've been hearing, 4 chan has "hacked" into tumblr and started causing all sorts of  . as Bronies we had a history with this god of chaos known as 4chan. Now for dramatic effect and for the sake of expressing the severity of this situation ill explain it in 2 ways.

 

1. we fought with this 4chan awhile back, back when Bronies were first coming to power over the internet, 4chan damn near denied the rise of us Bronies. with them banning all pony related content on their forums it seemed all hope was lost. but we did wall all Bronies do, fight till the god damn bitter end. and we came out bucking. we managed to push back 4chan and remove the ban of ponies from their website. as far as I know, Bronies, are the only ones to actually defeat 4chan. in order to save our dear friend tumblr from a terrible fate. we must alert all the Brony forums and for the army that Bronies once were and defeat our old nemesis once again.

 

2. 4chan is going to far. from what my informants tell me. some peeps from 4chan are posting rape and gore in what is supposed to be safe tags, as well a hacking into tumblr accounts and photo shopping picture of people into porn. yeah that's not going to happen. not while us Bronies are still here. so I'm asking you  please. for the sake of tumblr, the internet, and the people whose lives are being negatively effected to point of possible suicide. we need to stop 4chan from doing this, or the people who are involved.

 post in this if you agree with me or would like to discuss a plan. even if I have to go into this alone I will do everything I can to fight against these dark and twisted people. :okiedokielokie:

i am a member of 4chan, and can say that the people posting rape/gore/porn in safe tags are few in number, and are mostly just trolling.

those who post those things in safe tags get a temporary ban, and the posts they make are deleted.

 

also, to say that 4chan is disrupting the balance of the internet is like when haters called us horsefuckers. You cannot just simply make such a bold statement. 1 website will not change the face of our great metropolis known as the internet.

Well first of all 4chan is not a horrible, twisted place, it merely just attracts the sort of people that are in fact horrible and twisted.

 

As a 4channer myself I ask that when you refer to 4chan hacking into tumblr, you realize that only a very small percentage of our population are willing to take such things that far.

 

Besides, stuff like this happens all the time (admittedly to a lessened scale) all over the Internet.

 

As another point I do not see the Bronies defeating 4chan good in the slightest. Sure they weren't very tolerant but if a forum bans the use of certain things, then a bunch of people spam it anyway just so they can break the rules, the "forum," itself is not the bad guy.

Some tumblrites (Mostly self proclaimed 'Social Justice Warriors') decided that they felt kinda badass so they decided to 'raid' 4chan and try their best to rile people up. They succeeded, far more and for a different reason than they intended. 

Given a challenge and a target, 4chan responded in kind. Again, this was a small but dedicated group who did so, and the effects were the 'messing with the balance' you refer to. So before you say that 4chan is 'going too far', remember that they were simply responding in kind to an attack of their own.

One of basic guidelines of life states that if you do not care about yourself, you are unable to help the others.

 

That being said, there is a "war" ongoing on Ukraine/Russian borders. Does that mean I should throw everything, grab a weapon and go stop them, because people are in danger?

Brazilian government is spending enormous amounts of funds on organizing the soccer world cup, while their education is in terrible state and poverty in certain areas is a common issue. I guess I should go and fight the government, since children are starving.

MY FRIEND is in hospital because some kind of [expunged] did not check his mirrors while he was overtaking him. It resulted with the dude crashing into my friends' motorcycle and sending him into nearest ditch, where he lost consciousness and awoken in hospital. I guess I should do everything to get this dude jailed?

 

No. None of these things. Because it would make less sense than putting a sausage before your dog in hopes it'll learn how NOT to eat it without your permission. And honestly, I care about 4chan/tumblr conflict less than about last years' snow.

 

There are COUNTLESS conflicts like these over the internet, I wonder what made you care right about this one to a point you're trying to order everyone to help one of the sides?

That being said, if you believe anybody can take on ALL the internet ... Oh dear...

Don't touch 4chan. Leave them alone and ((hopefully) they'll leave you alone. Going back and forth between these people is pointless, so why drag the fandom into it?
