Just listening to your voice for a while, I realize you sound like a girl!

Where did I get the idea in my head that you sounded like a boy? If you were sounding like a boy, you would have a great advantage in voice acting since boys don't stay boys forever.

I hope I didn't offend you by any of this. :sealed:

I need to do one of these "talks" recording at one point, instead of just goofing around.

I always thought girls had the advantage cause it’s easier for them to sound like convincing guys whereas most guys have to try really hard to sound like convincing girls (at least that’s what I assume)

Oo, "cathode short". :D

I sound like a right Essex chav. :yeahno:

Dunno why that should be surprising since I grew up there.

Chav (noun) UK derogatory slang word for a young hooligan who wears designer clothes and start fights, usually seen as lower class.

Depending from person to person, but girls (women) like Nancy Cartwright (voice of Bart Simpson) and Cathy Weseluck (voice of Spike in MLP FIM) are better suited to be the voice of boys as their voices never change over time. Boys that do sound like boys, at the age when they are becoming professional voice actors/singers have about a few months until their voice start changing too much, becoming deep, and usually (not always :mlp_wat:) loses the signing voice precision as well.

Here is an example, don't watch more than 5-10 seconds or you will be spoiled on Steven Universe (You don't want to be spoiled on Steven Universe!):

Voice actor Zach Callison (before he grew up, can't stop growing up!):

Here is him after he grew up (not many months later!), again watch only about 5-8 seconds (Don't allow yourself to get spoiled, Steven Universe is a great show!):

Firefox did crash on me. So @Phosphor, nice relaxed Youtube unboxing video there! (well, you should do unboxing, it is popular!). Also, quite a difficult accent to pull off, unless it is your native tongue.... (Is it your native tongue? :o)

That's my natural voice. I'm college educated, yet I sound like a redneck

Folks from up north or overseas usually notice my heavy southern accent during teleconferences and meetings at work.  ^_^

I unfortunately have no way of recording audio at the moment, but I sound pretty boring. Voice is a tad bit on the deep side, not just what I think but what I've been told as well. Unfortunately, to disappoint the people who are hot for southern accents, I don't really have one since I spent the first 11 years of my life in the Pacific Northwest. Accent would probably sound closer to something you'd hear up there. Though I think a little tinge of Texas snuck in, sounds mostly like you'd hear if you lived in Washington state/Oregon. It sounds pretty boring, I must say.
