Do you Like where you live? Why?

I live in a more rural area. Not much town places, only if you head a couple miles north. We have 5 acres of land and live on a hill, separate from town/cities. I'm quite alright where I live, as long as we have internet and satellite.

I like where I live it's a nice house near nature and lake =) Only thing I don't like is that there are so many people near I would like to live in house away from all people and near beautiful nature =)

I live in the Western Sydney region, Parramatta, Penrith, etc.. It's honestly an alright place, although the people can be pretty rude. If you go too far East (or West.. I can't remember), you'll meet a lot of bogans. Bogan is a slang term basically meaning a person who is the lowest class of society, they usually live off welfare, participate in crime and overall don't have manners. They don't value education usually also.

 

I wish I could go and live up in Queensland at Sunshine Coast. Beautiful area.

I love where I live. It's a nice small town that I've been around pretty much my whole life. There might not be too much to do around here, but it's a great area anyways. The teachers in the high school are amazing, like I've been to 4 high schools and by far the school I'm going to now is the best. They actually know how to teach, unlike a certain math teacher I had last year

 

Plus pretty much all the friends I've ever made live where I'm living. It's great to have friends that go as far back as 1st grade.

I live in a very rural community that's rather close to a couple cities. The people can be rude sometimes, but it's generally peaceful overall, so yes I do enjoy where I live.

I like the familiarity, and it’s not too big like London but it has lots of stuff going on.

 

I would like to move one day to somewhere new though, I don’t like the idea of just spending my whole life in one place it’s boring.

 

I like the North so I’m thinking Newcastle or Manchester in the future.

I live in New Zealand, it is a beautiful place but it can be a bit uneventful, not many people here and it doesn't really snow in my area. (I have always wanted it to snow )

It snowed for the first time since 1939 in 2011

 

But, its my home, so I love it here

Before moving to where I live now, I was happy. It was just my dad and myself sharing a two bedroom house.

 

However, once I graduated from High School and went off to college, my dad decided to move in with his girlfriend (who lives out in the middle of nowhere and away from all of my friends. This makes hanging with my friends a lot more difficult because I don't own a car, or have a Driver's License.)

 

This does not make me happy. (Don't get me wrong, I want my dad to be happy. I just don't like how she treats me.)

 

TL;DR: I prefer my dorm at Husson University over a small bedroom (which is filled to the brim with a lot of useless crap) out in the middle of nowhere with a person who doesn't give me the respect that I deserve.

I live in a little town in South Australia, and I find it to be a nice place. There isn't much to do in terms of shopping, but it's always fun to walk and check out all of the views.

No I don't like the country I live in (the Netherlands).. The city where I live, Amsterdam, is pretty nice tho.. and I like my house.. But besides that I just don't really feel like I belong here..

Too far west. The eastern suburbs are generally pretty expensive on account of being by the sea. Vaucluse, Point Piper, Darling Point, Double Bay, Bronte, and Rose Bay are some of the priciest parts of Australia, and they're all south east of the CBD.

 

I used to live in Maroubra Bay which is a bit further south than all those places, and so not quite as expensive, but still very nice.

 

Now I live in Lewes, and to answer the question in this topic, yes, I like it very much. Some of my reasons for liking it were shown in this other thread.

I grew up in a small farm town in southwest Oklahoma. The population of my hometown is about 300 people. When I finished high school, I moved to a college town with a population of only about 9,000 people and that was an adjustment. When I finished college, I moved to Oklahoma City. And I live smack in the middle of Oklahoma City too. If you count the whole metro, I now share a city with 1.3 million people. Do I like it? Yes and no.

 

Living in a big city, I thought I would never get bored. In a small town, there's not much you can do if you don't have an off road vehicle or a boat. But everything costs money. There's so much to do here but I don't have money to do much of it! lol But where I live in Oklahoma City is a nice part of town. I get tired of there being so much bad news in the city. Crime here is pretty bad, especially in the rougher parts of town. And I don't have much money because my rent is so high. My rent is high because I chose safety over having more money lol

 

So yeah...I'm not sure if I like the city yet. But I certainly don't hate it.

I dislike where I live, west side of Indianapolis, it's dull and boring, nothing ever happens besides the Indy 500 (which I could care less about, to be honest). I've lived in far better places.

honestly i dislike the town where i live but i love the area because the town is dull and boring where very little happens and there is not a lot to do because it is a college town yet i love the area because there are a lot of things to do surrounding it

I love my city (Chicago) yes it may be one of the most dangerous cities and blah blah blah...but its still amazing. It never gets boring here, theres always something new and everyone is different in their own way.

I do not much care for where I live. I mean, I could list many, many areas that are worse, but in my country those numbers are much smaller. I'll give three reasons: It's too religious, it's too conservative, and the weather is bad (too warm, and too high of a chance for tornadoes).

 

I don't much care about 'having stuff to do'. We have a couple of malls and tons of restaurants, what more could one need? There are some plus sides: A low cost of living, and the gas prices are really low right now, with the gas prices supposedly being below $2 in some areas. The town and neighborhood I live in is VERY safe. And it's a pretty big state and city/town for marching band. I got to be a part of an amazing marching band in my last two years of high school that competed (and still does) at the top of the nation.

 

...But that's all I can really give it. And when you think about it - the price of living might be so low just because... Why would anyone ever live in this place? Your house might be blown away and your life destroyed any day in a tornado, after all.

I'm pretty satisfied where I live because it's a gated community. The neighbors mind their own business and so do I, but sometimes I wish my community could be a little active. It's like a ghost town over here. Oh well nothings perfect.

Nope, Venezuela is an awful place, specially if you're young. There's nothing interesting around, the stores are empty, everything is expensive, the crime rate is high.... yeah, you'll age mentally pretty quickly, I feel like an over 60 old man in the body of one of 23

Staten Island, New York. Love it and hate it.

 

This borough has some beautiful places and is both safer and cheaper than the other boroughs. It is also more suburban and not as overbuilt as places in the other boroughs. I've met some really nice people here. The city of New York has no shortage of things to do, especially now at holiday time.

 

However, people are very sharply divided and have few to no manners for the most part, the economy in this borough is stagnant, cost of living, despite being low for the area, is still insanely high in comparison to the rest of the country, infrastructure is very out of date and is getting little to no investment, public transit here is the least-developed of the four outer boroughs, tolls are high, commutes are the longest and slowest in the country, and work, training, and school opportunities are paltry here compared to the surrounding area, necessitating a long and/or expensive commute. It's been considered a good community for retirees, but people in my age group have compared it to Detroit for its relative lack of opportunity in comparison to the surrounding area. It's where dreams go to die.

 

I forgot to mention the fast pace of life and how it always seems that someone's up your ass at one time or another. I've weighed the risks and the benefits, and I feel it would benefit me more to move out of here than to stay for the long term.
