What is your greatest achievement?

Recommended Posts

I found this idea around the internet and thought it would be a good topic sooo...

What is the one accomplishment you made in your life that you can always feel good looking back on it.

It could be anything, like maybe you cleaned your room without having your mom telling you?

I'd love to hear from you!

(And let's not say anything dumb or inappropriate, thanks.)

Mine was doing a huge drawing for a art exposition back at my school. It was a iguana-like dragon. I even carefully patterned all of its scales and spines. It was sweet! Everyone loved it. Sadly, I lost the drawing :(

Another one was the time i passed the entire SNES port of Joe and Mac:Caveman Ninja without dying once.

I'd have to day it was when I overcame my depression problems last Christmas. I went with my family to my grandparents' place for a few days and for some reason, I've been able to stay on top of my depression since then. I consider that a very defining point in my life. I do still have to keep fighting it though.

This is an interesting question, I honestly don't think I have accomplished that many things in my life, but I can think of a few things:

1. Being with my boyfriend, that is of course one the best things I could have accomplished, though he was the one that had the courage to ask me first so I attribute it to him the most. ^__^

2. I have to say, my place here on the forums. See, I have confidence problems and self esteem issues. Never would I have ever thought that I would be what I am here on these forums. I am on staff with Poniverse, I have made so many wonderful friends and I feel like I have been able to contribute to the site in a very positive way, at least I hope I have. I am proud of this and I want to continue doing good for the site. :)

3. My signatures/Avatar thread. Although I have many doubts about my signatures and my abilities because of the aforementioned confidence problems, I still am proud of my sig thread, I love that I am able to leave a mark on the fandom and the internet as a whole and it makes me excited to keep adding new ones again and again and making it better.

Those are the main 3 things I can think of and all 3 of these have one thing in common: It is all after I became part of the Brony fandom. Yeah, it has changed my life quite a bit.

I can not really think of 1. But here are a few of my great achievements this year:

1. Volunteered at the library for 10 hours in the summer

2. Won a debate at my school Debating Society ( especially since I am a shy person)

3. Am currently Finance Director of a company run by myself and 9 others

-Traveling across the USA with a van and my animals

-Over coming being homeless for six months

-Keeping my job and being a shift lead

-Getting the urge to write again and working on my stories again

-Not being defined by what my mom's family said I would become.

-Having the good friends I do and boyfriend!

1) being with my partner for 2 and a half years now

2) dredging a long dead spiritual faith out of historical oblivion, reshaping it, and representing it to the masses to mass success

3) publishing a book and profiting off its sales

4) creating and producing over 320 songs over a decade

5) creating countless artworks that have been showcased in restaurants, art shows and galleries in major institutions and cities

6) Having a well paid job

7) Running my own chat for over a decade that is based on love and acceptance, as well as fun and just a little bit of naughtiness, and most importantly, a place to vent and be honest

Personal Sanctification

When I was young. I had many mental and health issues.

As such I would shut myself from the world and refuse to learn about.

As I got older. I figured out how this was affecting my life.

To get myself out of the hole. I was in I had to force myself to mature at the young age of 11.

I'm 14 now. And could possibly be the most logically thinking boy in my class.

And all because this need. And want to get myself out of the hole. I had fallen into.

And to do that I was forced to learn from others very quickly.

Which eventually open my mind. To many people of different cultures and colors.

And helped me reach personal sanctification.

(You will have to excuse the original state this was sent in. I accidentally hit the send button )

Not absolutely losing my mind in sheer joy when Soldiers of the Night by SlyphStorm, 4everfreebrony and Midnight Melody last played on CLH radio.

That's a big deal. It shows I am one step closer to getting a handle on my insane joy I get over music.

Ok let me list some of them..

1) The fact that I wrote more than 500 songs (some of them got lost forever but idgaf they still are in my heart)

2) Stopping of always being sad (atleast now It's gotten rarer)

3) But my biggest accomplishment would be that one performance I did back in France in school I performed 6 songs in front of my whole school, I'm actually more proud of the fact that it was the day I discovered that I could totally get over my shyness

This is where I realize that I've done nothing with my life so far.... :-;

I hear you. I haven't done much either. Besides from droping out of high school and joining construction.

Though that's not much of a accomplishment.

You didn't waste your time with school, and managed to get a decent job? That sounds like an accomplishment to me ^ ^

Ha ha! That's kinda what my Dad told me a long time ago.

Seriously though, I paint exteriors on residential homes and...

It. Is. HARD.

10 dollars an hour working with ladders, weather, slopes...

But I do feel some pride after completing a project, so it's not too bad.

Well, I really admire that. Makes me happy to know there's people like you.

But don't forget, you can find a fulfilling job with education too.

Heh, that's the funny thing about education... Spend 13 years learning a ton of stuff, spend the rest of your life using the knowledge you didn't come by in school. I didn't need calculus for mopping floors, watching over kids or dancing in the dish pit!

Anyways, I think we should return back to the original topic.

I feel accomplished for actually waking up before noon or 2pm today~
