Longest you've slept without interruption?

I would say around 15-16 hours if I were to take my guess. I was bedridden with nasty bronchitis and was so doped up with anti antibiotics and cough medicine that I barely remember any of it with one of my few memories from that being watching a ton of movies and getting a lot of my meals served to me in bed.

When I was sick with a cold or flu one time, I fell asleep for 13 hours. I was kind of shocked when I woke up; I felt amazing, but I was fairly disoriented as I lost half of the day.

4 days after a week of not sleeping, yes a week, blame meds for that one >.>

I am curious. What about water and food? Didn't you eat or drink anything for 4 days?

When you are tired the body goes in to  shut down mode, while you sleep you consume very little calories and henceforth you can go for a extended period off time with out any intake, plus i suffer from chronic insomnia so its kinda normal for me to go at least 2 or 3 days with out sleep at least once a month if not more often.

While it could be dangerous, my metabolism is slow to begin with so that helps as well, the reason i stay up for a week was due to a new medicine that was meant to help me sleep and it did the reverse.

Thanks for the reply! My body on the other hand apparently needs more water when I am sleeping (or maybe I just sweat during sleep, I am not sure). I usually need to wake up once or maybe twice during night in order to drink water.

It happens, it depends a lot on your lifestyle, if you are really active then your body stays active even in sleep, also if you dont hydrate properly during the day then the body will needed during the night in order to help the body recover from the days work.

My lifestyle is very inactive, since am a musician and only work during the weekends i dont do much of physical stuff either. but i do drink a lot of water during the day at least a gallon a day so im quite hydrated so when i go to sleep in dont suffer from that unless is one of those really hot days that even nights are hell then thats different, i mostly dont sleep during days like that xD

I used to sleep with a maximum of 10 hours when I sleep earlier like 8:30 in the evening, without a distraction until the alarm sounds like early morning. Particularly on every Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during a school year, also on holidays too.  :)

I believe it was about ten or eleven hours. When I woke up, I apparently asked my mom what year it was and was extremely disoriented.

I slept for an unknown amount of days after an operation about 6 years ago, to this day i have no idea how long i spent in hospital.

After my motorcycle crash i slept for about 40 hours, a mixture of caffeine withdrawal and pain kept me in bed.

if you don't count the times my relatives woulf wake me to force-feed me and toilet breaks I once slept about a week or two.

It was right after the 4th exam session of my life and it had been draining~ I was lucky I was with my grandma and aunt who had a bit of respect for energy recovery... if my mom would've been around she'd have gotten me up and running in 2 days max.

Anyway... interesting experience on a whole.

36 hours, went pee twice during it. I also havent eaten for the previous 3 days before that so once I woke up I was so weak an shakey, It was very hard to walk and lift myself out of bed, I had to try a couple times, I almost wanted to cry and call someone for help, had no phone though, and I lived alone. It was terrible, but I finally HAD to get the strength to make food, and I did and I felt better.

And I sleep about 12 hours often, people think that is a lot and ask how I do it lol.

At least 24 hours, but that was only after I stayed up for three days straight for literally no reason, all I remember is drinking a milkshake and then blacking out.
