Could Discord Every Become a Great Ruler?

I  think this is very possible. Discord is taking baby steps forward to becoming a better pony and hes does already has Experience ruling a land(even if it was in eternal chaos). So could he possibly become a great ruler of maybe a different land or help rule equestria along with the princesses. If he every did help rule Equestria what would he help with? With powerful magic like his he could help protect the land ... but we seen how well that went last time. I guess people or ponies learn from mistakes and maybe that is something he wouldn't do again.

He is Growing as a Character though and he is learning from mistakes. Just like a normal person just without the magic. You think Obama or Stephen Harper are perfect? But look at them both Obama is president for USA and Stephen Harper is the Prime Minster of Canada.

Honestly, Discord would have a lot of growing to do as an individual before he could run a successful kingdom of his own, unless it was leader of that insanely amusing realm we saw.

i don't really see him learning from mistakes while yes he is learning that its okay to have more friends i still see him as a more self-fulfilling character rather than like the other ponies who are learning about friendship

Yes if you would love to see your country in complete chaos with bizzare weather patterns and strange plants growing everywhere as well as random floating objects then Discord is the ruler you would want.

that sounds like fun to mee i don't even think his "chaos " is that bad it is pretty Cool actually. Imagine living in a awesome floating house.

If he and Fluttershy were ruling together in the absence of the 3 4 princesses, I could see him becoming a great ruler. He's more powerful and wily than Celestia, and can fix more problems.

 

Discord alone, might try for a bit, but eventually would just get bored and start recreating the Chaos Capital of the World.

It may be possible, but if it is, he is a LONG way from it. They last time he ruled chaos came down faster than hail in the Carolinas. And even though Hasbro probably won't make it canon the fandom can probably come up with great headcanon plots.
