The end of April/beginning of this month was when I had gotten to the point where I began to crave watching the episodes out that I hadn't seen yet, and when I actually turned my sights onto actually seeking out an online space to call pony home. So a about a month for full brony-ness, and about a half-a-month period throughout April where I had watched a few episodes and was like 'eeeh...it's a lot better than I gave it credit for. Will have to watch more sometime'. So, month? Month and a half? Not long :3

Definitely January, because that's when my birthday is, and I remember one of my friends bought me the first season after he caught me watching my second episode.

I became a brony by listening to "Rainbowstep" on Youtube. It was a pretty awesome song, and the video itself looked pretty amazing. So I did research, and looked up the first episode. I was awestruck and I was instantly hooked. Soon enough, I signed up for Netflix and stayed up late watching each and every single episode. After season 1, I eagerly waited for season 2 to air on Netflix, after it did, it was back to staying up late again. Soon after I made a playlist of around 30 MLPFIM songs. Remixes, orchestral and dubstep were the kind I listened to. I listen to the playlist daily, constantly check for newer songs, and plaster my desktop with MLPFIM wallpapers.

I became brony on 4th November 2011. Some famous on polish youtube guy made a trailer of his "drinking is magic marathon" with ponies. I didn't watch this, I thought he was trolling or something like that. But I could find pictures of ponies everywhere on the internet and I started wondering why? Are all those people trolls? So I found first episode on youtube and after watching it I was like "it isn't that bad, lets see how it will end" After second I thought "lets see maybe one more episode and then I'll judge the show. I ended watching on 3am. Now I think it was the best decision in my life. I would really hate to get back to my previous life.

I became a brony in March. I'd known two of my friends were bronies for a little while and I just decided that if my friends and other people around my age liked the show there had to be something good about it. So I told my friends that I'd give the show a chance and the rest is history.

I became one in April I believe. A week or so before I joined here.

I hadn't heard or knew much about them, but was whatever about what little I did hear. Well, I just so happened to play on a brony server on tf2 and had a few on a group on another forum. So I decided to try the show out and see what it was about.

I watched the pilot episode and it was ok. Couldn't stop there on a cliffhanger so I watched the other part. Then I watched ep 3...then 4...then 5.....then the rest of season 1. I Almost finished in a day, but had to make sure my friends didn't know at the time. And I was hooked ever since. Then I got into fanfics and other parts of the fandom. I've even started somewhat dabbling in music making themed at the show.

*HOLY MOTHER OF CHRIST, I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT I LEFT THAT MANY ERRORS IN MY POST FOR SUCH A LONG TIME! UUUUUGGGGGHHHHH!

Tell us your story.

MY STORY

Well, I was playing on Minecraft and then suddenly the Steam Chat thingy came up from my friend asking if we could chat. So we did.

I was like 'Hi, how are you?' And he replied, 'Yeah fine. Oh yeah, you GOTTA watch MLP.' I thought for a second. Then I said 'What's MLP?' He said 'You don't know what MLP is? It's My Little Pony, you moron.'

I was really confused because I was like 'What the heck, why is he asking me to watch a little girls program?' Then he explained to me what a 'Brony' was and what a 'Pegisister' and all the the other things where ect. So I watched the first episode, and I really enjoyed it. Then, of course, I get addicted to it.

Put an epsiode for my sister on my laptop (I had heard of this show somewhere). Watched with her. My eyes filled with rainbows and magic. And, of course, I wanted to be left alone after that and watch it by myself.

I watched all the episodes so I could feel justified in calling all the bronies I knew fags. Horribly ironic that I ended up liking it.

I've been surfing the interwebs for a few years now, and in recent months, I've been captivated by the astonishing charcater of the ponies that I saw lurking through meme macros, mostly on KYM, and y'know, other meme websites.

Then, my friend kept telling me, and telling me, and telling me about how the show was good, and then he sent me the link to the S1 pilot. Then, when I had too much free time (Spring Break), I finally gave in, watched the episode. and was overcome by rainbows.

The end.

My journey in the fandom started on April 5, 2012. I joined here on April 24, 2012. Where that journey is headed now, who knows...

I frequented a furry forum (yes, I know. But I'm not one of those furries.) which had a large brony community, I mostly ignored it, but tolerated it.

Then, because I was bored and had nothing to do, I decided to see what all the fuss was about, and downloaded the first season.

Saw the first two episodes: "Meh, not bad! The title sequence is really girly though."

That night I watched all of the first season, and became a brony.

And that was less than a month ago.

I had first heard of this whole pony movement over a year ago, and was like 'meh'. I didn't care, but eventually, did find myself becoming very irritated that no matter where I went, there were people posting ponies in their avatars, sigs, etc, on everything from Sonic forums to Naruto forums I go on. My mindset was basically 'I don't care how good it is, stop forcing it upon everyone, everywhere you go. You want to have ponies in your avatar fine, but shut up about them, and talk about ponies on PONY forums.'

Later on, that finally died down and I was happy. Months later, a month and a half ago from now, I watched the first two episodes on Youtube one night due to A: Being obscenely bored and B: My brony friend who I knew for a long time and recently got into them, was talking to me about it. I was like 'fine, guess I should give it a try. I mean, if I watch enough of it, people can't tell me 'well you'd like it if you watched it.'

I didn't get sucked in after the first two episodes, but after about five or six over the next week, I got hooked. Long story short?

Before I became a Brony, I was a flight-sim junkie. One one of their forums, a user going by the name ''FrenchTOZT'' (see what he did there?) had this Pinkie Pie gif doing her..uh...random shit.

I knew about Ponies before but I didn't really care about them, I wasn't a hater or even neutral, because I had never even seen a single picture of any Pony during my stay on the internet. Mind you, I've been on the internet for very long.

Anyways, so when I saw that Pinkie Pie avvie, I was like ''Oh lol! What the hell is that pony doing?''. So I got curious and I went to youtube and typed ''My little Pony''. The first thing that came up was the pilot episode of My little Pony. So I close all the doors and curtains and started watching it just to see what the fuss was about....

You know the rest :P

Don't we have this thread somewhere already?

Anyways, a little bit of backstory. When I first heard of "bronies", I thought it was a big inside joke that I didn't understand. I assumed it was some sort of group who enjoyed it for campiness, and sat around making fun of it. I mean, how could 18 year old males enjoy a cartoon aimed at female toddlers?

So, skip time to a few months ago. One of my friends, fellow forum member Legendary Emerald, told me he'd become a brony, and couldn't stop watching the episodes. Perplexed, I asked him what the appeal of the show was. He told me it was just a genuinely good show: good characters, good writing, good humor, etc. So, a while later, I finally broke down and told him I'd watch it.

I was "open-mindedly skeptical" when he showed me my first episode (Party of One), and we watched it, and of course, he was right.

August, as my signature says.

I thought there HAD to be some reason why men liked MLP so much. The first episode I came across was "Best Night Ever." I tried watching a few episodes, and I thought it was way too boring. I decided to watch it with a friend instead. We agreed it was good, but not the best cartoon on TV. Now I love it.

Before I started watching MLP, I never watched TV and thought it was a waste of time.

I discovered it on KWM in early May 2011. I didn't mark down the date because I didn't realize just how in love with it I would become. I watched the pilot first (always a good place to start) and was instantly hooked.

I've been a brony for over a year now, and boy has it been awesome!
