When was the first time you encountered a scary internet prank (screamer)? How did you stumble upon it? Which prank was it? Mine was the infamous K-Fee car ad (the one with the zombie).

My first experience, iirc, was when I was randomly watching a video, then a screamer came up and scared me! I didn't crap myself, but I did pee myself, rather badly actually...

Before I even touched the internet, I remember seeing people scared by screamers on tv.

I was smart enough to not watch those, so some point and click game like Arise probably game me the first (surprise) taste of that. 

I'm real easy to scare, so I try really hard to avoid them.

Yeah, that was the one I was going to post. That one is amazing.

 

You can cheat by right-clicking to open the context menu, moving the mouse to the end, and left-clicking there, then moving the cursor onto the exit block. It screams anyway on the exit block of the third level.

 

It definitely got me the first time around.

Someone on deviantART sent me this link to a video, it had to do with Jeff The Killer, and the guy opens the door, and you hear nothing the first two minutes, then you get this horrifying high-pitched scream when Jeff comes into the room with the bloody knife, spelling out 'GO TO BED'. I wish I had the link for the video XD It was strange.

I remember when I was like 5, my dad sent my mom a screamer. I happened to be sitting near her looking at the computer screen when she opened the email. I remember initially there were two side by side images. It was one of those "What is the difference" pictures, so of course that had us focused on the computer monitor. All of a sudden a demonic red-faced thing from hell pops up and the screen, and I absolutely lose my sh!t. I've never been so scared in my life before. Of course, after the scary thing went away it showed a little picture of spongebob. Stupid screamers!

I was looking through the comments through this one post on facebook.Then this link came up in one of the comments.It was just the link and nothing else.I decided to click on it out of curiosity.Out of no who it shows jeff the killer flashing really fast,and a really high pitch screaming all at the same time.The worst part was Derpy hooves was the one to post that link! :okiedokielokie:

I think it was one of those halloween games on miniclip back in grades 7-8. I remember being shaken pretty badly by a ghost at the end.

I remember Newgrounds back in the days had the occational screamer. There was one "Find Waldo" game in particular I remember with a screamer that got me pretty good. Even to this day I don't trust the "look closely" type of images.

I remember that maze game that was posted on another forum I was on many years ago. I thought I got the hang of it until suddenly the creep from the Exorcist appeared with a loud-pitched scream! I quickly closed the program after that. Ugh! Talk about a cheap trick for most users like me!

 

Now whenever I watch something horror related, I turn the volume down in case a screamer pops up.

I think this is the one that I first experienced as well.  It happened during my sixth grade graduation.  Everyone except a few were pranked by classmates and friends.  Since parents were there too, we pranked our families as well.  The game scared the **** out of my mom, made my uncle laugh his *** off, and nearly caused my four year old brother to faint.  I took it like a man though.  I only gasped in horror and jumped out of my seat backwards.  But everyone found being screamed funny.

I can't say I remember the name of it frankly, but the last one I remember was like Slender I guess.

 

I typically try and avoid jump scares, or anything that may possibly have one ;p. So I seem to have not come across to many. I'm kind of a scardy cat anyways.

It was one of those "focus close" .gifs/videos on something aweful back in the day. There was some very tiny text on the screen, and after like 3 or 4 seconds a ghost face would pop up. I was rather unfazed, as by the time the ghost popped up, I had already grown bored and looked away lol.
