Well, they gave us a lot to think about between seasons. What drew my attention was the picture of Soarin' and Rainbow Dash:

 

 

What do you think about this pairing? I think its kind of cute. We will probably see a few more hints in season 3, but nothing definitive for a while. And that's my thoughts on the matter for now.

Well actually they're more of a military demonstration team.Like the Blue Angels (Oh how I love airshows).Anyways I have an explanation for this image:

 

1.Celestia hired wonderbolts to perform

 

2.They are at that last dance party thingy at the end of the episode

Are the Wonderbolts an actual part of the Equestrian military though? Their uniforms don't match any other royal gaurds that we've seen and they are never addressed by any kind of rank. I always thought of them as an independent outfit kind of like the Flying Tigers from ww2.

While they look cute together, I'm not sure if those pictures at the end were meant for us to ship the ponies, since that would imply Spike will now go after Rarity's sister. Plus, it might be RD happy to be with her idol and not necessarily in love with him. Still, if well done, I wouldn't mind if something happened.

The wonderbolts would need different uniforms. They need to remain aerodynamic.

 

Also remember they were sent to deal with a rampaging dragon and RD said they were brave. That is valid reason to believe that they fight threats to Equestria.

As far as it actually happening, I doubt it. If it did happen I would be making the same face as RD is making in the picture up there.

As far as this thing goes, I'm not sure. I don't think we have a complete firm grasp over his character and personality enough at this point. Only one speaking part in an episode, and this. Not really sure if it'll work out, but at this point, yeah, I guess it could go.

I hope that right now RD and Soarin' don't know each other well. Because they shouldn't skip the part where they become friends or anything. That's an important part that they should actually SHOW. I really wish that they didn't show it just as a photo.. There'll most likely be an episode that will show the two (as friends nothing romantic) together in a Wonderbolt episode.
