If mlpforums were taken down, they'll probably create another one, what would be good, since many members maybe abandonned this site and still are signed up. RP databases reseted, many threads buried up deleted and no more accumulating space, less members slowing down the connection(kidding)....

You forgot to ask if Poniverse were taken down, what would be worse. Poniverse is the father of all of this.

Depends on the circumstances. If the forums were taken down for legal reasons (i.e., copyright), I'd work with the remaining staff to try and find an alternative. The same applies to a massive technical breakdown.

 

Suffice it to say that I would be devastated if MLP Forums disappeared without a trace and without a means by which to preserve the community.

I guess I would just go to the World of Equestria site. Fortunately I'm able to contact my friends through a variety of other sites (Facebook, Deviantart, etc), although I don't have alternate contact methods for every friend. :/

 

I'd be pretty sad since I really love the forums and spend much of my day on here, but I'd get over it eventually.

I would be pretty saddened overall because this is literally one of the only places I have ever felt like I belong, never even had that in real life or any other forum really, not as much as here. So that's pretty special to me and it would be a bummer to see that go. I surprisingly don't go to ANY other MLP related sites, ever.

I'm not even particularly active in the MLP community anyway. Most of my time here is spent talking about pretty much everything but MLP. I'd either find another forum to lurk on the general discussion boards or just not join another forum since it takes up more of my time than I probably should allow it to.

 

I'd at least hope I have all of the people I care to stay in contact with (or them me) somewhere else like Steam or Skype buuut if not then it's not a gigantic deal either. Friends come and go, acquaintances even moreso.

I'd be pretty sad. I love this site for it's community. It's none other like I've seen been before. It feels cozy.

I'd be pretty surprised, honestly, because something big or unexpected must've happened. Legal issues, something happening to Feld0, and the like. The site wouldn't shut down for simple reasons, and even if Feld0 left, he'd take steps to keep the community alive without him. Either way, I'd try to figure out what happened and see if there was anything I could do.

 

In the worst case scenario, and there's no way to bring the site back, I'd get together with the remaining staff and members and form a new site. This might even end up being beneficial to the community, as a fresh start might just improve the overall experience. Perhaps an even better site might rise up from the ashes of the old community. Getting a life can wait. x)

 

Anyway, this is a very interesting scenario, indeed!
