June Banner Contest - Pick Your Winners

I know I through some for a loop with a oddly nebulous theme. Thanks for all that submitted both banners for Episode 100 and the theme itself. For those that forget we were looking for moments from episodes or banners specific to episodes. We did accept submissions that had symbolic takes on this as well. Some even tried to take on a a macro level look at things.

Picked entries #1, 5, and 9.

 

#1 is a stroke of genius. Look at the word game. Not only does it spell out "MLP 100," but it also spells out "MLP." The "Forums" is black and on the bowl of the "P" to separate it without being too distracting.

 

#5 has that illusion of depth. In front is Twilicorn and "MLP Forums," an the background is all the memories resulting in Twilight's ascension. It's a tribute to Magical Mystery Cure and her growth. The one suggestion I have here is to put the Twilicorn perfectly in between "MLP" and "Forums." Currently, there's a lot of negative space to the left, but not to the right. Nudging either "MLP" to the right or Twilight to the left could help balance the composition.

 

#9 is the cleanest and captures Chrysalis's villainy, both in her eyes and the wordmark. Personally, I would leave out the background eyes to focus more emphasis on the mind games the typeface and color play on the audience.

The 8th. The idea was to take advantage from the forum's nocturnal background by adding only a moon and a few details like Twi and Luna.

Entry 4 just makes me feel like it's the right style for MLP Forums~

 

It's in the style of the banners that usually go up
