I imagine a setting far along some kind of trail near the forest will be good for you, if you are trying to move to town that is? Might be hard to get through the forest itself with a cart of stuff, depending on how much they have with them. Your choice though. ^^

 Nah, was thinking more of like an exuding of water all over, like being really, really sweaty. Aye, I like the concept of being "Set on Water." No doubt Nerzhei has the capability of setting others on Rock. A much more painful process then being Set On Air.

  Oh, and @MiragetheChangeling? Don't worry too much about it. Alot of us have a fear of being alone for too long. It's not quite as rare as you might first think! 

 Think I'm kind of caught on what Blitz said earlier there. Strikes me that Chrysalis, and so far what we know of Changeling Queens and their society, that they wouldn't tolerate there being a potential compettion to their rule. Your Amanita could be just as much any other abandoned young changeling with much the same backstory left unchanged. Her being some sort of "princess" doesn't really strike me as being all to necessary for any point. 

 Do have to disagree with the Mistletoe point though. From what I know, Mistletoe is a parastic plant that grows way up high in the treetops. What with being spiky and all, I do think that process is more than enough to be an amazing talent while still being simple enough! Granted, it's likely not the only plant he gets sent out to find, or the only thing he gets paid to do, but I like it the way it is!

   (though really, that might just be because we need more green-accented ponies around here!)

I know I will loose nerd cred for this, but... I've never watched Gravity Falls. Heard good things though, and now I get the reference.

Your version of water bite sounds like somepony will, for a time, essentially end up getting wet and slippery? As in, they'd literally be unable to stand as the floor they stand on would be wet, or hang on to anything as they're all sweaty. And the stench, geez.. Plus I assume it have to be widely uncomfortable. Though I might have misunderstood things a teensie bit. It's late. Though hey, that's just a theory. A wet theory.

As for Brittle, I figured it were showing off some of what I meant with her conversion not being completed. She haves an exoskeleton, and have gone mostly black like a changeling drone, but she still haves her mane, tail, and some patches of regular color. She also haves half a blurry cutie mark that looks like a wasp wing, but nothing more is visible.

The variety in color comes off my thought that without knowing instinctively what she used too look like anymore, she just settled on something by accident, that now counts as her base. It is unlikely that anything, besides the fragmented cutie mark, is how she used to be. Poor sod, eh? Doesn't even have an identity to work with.

And yeah yeah, you win. mistletoe is a special green. I surrender, happy now? Cause if you're not, I'll tell your ex wife.

Hey now, despite being a gajillion decades old or something, I've only married once! And if you can somehow track her down through time, space & dimensions then...  ...well, at least..  HER AIM IS-  STOP THAT ALREADY!

Have to say though, its probably Briar that makes for poor sod. Ba, Dumb & Squish!

 Aaactually... If you deprive grass from sunlight, it gets paler. I remember this from how many times I've left a plank of wood or something broad on the lawn for too long. Takes on this really cool, eeriee twisty-white look!

Gravity Falls is awesome and awesome. Also awesome. I really wish they would make a sequel or maybe a spin-off where Dipper and Mabel come back older, or maybe what they do after leaving...

I think the joke is funny because it starts out kinda like 'oh, she still misses you?' and then it's like, 'oh, she's throwing things at you'. Just that turnaround humor or whatever it may is be kinda called?  

Also, obviously her aim isn't good enough yet if (s)he's still talking  

I'm not sure if I'm talking about Stan or Anomaly in this case (jk, definitely Stan.   )  Though I will say Stan is probably one of the best good bad good guys, total criminal and very selfish but still cares for his niece, nephew, brother, and to some extent Sus -Wait, is it Sus or Soos? I can never remember- And sometimes teaches them criminal things.

Well, I wouldn't mind it, but it's fine enough for a first post. Just try to work on internal dialogue and thoughts like you can see I do with mine, as it helps filling out the posts tremendously, and gives people something to read and respond to. For now though, fine enough, as you are leading my chars towards you, but when they do meet, try and describe the scene a little. It'll make for good fun. Also makes it easier for me to have something to respond to. ^^

Though I think Brittle is worse off. Briar have learned to move past things, and have embraced the life he haves now. Brittle barely haves a life as it is, and she is terrified of the world around her. The only one she really trusts are Briar, and even then she is a nerve wreck, who is stuck with mostly no past, and a race that most ponies doesn't trust, with powers she can't control. I honestly don't know why I made everything about her so depressing anymore.

from one roleplayer to another, i'll tell you there was a time when my replies were as simple as *walks over to you* in roleplays i did on kik. as you can see with my replies in this roleplay, that is no longer the case. i still do roleplay on kik, and when i do the responses are shorter than on here, but that's simply because 1. there are a lot of people who see how long i write and just go "uhhhh" and 2. typing on a tiny phone keyboard is the worst thing ever, especially when it wants to auto-correct things like "save" to "Dave". why the hell would i ask my dad to Dave some pizza for me? but i digress... 

 

the point i'm trying to get at is, you get better with time. what's always helped me though, is to REALLY think of all 5 senses when you write, as well as body language. what sort of things can your character see? how do they react to what they are seeing? is there a surprised look on their face or do they seem not to react at all? what can your character hear as they go about their business? does anything in particular catch their attention? do their ears twitch at all? what do they feel, or smell? do they walk with confidence or do they seem rather timid? all of these small questions you can ask yourself can really help to build your reply, and you really see your post length beef up a ton. 

a lot of what i do as well, is i have a lot of inner dialogue. i sort of explain in the narration why phoenix does what she does, and i explain her train of thought

 

but hey, we all go through growing pains. i'm trying to add a bit more for the other character to react to as well. i mean, i can explain all the trains of thought that i want, but if my character sits there and does nothing while all that's going on, then it really makes for not much practical stuff. that's why i'm trying to add a bit more in terms of facial reactions, as well as the small things to give blitz here more to grasp

That tends to happen quite a bit. You see, everyone typically waits for blitz to reply, but blitz only replies once every two days. He's a busy person, and not to mention all the replies he has to write. So he has to structure himself.
