William Shatner As A Guest Voice: Who Should He Portray?

Wow, i can't wait to hear the akward pauses of his character.

 

You may not, though. Shatner voiced a cameo role in a Canadian cartoon called Atomic Betty about ten years ago, playing the title character's grandfather. He didn't use any of his trademark pauses once. It was an unexpected shift from what I knew of him and he did a fantastic job of conveying the emotion of the character.

They said they'd TALK about him showing up. It doesn't mean he WILL. Different things, actually.

 

That said, IF he appears, I hope he DOESN'T appear in an episode with Discord. I know that puts me an extreme minority, but it's just too obvious.

I want his potential appearance to be something different and interesting...

 

(though knowing him and DHX, he'll probably end up playing Starswirl )

I personally would want Shatner to voice a character who's maybe a former friend of Discord's or a rival of Discord's. Think of the brilliant exchange.

I'd love to see Shatner as an incredibly over the top Pegasi general in the wonderbolts.

 

I was going to echo that Shatner would make a good choice for Star Swirl, until seeing your post.  Patrick Stewart would make the BEST Star Swirl.

Normally I'd agree here, but the Comics seem to imply that Starswirl is basically just the Unicorn version of pinkie pie in his antics. that'd be terrible for him IMO :/

This a good one, somehow him doing Fluttershy's dad would be a good one and throwing in some Discord action would just add to the plot and show.

I would prefer him to voice a side character or important movie character that lives "beyond Equestria." I am still holding out hope for Patrick Stewart as Srarswirl and John Hurt as Grogar.
