Big Mac hates the crusaders?

get this idea? I find so many

fanfics that Big Macintosh hates

the cutie mark crusaders because

he finds them annoying and

silly. The character doesnt even

talk much for goodness sake.

2 and im lost. When did this idea

come up?

At most he probably gets a little worried that the CMC might be doing dangerous things which could result in his little sister getting hurt so therefore he doesn't approve their crusading much.

 

That is just a theory though, there is no evidence that suggests he doesn't like the CMC.

Only episode that comes to mind is "Ponyville Confidential" - Other than that, there has been no reason for Big Mac to dislike the crusaders, especially since her youngest sister is part of it.

Apple Bloom and Big MacIntosh don't really communicate much in the show. People only get that idea because of the earful he gave them in "Ponyville Confidential".

I have serious doubts that Big Mac hates the CMC. Keep in mind that he doesn't say much in the first place, and doesn't really interact with fillies all that much. As it stands while Big Mac doesn't interact with the CMC; there's no reason to think he outright hates them.

 

Heck, he had perfect reasons for getting mad at them after Ponyville Confidential and Hearts & Hooves Day, but even then that doesn't translate to hate.

They might be influenced by issues #9-10 of the comic series. Basically it's a Big Mac story where he's just trying to buy some nails in order to fix a gazebo, but ponies keep getting in his way. The Cutie Mark Crusaders wind up appearing with fireworks, accidentally blowing some stuff up, and at the end of the story after Big Mac fixes the gazebo, they wind up accidentally blowing the gazebo up.

Never heard much of this. The only real interaction he's had with them was trolling them in Heart's and Hooves Day and calling them out in Ponyville Confidential.

Fans will be fans I guess there are certain ideas which are far far less likely like Scootabuse for example that are often presented in fanfics. I can see Big Mac getting occasionally annoyed at them and he was quite understandably pissed at them in Ponyville Confidential but hating them would seem a bit out of character for him.

He doesn't. In the main series IDW comics, after a run-in with the crusaders, he says and i quote: "I love my sister and her friends but WHOA! Sometimes they are just....tiring."

i find it highly unlikely. 1: apple bloom is his sister. 2: ive never seen anything to point to it being such a case. i suppose if you take his little exchange in ponyville confidential out of context, itd seem that way. but think about it: if you were in his hirsesgoes, wouldnt you be ticked off too? overall, maybe a little annoyed, but i dont think hed ever flat out hate them.

I don't think Big Mac hates the Crusaders even though he got mad at them on "Ponyville Confidential". I don't know why fans would come up with a theory like that.

I certainly don't get the impression he hates the Crusaders. Would be kind of out of character for him to be, when one of them is his own sister. Okay, he was a little angry at them in one ep, but I don't think it's a pattern.

Bah, I've seen ridiculous premises that great part of the fandom shares, I'm used to it

   Apple Bloom is Big Mac's sister first, a cutie mark crusader second, nevertheless, he had a right to be angry at the cutie mark crusaders, for they libelled him in the Ponyville Confidential, and poisoned him on Hearts and Hooves Day, but just because he was righteously angry does not make hate the cutie mark crusaders. Big Macintosh would not hate his younger sister, as we have seen in Pinkie Apple Pie, a family has difficult moments, yet they prevail despite that friction, furthermore, Big Macintosh did forgive the cutie mark crusaders, and so did the other ponies they affected, I don't know where theories like these arise from, a fandom can be a double edged sword, however, from my observation of the ponies, they get over any grudge they might be baring, the power of friendship is that powerful to them, if we held that kind of friendship in our souls, we would be as good as the ponies.

Off the top of my head there is the Love Poison incident from "Hearts and Hooves Day" where they tried to force Big Mac and Cheerilee to fall in love with each other and nearly destroyed their lives in the process.

 

And then there is "Ponyville Confidential" where they shared embarrassing secrets about him and Applejack publicly through the Foal Free Press, making them the laughingstock of Ponyville and his anger at the fact conveyed with the scene of him chewing them over it, while speaking in full sentences.

 

With that said, I don't think he hates them-but, I see where the belief stems from.
